Aerotank Mini Coils Won't Fire With New Airflow Control Valve/Base

I recently purchased two Kanger Aerotank minis and right out of the box the coils won't fire.
All four of them in either of the two airflow control bases. However, if I put the coils
in the base for my old Protank II, they work just fine. I looked at how deep they seat,
and it's exactly the same; so they must be hitting the post on the battery. I thought
maybe there was some film on the the threads so I soaked them overnight in
vinegar, but still no go. I'm hoping I'm just doing something wrong. Any help
would be greatly appeciated.

what kind of battery do you use?

stupid question but, is your airflow completly closed?

Typical Ego threaded VV battery. Yes, tried opening and closing the airflow.
It's almost as if the metal isn't conductive.

have you tried to use an old coil from your protank in the aerotank base?

Yeah. Actually just tried that with an old single coil in the Aerotank base, and those won't fire
either. I've tried two other batteries as well. Really weird.

yep, the base seems to be the common factor here ... super weird ...

Yeah. Me neither. The only other possibility I can think of is that the bases
aren't genuine Kanger. I did buy them on Ebay, but the seller has sold many
with good ratings. I was comparing the box to pictures online, and if it's counterfeit
they did an extremely good job. Well, thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.

i have kranger clones, they work just as well as originals, that shouldn't be the issue, smthg is wrong right in front of us and we can't see it, hopefully someone more experienced will

I would just get back to the seller, he might know about the issue
