I am looking into buying a new mod to upgrade from the current gear I have. I do not need something too crazy in terms of wattage, and am also looking for something with a removable battery. I was looking at some hana modz, and the hana modz dna 30 seems really nice. Yet, can anyone recommend some other modz that might fit into the specifications that I listed?

Vapor Shark DNA 40, Vapor Flask DNA 40, BAP DNA 40, IVP2S, Sigelei 100w

I DO like my Hana Mod, though! :)

I've got a Hana DNA 30. Its a good mod although mine is a bit choosy in terms of what attys fit it. I've read somewhere that some Hanas have problems with the 510 connectors. Mine apparently does. On the other hand, I also have a Hana DNA 20 with zero problems. So maybe I was just unlucky.

If I had to do it over, i probably would have gone for the Vaporshark rDNA 30 or 40. Just feels better in my hand overall, and no problems with the 510.

You also might want to look into the DNA 40 thread floating around ECF

I don't know if I am quite sold on the DNA40 chip yet. I am hearing some different things. Maybe just that it went to market a bit quick. Anyway, the IPV Mini just came out. It uses the Yihi chip.

I will continue to read about experiences.

To be honest, the worst I've heard of the DNA40 was coming from a few well know personalities who were basing their opinions on pre-production devices as if they were production units. Sure a lot of guys who got the first batch had warranty issues out of the gate...which is why I ALWAYS wait for the 2nd or 3rd run, other than that the only issues I'm seeing involve people not understanding how to build with ni200 vs. an issue with the device.

My vaporshark rDNA40s have been running pretty flawlessly and exactly as I'd expect them to for the few weeks I've had them, running one kanthal and one ni200 side by side for comparison.

I've got a hana clone and mostly really like it. It is annoying that it has little metal nubbins for buttons that after awhile really dig into my thumb. I'm not too fond of the vent hole being on the bottom, and not terribly fond of charging through the usb (mini or micro) port. You can remove the battery and change it out, but it's a major pain to do it that way. It is very solid, but that also means a bit heavy for arthritic hands, but not too bad. I love the wide base as it stands up great. I've been looking at some fairly inexpensive mods for my nephew, and am very interested in the IPV mini.
