Hi people I could not find if this topic has been covered, so I apologise in advance if I double post. I aquired the AGA-7 duel coil rba in a bargain basement sale. Following the instructions in the manual supplied by the manufacturer the blasted think leaked all the juice out of the air hole and I spent 5 hours trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. The method the manufacturer uses with cross over horizontal coils is hopeless. I found this in which the guy uses vertical coils and cotton to pack the inside of the RBA around the wall and wick the coils. Yay it works no more leakage. I tend to like this idea and am wondering if it would be good on other RBA's with similar problems. I have never tried vertical coil builds and this is my first.

I have one If you mean the Aga t7? Never read the manual (never noticed it had one ?). I have horizontal stacked coils, and yes, crossed them to cover all 4 wick slots. I make quite the nest with my wicks.

I don't use that tiny grub screw to fill it though. I close the airholes. Sit the glass on the metal tank part. Fill carefully. Screw on top cap and flip and finish for the last half turn. Keep inverted and open airholes. That works better for me.

Mine doesn't have a manual,lol!

Just curious, how does their build compare with mine? This is the one atty that really forced me to think hard about the build. I thought of 4 dfferent ones before I settled on that one. I spent like 15 minutes studying that base.

I would like to see your build as well.

As the only other T7 user out here, I'm with Roxy in that the key is to get enough wick packed around the inside of the base.

Mine is wicked with rayon and has been sitting on its side for about 3 weeks without a drop of leakage. It is not in my daily rotation as I am waiting on new batteries so I can vape it without risking chunks of my face.

Yep quite correct, you have to pack enough cotton around the sides to stop the thing from leaking. I use now the vertical coil build, yes my t7 came with a user guide but one needs a high powered magnifier to read it. I tried the cross over wicking, but what I might try next coil replacement is putting an "0" ring around the wall instead of wasting wicking cotton. The Video link provided in the first post helped a lot. I use his method now with the T7 and when I drag out the trusty old Kayun I will give his method a go also as I do like stacked vertical coils and I think with the limited space in the Kafun I think it will work.....when I have time I will try it and let you peeps know.

Thanks Roxy for the idea.......of filling the Grub screw is a PITA.....:censored:

Ok, now that I watched the video, I'll share the other builds that I considered because he did something similar to what I thought of with his coils.

1. Use one long and one short post (1 pos and 1 neg) per coil and put horizontals next to each other. The right side coil would wick the right side of the base and the left coil would wick the left side of the base.

2. Same thing with verticals next to each other like his. Similar wicking as he did.

3. Stacked verticals with one wick going through both coils and around the deck.

I do want to mention something in regards to the video. IMO, he should push those coils together so they are centered over the airhole. His build might open the airflow, but will also cut down on the flavor. That was my experience dual coiling the Rose. If I left the coils on each side of the airhole, my flavor was not as good as when I pushed the coils together so they were both over the airhole. I don't want to vape air, lol! I want the air to flow around the coils and give me maximum flavor from my juice.

The t7 is not my only stacked coil build. I have used them in the Tilemahos and in my Ubertoot clone. It woke up both those attys compared to a large single coil.

Lol Roxy, yes its a video; this dudes suggestions and yours certainly helped and I do thank you. N ow that I have worked this gizmo out its not bad, however I think I will stick with my Kafun and the Kangartech Sub Tank and contend myself with single coil builds until I find a better unit. I have looked at a few and have one on order by snail mail from China. I do have a couple of drippers with twin coil config but now that I have messed with this one I might wait for the others arrival.

Yeah, I've had a migraine for a week because it won't stop raining. Not only did I not notice that was a video, I read things wrong in other posts :p

Don't give up on your Aga. Its actually one of my favorite attys. Yes, the most challenging one I've bought yet, lol! But yummy :)

Sorry to hear about your migraine, my doctor gave me a perfect cure, but when I asked her for a prescription she declined. She told me to go and have a cup of Marajuana tea (tasted like pig swill even with honey in it) but it worked. In Australia they are actually doing medical research into its legal applications as a pain suppressant; yeah right, why not recognise vapes as a Nicotine Replacement Therapy device....The pharmaceutical companies would love that about the marajuana I mean, as any fool can grow it. LOL.

Nah not giving up on the Aga its not bad when I am board and want to mess with something but when in a hurry I will stick with ready made sub ohm tanks.
