Aero-ring thing problem. Any ideas ?

I'm using protank 2's on my VTR and someone here suggested that input an aero-ring on them to improve my vaping experience. I have tried this but just can't get on with them at all - it's either so tight that I can't get a draw or so loose that it is mostly air. When I do manage to find the 'sweet spot', I get one decent vape off it and then move the damn ring when I pick up the VTR and have to start all over again !
Is this a common thing with these rings ? Or am I doing something very wrong ? Any advice will be greatly received before I throw the bloody things in the bin !

Which aerotank base do you have?

#1 -- spins freely
#2 -- I have to remove from my VTR to change the airflow

There is an airflow control on the market that doesn't actually work. It is not one of the ones in Susan's post.

The ones that directly replace the base in your Kanger tanks are the best.

I've put #1 on all my PT2's. The rings are fairly loose and need to be adjusted occasionally. Picked up a #2 and it was so tight that I haven't bothered to put it on anything.

If you've got the First base the OG Kanger style one make sure the base hasn't split.... As they are a push fitting base the top over time can work it's way off and give all sorts of issues. I know this as I've had a couple issue with my aero tank.

I have the early type Kanger Airflow Valve fitted to a VTR with PT2 and find it very effective. Yours does replace the PT2 base, yes? And it screws in? I wonder if we're all talking about the same thing.

Maybe the ring is overly loose and moving at the slightest touch. Try using a small piece of tape to hold in in place when you find the good spot. Blue painter tape would work good - stays on but come off easy when you want it to.

I can see that happening, but I keep mine wide open so it's not an issue for me. Mac is onto the right idea but If the tape look isn't your thing, maybe see if you can find an o-ring the right size to act as a keeper under the adjustment ring.
