Well, I think I am sold on purchasing a KGO kit 1100mAh by SLB at Hoosier, and I was wondering if/what extra stuff I should also purchase to really get it up and running. I am completely new to vaping; this will be my first vaporizer. I am a fairly heavy smoker, usually about a pack and a half a day. I plan on using this at work, and I usually work 10-12 hour shifts. About how long does the liquid last? Any suggestions for particular cartomizers (I assume these are what I should be after based on other posts)? And, how long do they last? Any info/advice is appreciated.

Basically there are two way you can do those long day with cartos on your Kgo.
I like the carto tank the best,

but I've also been known to do this.

Just prefill cartos at home, and carry them in a TicTac box.

Cartomizers unless they are xl cartos hold approximately 1 ml of juice. The average person vapes 2/3-5 ml per day. Obviously you don't vape a carto dry- and shouldn't or it will burn the carto and it won't be any good. Try the cartos and master filling them then try what TJ suggested the tank.

The 1.7 hold about double- maybe a little under 2 ml of juice. Fill up a bunch and when flavor drops off, change the carto. Refill at night. Or try the tank!

The KGO is a very good choice as is the E-Power 14650 from Hoosier.

A couple of additional items from Hoosier to get you started...

-Try some of the single coil Smoktech 1.7 and 2.0 LR XL cartos. These are low resistance and extra large cartos that work very well with either the KGO or E-Power 14650. Also consider the Boge 2.0 ohm single coil.

-You should have a drip tip as a mouthpiece for the cartos listed above.

-Buy a good sampling of juices in small bottles like 5ml. I like Vapor for Life (VFL) but there are more good suppliers of juice out there than you can shake a stick at.

If you only have the two batteries that come with the KGO and E-Power 14650 kits you will be charging batteries every single frigging day unless you keep the KGO plugged into a USB port. Buy extra batteries. This is where the E-Power 14650 has a good advantage over the KGO. The 14650 batteries are virtually the same capacity as the KGO batteries but cost 70% less.

Make sure to take an extra charged battery to work with you and buy 3-5 batteries. Backups for your backup.

What I would do for a 10-12 hour work shift: Use a carto in a 3 or 5 ml tank (3 ml fits perfectly on the 510 batteries), take a bottle of juice and an extra battery with me...and throw in an extra PRE-FILLED carto just in case the carto in the tank should die. Buy a LOT of cartos.

Crystal Clear Vaping sells special packages of 15 cartos. crystalclearvaping.com. Here are the pre-punched for the tanks: Crystal Clear Vaping .... The CCV 1.7 cartos are GREAT in a tank on a 510 battery and they also sell the tanks there.

The 1.7 ohm cartos from CCV are exactly the same thing as the single coil Smoktech 1.7 ohm LR XL available from Hoosier. Hoosier also has the same pre-punched cartos if you should decide to go the tank route. I don't use a tank with the E-Power 14650 but always have one filled LR XL carto in the pv along with another filled carto for later in the day. The 14650 batteries last me more than a day (I was a 1.5 pack per day smoker) but I also pack along a spare battery.

You need to get pre-punched cartos for the tank or punch or cut them yourself. The Smoktech tanks work well and fit cartos sold Hoosier. At Hoosier, click on the cartomizers or new products section for a look at the tanks and pre-punched tank cartomizers. Smoketech tank cartos have a flange on the battery end to aid fitment to tanks.

Tanks work well. I haven't used them yet because I prefer the smaller size of using an XL carto alone. It fits better in the pocket for me and I don't need to be careful about knocking a tank around and having it leak. Lots of folks use and like tanks, though. You may find it easier to start vaping by using cartos alone first and upgrade to tanks a little later.

The Hoosier website can be balky at times. Try links again a few seconds later and they usually work.
