Do you have one of those rubbery jar openers? I've used those before I'ved converted most of my v2's to the v1 air control because of these being so tight
I tried everything, even a suggestion to freeze it, nothing worked. In the end I used a hammer and punch. Not the best tools but got it turned enough to get a reasonably draw from it and it's still overtight.
I'm just buying i think to try different types to try and find what's gonna work for me best. When I find the type/style that works I will be looking for the best ones I can afford. Until then keep trying cheap.
You're having issues because it's a clone tank. The real aerotank mega's control ring is so loose that it turns in your pocket; which most people complain about, but I personally like the ease of adjustment.
I have two aerotanks, the mega and the mini. The mega turns great. The mini is a bear. I either loosen the tank, or loosen the base. It will turn, but MAN.
*EDIT*
Sorry. Didn't realize you were using a fake. You get what you get, in that case.

Yes it's a clone. Just an FYI any time fasttech sells something that is a clone they will include the word " style " in the description. If it states authentic then it's the real deal.
The OP did mention that he bought it to try it out to see if he likes it. I do the same some times but all my tanks end up being authentic. My advise is buying from of the 2 links below.

I can't tell you how many times now that I've loaned my AeroTank mega (authentic) to my wife and when I get it back I go to take it off my MVP2 and end up with a lap full of liquid. I think I'm unscrewing the base from the MVP2 but in reality I'm unscrewing the tank itself. It's because she tightens it onto the the PV so tight. Now I've learned that even if I'm the only one using it, I pay attention to what I'm doing and I hold it upside down just in case the tank comes apart instead of unscrewing from the MVP2.
In any event, I'd guess that it's because the OP's is a "styled" or clone device as all of our AeroTanks have a buttery smooth air valve ring. They're super easy to spin but they don't spin when putting it away in our pocket etc. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of cloned (counterfeited depending on who you want to ask) devices that look great and work just as good as the authentic item at a fraction of the cost but perhaps the mfg of the OP's item may not have high standards, or it was just a bad batch or something like that.
