Aerotank stopped working, makes battery super hot.

I bought the Kqnger aerotank a while back and wasnt that impressed so i bought the aspire nautilus and put the Aerotank in a drawer. I recently got a nemesis clone and put my nautilus on that and decided to put the aerotank on my magneto (which it was on originally). Not only does the aerotank not fire, but it makes the battery super hot within seconds. I put the nautilus on it just to see if it would work and it did no problem and the battery was fine. Anyone have any ideas why the aerotank would just stop working and cause the battery to get so hot? I did put a brand new coil in the aerotank before i used it....could a bad coil cause that? Please help.

Sounds like a short. Could be a bad coil. Magneto pin might be too high and pushing the bottom of the coil to the side and shorting it or something. Whatever the case, I don't believe this is a safe situation at all and you shouldn't push it.
