No, actually, I filled up right to just below the holes.

The Ring, Provari.

I did mean to grab one from IBTanked when I placed an order a few days ago but I brain farted and forgot.

Gee, I guess i'll just have to place another order.....;)

If you're talking about the one that is used with their tanks it won't work. I have 2 and use them with the IBTanked tanks but they are too tall for anything else's 510 connection to even get near to catching, much less screwing in.

For an IBtanked tank the carto slides down from inside the tank to make a connection.

Yes, I am aware they are taller. I want to get them for my ibtanked when using them on the Provari because the Provari rings are a wee bit too thin. I've also found in a few cases that all 510 threads are not quite created equal and some are just a wee bit longer.
But Hey, Thanks for the input............:)

What are some "long term" updates on this tank?

First tank had a base problem (Coils constantly reading around 3-4 ohms), but the supplier turned around my RMA same day.

Draw is different than on regular Aerotank. "Lighter" or less resistance to your pull if you know what I mean, so don't try to drag hard on it. I've found the best vape on it is long and slow.

Old style dual coils and the new ones work fine on it. Had the occasional light gurgle when firing up the old ones, new ones seem more consistent.

Flavor is outstanding, much more pronounced than on my regular Aerotanks.

Construction in nice and solid with smooth threads. Easy to dismantle and re-assemble. Easy to fill - there are four holes but it fills with a regular juice bottle without any overflow into the center.

I like the look of it on my old eVic and my new Supreme. Extra capacity (which is why I bought it) is great and seems to work consistently whether full or when only partial.

Still haven't found new coils in stock anywhere. Like the tank enough it will be my home goto tank for a while. I will likely buy another when they become available in other colors.

I am disappointed with Kanger. This tank is amazing, the flavor, the density is great. But it looks like the coils cannot be rebuilt. I took one apart and the top is press fit. No matter what i try i cannot put it back on. Looks like Kanger is going the same route as Aspire and does not want customers to rebuild the coils. When the coils go bad on this, i probably wont use it anymore. I feel like i just got kicked in the nuts.

Ouch, sorry about the nuts.....

This is my fifth day with the Mega. From the moment I got it out of the box, its been a great tank.

I broke it down right away and cleaned it with diluted Lemon Joy. Dried it by wiping it down with paper towels and finished the dry with a Dust Off then re-assembled the tank.

Using Nicoticket "The Virus", I put a needle dripper on bottle and pushed a wee bit of juice into the punch holes on the side of the coil. (2.0 ohm), Installed the coil and filled the tank.

I then placed it on the Provari and throttled down on the air flow and took 3-4 lite pulls. After that I fired up and checked the ohms which were teetering between 2.1-2.2. Set the vollts at 3.3 gave a couple of quick bumps. I then let it sit for a minute before bumping up to 3.7 volts.

After adjusting the draw to my preference, I hit this thing hard for the first three of days and have been hitting it on and off pretty good the past couple running between 3.7 and 4.2 volts with my preference being at 4.2. I have had no gurgles, no dry hits and no burnt taste and it sizzles like a frying pan at the 4.2 setting when the tank starts to go low.

The flavor has been consistent and it keeps motoring along. I have had very good vapor production the whole way so far and my plan to run this coil until it dies.

For me, this is the first tank where I think I am going to stick to the stock coils and pay the price for replacements because I like the idea of replace and go without having to fart around. Even if it means getting a bum coil once and awhile, I am prepared to pay the price.

Your results may very but, for now, I'm a happy camper........:vapor:

The Kanger Aerotank Mega just arrived in my mailbox today, it is a great tank, on par with the Nautilus, probably a touch better with taste so far. The Nautilus would have been my go to, but the coils are wonky, some are horrendous, some are ok, a few (far and between) are great. If the Aerotank Mega coils hold up (originals and replacements) it will definitely beat the Nautilus in my book. YMMV

So far i love my mini, and i'm thinking about getting the mega as well. I have not seen one in person, do you think it's possible to drill a tiny fill hole in the top cap? Seeing vids of it being filled up then tipped back over looking like it's only half full, i think that would drive me insane on a daily basis.

You probably could but I wouldn't. It would probably screw up the "pressure/vacuum" that is needed to get juice to the wick. Once you use it, and see how much vapor and taste it produces, you'll get used to the half full look, although it is still bothering me a little. I just have to keep telling myself that there is a lot of liquid still in there. This tank rocks so far!

I get why you are upset.. but you have to look at it from a business perspective.. they are losing out on a TON of profit because people are rebuilding the heads instead of buying new ones.. Innokin was smart and after the original iclear30 they pretty much made it impossible to rewick the ones after..

Hopefully someone will eventually figure out how to rebuild it.. otherwise I'll just stick to a kayfun anyways..

I love my Kayfuns, Ibtanked, And even PT's and Aero's for what they are. I build my own coils for them (except Ibetanked of course). As I said in my earlier post, I find the new Kanger coils for the Mega/ Mini Mega to be good enough that I am not going to sweat it. Its nice to finally have a tank that I can rely on and just load and go.

I am still hitting my original coil more than a week later!

My understanding is that the conventional dual coil heads from the PT3 and aerotank can be used in the mini and mega. And those can be rebuilt.

As much as I like my kayfuns, they're too large for portable use, so I got an aero mini last week. Fantastic flavor, but boy does it go through liquid fast. I think it goes through liquid even faster than my only other dual coil, the iclear16.

I'm still using the first coil and haven't tried fitting the old ones in the mini. I hope what I read about them being interchangeable is true.

My first coil finally came to an unceremonious death yesterday. Flavor was still there but the vapor production drooped off.

Broke in a new coil and I'm off.......:vapor:

Conventional dual coils will work in the Mega and I have a another (new in the box) unit I am going to build a coil for. It will be interesting to make a comparison between the two. Now my only quandary is cotton or wick?

Do the aerotanks run cooler than a regular protank? My mini protank 2 doesn't get alot of airflow and I have to hold the button for a fairly long time to get a rip. Also I feel like not enough air is flowing around the coil when taking a draw, thus the coil get quite hot. Do the aerotanks alleviate this problem, namely do the coils stay cooler?

Yes, Aero's run cool.....Are you sure your air passages are not gunked up on your mini 2?

I clean them out regularly. My grandfather picked up a mini protank 2 from a local smokeshop which did not have an authentication code on the box. The air holes on his base are slightly bigger than mine, and his unit gets better flow.

Isn't the mega coils the same as the PT3 and other aero? Edit: basic research says no.

I've got the normal aero but the coils gunk up and burn in a few days :(. I am going to give a cotton micro coil a go when my cotton arrives. Silica rebuilds don't seem possible.

Edit: Now I wish I purchased the mega not the normal. Coil housing looks much better.
