I have been spending a lot of time the last few days researching and asking questions on the forum and at supplier websites about 808d-1 batteries and was ready to pull the trigger and getting some Volt batteries, but now I think I have changed my mind. Now I am really looking at the pigcig from lecig.

From what I have seen from reviews it is basically just large 808d-1 battery, with same voltage giving a nice warm hit and as a bonus comes with an adapter to use all of my GS d-2 cartos (which because I am a noob i stalked up on).

So the reviews I watched and read are almost 1 year old. My question is, is there another large battery (maybe not mod large :)) out there that acts just like an 808 with same voltage that is better then pigcig after a year or is this still a good bet for an 808 fan?

And does it still come with that adapter for the D-2? it does not mention that in the description.

Is there a reason you want an 808??? My advice if you're new is to go with a KGO.. it's 510 threaded, which means there are a TON more options for attys/cartos/ tanks and such. SLB KGO Starter Kit This is a really good one. I have four of them,, they last all day and into the next on a charge and give great vapor! Good luck on your search!

There are adapters to change an 808 to a 510. 510 threading is really popular. I haven't tried the others so I really don't know the difference. What to buy depends on what you want/need. Personally, I think variable voltage is the way to go. You can change the voltage to what works best for you and it will hold that charge until the battery needs recharging. Otherwise, a fresh battery will tasted WAY better than a battery that is almost out of juice.... Check out the deals and steals thread for discount codes and sales, so you don't over pay for what you get... yep. I did that, too.... Good Luck!

Most 808 fan will tell you Echo is the current good bet for 808 fat batt.

Some (especially Volties) will tell you Volt X2 from SI is the best bet

Both are cheaper than PigCig - even the kit (Volt X2 doesn't come with kit tho - but charger/usb cable included); then you can just buy the adapter for about $5.

Thanks, I will have to look into these options. I actually like the look of the Volt X2. I can't seem to find any Echo's at the moment.

You can get an 808 adaptor for almost any bat, or adaptors for almost anything you want to put on an 808 bat. There is no shortage of choices, and for the life of me, I don't see why anyone makes such a big deal out of it. If you want longer life get a bigger bat. If you want more output get a high drain bat.

I guess I didn't know I was making a big deal about it. I am trying to make the best informed decision I can so I do not waste money (one of the reason I quit smoking in the first place). I have searched and read a lot from this site, but MaH, volts, Ohms and other terms are thrown around and I do not know how they apply to all of the devices and what is good and what is not. I have been able to piece some of it together, but not all of it. Like 808's usually burn at 3.7V and gives off a warmer vapor when used with the correct cartomizers. I use that now and like it and want to get something similar but bigger that is of good quality, not just an adapter for whatever battery and make it work.

Maybe I am asking the wrong question. I guess it doesn't have to be an 808 although this would be easier with what I currently have. How about, can anyone tell me what the best fat battery that is 3.7V? Prefer 808 threading, but am willing to change for the right battery. :)

Volt X2 is regulated 3.7V 808. Some Echo are regulated 3.7V, some are not (4.2V fully charge ~ 3.7-3.6 after)

For 510, KGO is highly recommended.

Or if you like, you could get cheap box mod.
