Hi :?:
I currently smoke "real" cigarettes, Parliament Lights to be exact and am looking to quit for a multitude of reasons. (i.e health, $ , and you cant smoke ANYWHERE in N.J.)
I found out about e cigs and have been doing research on them.
Based on what i found, it looks like manual e cigarettes seem to be more popular than automatic. though at first i really wanted to go for a automatic i've seen several comments stating how they 'leak'.
My main criteria is mainly
1. Small in size (more like a real cigarette)
2. Easy to use (the 2 piece e cigarettes seem to strike me)
3. And as girly as it sounds, pretty.

Based on that, i found two maybe 3
KR808D - electroniccigarettesinc.com
GreenCig G-300 -shop.nhaler.com/main.sc
*i like the idea of the travel cigarette box
M403 - litecigusa.net
Any advice or suggestions on them (or others) would be greatly appreciated seeing as im a first time buyer. Thanks!

The closest you can get to the size of a real cigarette and still have a good PV would be, in my opinion, the 510. You can get a PCC (personal charging case) that can keep batteries charged up for you and you charge the case when it's batteries get low. My wife uses the 510 and she goes for the "girly" things also. You can get them in blue, red, black, stainless, and a few other colors I think. The 510 is a three piece, but I think that 3 piece is the way to go. Get blank cartridges and e-liquid to refill them. Cartomizers can get pricey in the long run. But this is all my opinion, keep on reading on this forum and you will be able to make an educated purchase. You have a great source of information at your fingertips here.

I'd get a KR808d-1 at NHaler.com -- super fast service, lots of extras thrown in. Then I'd buy some juice to go along with it, because you use your cartridge up in a day and it's not cost effective to toss 'em...easily refilled a number of times with your favorite juice.

I used to have the 510 and it's not getting much use now that I have the KR808. The battery life is nothing short of unbelievable. (Get the long batteries.) It's not much bigger than a 100's cigarette. Using a cartomizer vs. screwing around with atomizers really has made vaping more stress-free for me. The GreenCig is good too, but not likely as good as the KR808. Other vendors on here carry good cartomizers for it as well.

It's the difference between fiddling with your 510 constantly and changing batteries every hour, vs. a vape that lasts most of the day and a battery that matches that. Hard to beat.

Good luck and keep the thought that you're just "changing brands." You will surprise yourself by not missing your cigs like you thought and in short order, you won't even much like the taste of them! Try NHaler.com 's sample sizes -- almost everything Drew carries is outstanding.

I will also have to vote for the 510. I have tried, lets see..... SE crummy model, Greensmokes terrible version, the DSE901 which I do like, but the 510 is still the best producer for me. It's all up to the individual user though, I had to find something that gave me a good enough throat hit and feel of inhaling something. Those other models just didn't do it for me. That's the problems with asking a lot of folks their opinion here.
You will get it, and we are all proud to give it to you too..... HA!

She said she wanted on that was the same size as a regular cigarette though and the 510 is not. I would recommend a m401 like the dragon from truesmoker.com I have both models and I prefer the taste of my dragon over the 510. If I had gotten the 510 first I doubt I would have continued, I was able to walk away from tobacco cigarettes the very day it arrived. You can now get the m401 in a manual battery as well if you don't like the auto battery, I like the auto battery myself but I stay at home and am not around loud noises that can turn them on and drain down the battery. The 510 is a fine E-Cig once it's broke in, I prefer mine on 6v though. You also mention that you don't want to mess with refilling your carts or dripping all the time which is something that you will have to do with the 510 or the m401 style. That leaves the cartomizers like Greencig and the KR808D-1. I have not tried either one of those yet so I can't render an opinion. I can say I find it really really hard to believe that one cart is equal to a full pack of tobacco cigarettes as they claim but I have no proof.....yet. Ordered one to sample and when it arrives then I can give a more informed opinion. As of now everyone that I have seen say anything at all about them has been positive, I can't recall one single person who said that they didn't like it. I try to tell everyone that is asking what one they should get to not stress too much over it, most of us end up with at least 2 different models if not more. These are consumables remember, if you wanted once your atomizer or battery took a dump you can just switch to a different style to check it out, all you really need with any of these is extra juice to add to them regardless of the model. If I wanted to I would just wait until my Dragon bites the dust and order a KR808D-1 at that time. So don't sweat it you will end up with another model somewhere down the road if you stay with it. I found out today that I can use my push in 510 usb charger to charge KR808D-1 battery so that's good to know, all I need to order then is a battery and a pack of carts, no need to spend the money on a whole kit, I can get those for $30 shipped!

I have an 801 a 510 and he VK, and I prefer my VK, the cartomiser are easy to change, and not to hard to refill either, I just filled 10 in about 15 minutes. I will admit that for customer service Steve at Vapor 4 Life has me hooked always super fast and usually some extra goodies in the package. The VK as I understand is essentially a KR808.

I got the ultimate ultimatum kit, and am happy I have automatic batteries and have had no issues, I do change about midday, but just throw the other on the pcc and I am good to go. I also now use my pass-through in my car, as I have a 30 min. commute to work

My other PVs have become automatic home dust collectors. Just check out the V4L forum here before you make a final decision.

