Hey guys,
I wanted some to hear your inputs on what regulated temp control box mod I should be looking at...
Right now I'm thinking IPV3 li, snow wolf 200w, or the sigelei fuchai. I'm sure there are some other ones I should consider, and feel free to let me know.
I want to future proof myself, and I'm beginning to get into dripping (I'm more about flavor than clouds, but Both are good!- if that helps :/). I want external batteries (preferably 2- not looking into the reuleaux, but I suppose I could, however I hear there's the shortage in the dna chip or something like that...) so maybe throw that into the running as well. Yes, throw that into the running.
Also, If someone could explain why the snowwolf doesn't lock the ohms that would be nice too - and if that is the huge issue everyone is having with it (since I read that people don't seem too crazy about the snow wolf). And does the IPV3 li lock ohms? :/
I'm leaning more toward to snow wolf and IPV3 li, but I guess I'm just having a hard time committing to one or the other...
Any inputs would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have Snow Wolf 200 and it is a beast. Heavy, not very ergonomic... just a real big device. I use wattage mode, but many have stated that the Snow Wolf in Temp mode is terribly inaccurate. I still love it as it has been rock solid and battery life is pretty good and it looks damned cool too. I wouldn't want to drop it though as the glass panels would be a mess. Definately not a mod to take to work or bring for a night out on the town.

The Sigelei Fuchai is a nice device and well priced. It is a box shaped mod but the parallelogram shape makes it feel good in the hand. It doesn't feel as solid and well built as the Sigelei 150TC, but the Fuchai is cheaper and more powerful.

I really like the Reuleaux RX200. I have one on order that is currently somewhere Toronto and China, but I have used them and they are great IME. I will likely order a 2nd RX200 as well. Amazing value and power for the money ($40-50!) and feels amazing in my hand. Incredibly small for a 3x18650 mod. It is a bit heavy, but the batteries account for most of the weight. I can't justify another $100 for the DNA chip as I rarely do TC and I like simple mods.

The IPV3 I have no experience with. It looks like a good mod, but pricy.

It is a real good time to be looking for a 150-200w mod. It's amazing what is available for under $100. :)

I have been looking at the same mods. Right now, my three favorites are the RX200, the Fuchai, and the Koopor plus. All three have gotten great reviews, and all three have been dogged. I''m just waiting for the after xmas sales to see how cheap they get--heck, I may buy two of the three.

Whichever temp control unit you end up buying, I would only use Titanium coils. I just finished reading several documents and watching YouTube videos, and I would not jump on Stainless Steel, and I would definitely stay away from Nickel.

Yeah I went to my local b&m and one of the guys had the rx200 and I picked it up and was like "damn" lol. Maybe I'll stick with you for after Xmas sales and research some more :)

Het @fitzinthewindow , a local shop here had the Sigelei 150TC on sale for black Friday at 80 bucks. Ended up buying 2 for that price. :)

The prices are falling on many products. I cannot figure it out. Tanks, box mods...they've dropped since early 2015. You can get that 200W Sigelei Fuchai for around $65 now, and the price for the 150W Sigelei is still around $75 to $80.

I've heard lots of good reviews pertaining to the Reuleaux RX200 and it's something on the affordable side as compared to the previous DNA mod.
I'm in a thread with a bunch of folks who have the Wismec. They love it and have about convinced me to get one.

Ive seen and read some good reviews on the RX200 and it seems to be one of the more recommended 200w mods. I personally don't own any of them but this question always comes to mind, why can you get a sig200w mod (or pretty much any of them) for less than a sig150w?

The SnowWolf is very small for a dual 18650 mod. Most dual 18650 mods are significantly larger. The SnowWolf is only slightly larger than a single 18650 Hana Modz 30W box mod.

And the glass is rumored to be Gorilla Glass, VERY hard to break. I haven't taken a hammer to mine to test it, but I have dropped the back panel off the counter and on to our stone tile flooring while changing the batter. Not a scratch on it.

I was thinking it has to be Gorilla glass since everyone has said its pretty resistant to breaking...
