I'm using a cf g power battery which starts at 4.5v and decreases to 3.5. As I'm using a standard battery should I get 1.8 or 1.6 bvc coils. Any advice appreciated.
Indeed. Higher ohms are easier to get a good vape on, with fewer watts. I even build them high on a rba for this reason. Like 2.2. Lower ohms will require more power, and that (at least to me) ends up in a slightly harsher vape than I'd like.
The higher resistance seems to always deliver a nice, smooth vape. Of course, YMMV.
Thank you. Just wondered if the 1.6 would give me more throat hit but I wouldn't want to lose flavour. The aspire website recommend 1.6 with a standard battery. But will take your advice ty

To be honest, the difference is marginal. If you can pick them up by the single coil, try each and see what you like. My guess is you won't notice a difference in taste, but you never know.
I've tried both and don't notice any difference. In fact on my Sigelei Legend they both read around 1.7 to 1.9. I've read they can be +/- .2 ohm. It does seem silly for them to offer these two options.
use 1.8. theres barely any difference from the 1.6 although you will notice it if you get used to one or the other. 1.8 wont drain your batteries as fast and especially if youre going to be using 4.5 volts itll last a little longer before you fry it lol.
i use 2 ohms in aerotank with between 3.2 and 4 volts. any more than that youre going to need a coil a day.
