Hi, looking for some advice. I was using the kanger subtank mini, I loved it except it kept leaking all over the place. I bought another one but the same thing happened so I'm looking for something else. Using my old nautilus mini with the istick which is ok but I don't get the same vape from it. Looking for something with similar vape to the kanger which doesn't leak. I don't want to build my own coils but want a good vape. Any advice please as so many to choose from and I'd rather go with something recommendes. Thanks!

Going back to the Kanger Sub-Tank Mini; you tried two different ones so it seems fair that it is not the rare QC-missed tank that is the cause of the leak. I don't move on until I have mastered a topper. It just takes time and understanding of the characteristics. With that in mind, have you checked to make sure o-rings are lubricated with a bit of juice?

Hate to see two K-STMs go to waste. Give it another shot.

Good luck!

If it's leaking through the air hole, you could try different coils heads.
Some Kanger coils don't work well with thin juice. There are several versions out, including a new ceramic coil.
Yes that's what they were doing. I have friends who have found exactly the same thing so I'm not going to use it again I don't have time to be mopping up juice everywhere lol.

I like the Crown tank, but I've only used the rba, can't speak to the pre built coils. I like the Aspire BVC and Aspire Nautilus BVC coils. I also like the Triton coils. You might look at a Triton or Triton 2. Hits similar to the STM and Crown IMO. I have Aspire Triton .5 Clapton coils in my Silo Beast now, I just don't recommend that tank unless you like a LOT of air flow. There are a lot of tanks out that take the Aspire coils, maybe you'll get some more suggestions.

Mouth to lung is more like smoking a traditional cigarette, you draw with your cheeks then inhale

Direct lung you're sorta breathing through the mouth piece

I'm going with my suggestion for the Crown. The Herakles plus is nice, airy'er than the crown BUT its only got 2 options for pre-built coils and no matter what I do the tank manages to seep juice through the airflow holes. Not flooding but its a wet tank for sure.

Try the crown (direct lung), its only around $20-$25, and if you do a search on the forum you'll find its quite popular.

I went through 5+ sub tank minis and nanos. Like yours ALL of them leaked. Especially in the summer here in California. .. it was terrible. I switched to u well crowns. I know they're not the greatest but they're reliable, good vapor, good flavor, and they have taken me to my happy vaping place. NO LEAKING
At the end of the day if youre happy with your setup that's all that matters. I'm a pre built guy. I go 2 weeks on a crown coil. Stocking up for the vapocalypse. Making my own juice. Things are good.

Sounds like you want a sub-ohm tank since you said you prefer your Subtank's hit compared to the Nautilus mini. There are a lot of sub-ohm lung hitter tanks so you have plenty of options, thats for sure! It's a shame your subtank is leaky. I also recommend giving it another shot with those, maybe get some new coils and thicker liquid. Mine have leaked on occasion, but not badly enough to where I am frustrated with them.

Am using the Subtank "mini's" with the NON Nauty Aspire BVC's. No leaking! However, am a chain vaping, MTL, dedicated Tootle Puffer and rarely go above 9-10 watts. My juice is usually around 60 PG 40 VG or 50/50. I use the largest single air hole next to the "slot" or if the juice is a bit too thick, will use that largest single hole and a bit of the slot to get two holes. :)