For those on the fence here, the Greencig carts can be used on the KR808D-1 and vice versa, the Greencigs are twice as expensive not sure about twice as good, doubt it. Oh and before I forget you can lump the Vaporking in that lot as well.

If I was looking at getting either one I would go with the KR model just for the fact that it is a hell of a lot cheaper and I have not seen a E-Cig on the planet that is worth $140 that the Greencig starter kit goes for. Since the carts can be interchanged the only real difference is in the battery which is nothing more than a glorified power supply. If after a bit the battery is an issue I am sure some bright modder will come up with a Magnum or Chuck mod for it to crank it all day or pump it up to 6v.

My two cents. As I said before, don't stress over it, if your leaning towards the cartomizer grab a KR808D-1 and check it out. If you like it, then grab some Greencig carts to check out on it. You have a lot of possibilities open up, like I said I doubt the Greencig battery is that much of an improvement to justify the price difference especially with the carts being interchangeable. Good luck.

EDIT: The person asking about the 402/403 models, those are just different battery versions of the popular m401 that I mentioned in my first post. Those are not as long lasting at least one of them is, don't ask me which cause that is the extent of my knowledge on that matter. As for the PR models, I never heard of anything called that but that don't mean they don't exist or are not known under a different model name or something.

Hey Snark.
I have used my KR808 on my JS 3.7 but never on a 6v since I don't have one(YET) have you tried it on a 6v? I would imagine it would burn out the tiny atty in the cartomizers, but would be hella cool if it didn't...logical?not sure..but cool none the less.

Edit: sorry don't mean to hijack, but I figured if KRs are mentioned people would like to know
this as well......

First to let you know, I am still new as well- Just got my e-cig last Friday and the other Monday-
I am a gal & I am with Snarkyone- I love the Dragon (M401) - I have the automatic and plan to get a new battery- JD only has manuals right now and I was going to get that but love my automatic- I have not noticed too much sensitivity w/ it and we were at the skating rink even!
My battery lasts practically all day- I get good vape, throat hit (which is not a prerequisite for me), I think it is very "sharp" looking as a unit goes- I have refilled 2 of my carts- Very easy to do and JD has a how to vid on his website (Truesmoker.com)- The 401 is sold by a few other suppliers as well but not as The Dragon.. That is JD only.
I also got the Sidesho (it just came Monday) & btw, my husband & I both have taken up vaping is why I got 2- The Sidesho by ModernVapor is also a pretty nice unit- supposed to be a revised 401 and the only dfifference I see is it has the PCC (personal charging case)- A very nice feature since you can charge your battery right in the pack- so far my husband loves it!
He took over the Sidesho- LOL W/ both suppliers, Jd & Tony, customer service is top notch! The kits are priced reasonable! They care about their products and their customers.
Again, I am still pretty new but am very pleased with my purchases- Both units work very well- they both come w/ about the same amount of equipment-
Good Luck w/ your choices!

Oh! & biggest noob help I can give... Keep to this board- Very good info and just take time to browse back pages and pages! You will have most of your questions answered as you browse- and any other questions you have, drop the supplier a line- Most should get back to you- & if not POST! You will get great responses here!

For convenience, easy of use, and consistency you just can't beat a 2-piece (cartomizer) device. If you want to tweak, adjust, and mod.. then a 3-piece (like the 510) is probably the way to go.

As far as the 2-piece units are concerned, there is the stock KR808D-1 (talk to Drew at NHaler) and the customized units that you can get from Steve at Vapor4Life (VaporKing).... and the Greencig (also Drew).

I personally only have experience with the 510, 901 and the VK from V4L. You'll find quite a few fans and a heck of a support group over in the V4L section.

I love my Vapor King from V4L. It's my second PV and I'm totally off my 2 plus pack a day analog habit. I went high strength nic right away (24mg). I'm stepping it down a bit now but keeping the high around for needed moments.
What I LOVE about the vapor king:
1. Good throat hit, lots of vapor.
2. New atomizer in every cartridge. I do refill and you should too, it's a simple procedure though. I can refill 5 of them in about 5 minutes. I refill before they are totally done and have yet to burn one up. I'm on the same five I started with a week ago and they all look and vape great. This controls costs nicely.
3. Customer care at V4L is fabulous and users are very very devoted with good reason, excellent product and amazing support. Steve at V4L is a great guy and shows his appreciation of his customers.
4. Quality is very consistent from my own experience and that of others. Of course by nature products have issues sometimes. If something imperfect sneaks through V4L's quality control this guy will make it right, and right now. No hassles.
5. Vapor king is simple and user friendly.
6. The ultimate ultimatum kit is truly complete, all you need to add is some extra juice and you have all you need. You will still order again right away because the stuff is so fun, but you won't need to. You can customize and mix and match your kit to suit, like one manual batt. and one auto, etc. You want pretty they've got it, and you can mix up the colors too, he's ok with that and totally customized my own kit.
7. Shipping rocks, three days for me and I'm on the other side of the country from them.

Visit the Vapor4Life forum and you will see the devotion everyone has to this product. I'm sold for sure, totally pumped for my new coconut cartomizers in the mail today!
