My first DIY setup has finally arrived!

I looked up a clone recipe of a juice that Im particularly fond of, made a few minor adjustments(Im a chef so I kept the percentages of flavorings but swapped out one or two of the flavors for what I believe to be more accurate flavors) and the outcome is (for now) a VERY similar juice to the original.

I also whipped up a quick batch of absinthe.

Both of my first attempts turned out really well, using 20/80 (PG/VG) for the first and 100% VG for the absinthe. Both batches are 0nic and will stay that way!

Very excited to become a part of the DIY community. I will be playing around with recipes and experimenting lots(the chef in me). Any hints or secrets for creating recipes would be appreciated, for the time being though I will be keeping it quite simple!

Congratulations, I too have just made the first step into DIY and was pleased with my first very simple creation. A simple creamy pear concoction. Am also trying a few batches of NETs.

Hopefully you'll share some of your chef inspired recipes with the rest of us.

I certainly will, when I deem a recipe complete and/or proper I will definitely post.

The mix I used for the "clone" has:

Strawberries & Cream (CAP)
Wild Blueberry (TFA/TPA)
Ethyl Maltol (TFA/TPA)
Watermelon (TFA/TPA)

Good mix but the percentages arent perfect so I wont be posting those until its "serveable"

Tip: Always mix a small batch of a new recipe, even if you're almost sure you'll like it! Sucks having a 125ml bottle full of DIY juice that you decide later isn't for you!

Yup! I totally understand and +1 that concept! Same applies in the kitchen. The juices I made today, one was single flavor so cutting/thinning/whatever isnt an issue, but I made a 10 ml of the mixture, I'll vape through that in an afternoon...trying to let the flavors mellow just a bit before I use it up!

NET = Naturally Extracted Tobacco.

Trying it the slow steeping method in PG, so still have a few weeks left.

Ahhh very cool! Ive never been a fan of tobacco flavors. I would have to sample what the outcome is before I put the time into doing those. I just did another batch of my mix from earlier today. Im gonna let it steep for a couple of days and if it turns out like I think its going to I will post the percentages!

Alright so here are the percentages...

Wild Blueberry : 5%
Watermelon: 2.5%
Ethyl Maltol: 0.6%

I mixed mine max VG, the flavors are all PG so its about 15/85 final ratio.
