Protank II + Aerotank base problems?

After hearing some good feedback about using the Aerotank base on the protank II, i decided to try it out. Vapor is awesome but the flavor seems to be muted, although this is probably because I've been dripping almost exclusively for a while.

My problem arises when I rebuilt a coil head with cotton and 30ga kanthal. The coil reads 1.8 ohms and fires fine on the protank base, but when I put it on the Aerotank base both my apvs read it as 0.0 ohms. The Aerotank base seems to work fine with new coilheads that I haven't rebuilt yet.

Any ideas?

That's strange,I have rebuilt several coils with the aero base on it reads the same,wish I could help.

The aerotank base requires a little more precision with rebuilt heads. If the leads are sticking out of the bottom AT ALL, it will make contact with the base and short out. Take a paper clip or something and push the leads in a bit to avoid.
