Hey all. Just a quick for fun Question.
If you smoked regular Cigarettes for any length of time then made the switch, What were the first things you noticed after ditching the analogs?
A few nights ago, I decided to stop at the local Dairy Queen for a Blizzard (It's like a reeeeeeeellllllly thick milkshake that you eat with a spoon for anyone not familiar). It had Graham cracker pieces and chocolate chunks in it. When I took the first mouthful........[MODERATED]!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was like I had never tasted one of these before (Because I hadn't really). I knew your taste buts would come back but I didn't expect it so soon and so dramatically. What were your first OMG moments after switching?

taste improves, good food tastes better but.. bad food tastes nasty. sense of smell increases dramatically.. there is a world out there and it stinks.. ;) I didnt realize diesel fumes were so bad... and old lady perfumes can knock you to your knees...
coughing fits become reduced in about 2-4 weeks ( no more evil eye from the wife concerning coughing)

It's amazing how fast your senses return. I remember my first day of vapeing. I decided to make the switch, that morning I had my last cigarettes at home. I left for the day, stuck to vapeing. When I returned home, about ten hours later, opened the door, holy cow! It was like someone shoved two full ash trays up both nostrils! I never even noticed that smell before! Honestly, I was shocked! I told several people, if someone would have told me that I wouldn't have believed it! As luck would have it I've since moved (unrelated) I've never smoked in my new place and never will!

My sense of smell. I smell EVERYTHING now.

What is a bit surprising to me is how sensitive I've become to the smell of analog cigs. The other day I went to pick my car up from the shop, I showed up about 2hrs after they called to let me know it was ready.... When I got in my car I took a couple of sniffs and, like a bloodhound, I immediately knew that the last person in my car had smoked a cigarette before they got in it to park it. Mind you, they didn't smoke IN my car (the smell wasn't strong enough for that), they had just smoked before they parked it. 2 hrs later and I could still smell it. Makes me wonder how bad everyone around me had it when I was smoking.....

Many things. The first is the smell of ... smokers. It's amazing, how it stinks and how strong the smell can be. Once you've smelt it, it can be a big motivator not to start smoking again. Then the smell of my hair. After a week off analogs, my hair doesn't smell like them anymore and I can't say I miss it. Though it tends to smell like.... Mocha Java Smooth, now

The other thing I've noticed during my multiple attempts to stop, is how much better I feel when I work out, how I'm not out of breath anymore, and how much progress I make, almost overnight. My work capacity goes up, and all my lifts go up in a few weeks.

I've never noticed any difference when it comes to taste, though. Even my sense of smell doesn't seem to be better - except for the ability to smell cold cigarette.

My sense of taste was the first thing I noticed, lack of cough was the second, and the third thing I noticed was how sore my lower lungs were from getting more oxygen to them than they'd had in the past 32 years. It literally hurt my lower ribs to take a breath. That was back when I used 3 inhalers and a nebulizer to help with breathing. I currently don't have to use any!

Smell and taste were the first things I noticed. It wasn't necessarily a good thing though :S

After a week or 2 I really started to notice the stale smoke smell in my car and in the closet where I kept my jackets. After some thorough cleaning and an auto detailing/filter replacement it was quite pleasant to have my sense of smell back.

The next thing was getting my breath back. I was never the guy to get winded on stairs, but I did notice it when snowboarding. Just bending over to strap in, I would feel winded. My first trip up after switching (a few months later) I noticed that wasn't happening anymore :)
