Ok so i saw a few pics of Aga-Ts with dual wick and dual coils. So i went ahead to experiment to try and make my own. After hours of tinkering and what not i still couldn't get it to work.

The thing i don't really get is, are both coils supposed to be attached to the the same positive post?

How do you make two seperate coils in parallel circuitry without shorting both?

I used the smaller post with the hole as a negative post for one of the wicks while using the normal screw negative for the other (both are also attached to the center post on the other ends). It always shorts when i try that .

Would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me on this. There aren't any youtube video guides on a dual wick/coil setup on the AGA-T.

Dual wick and coil setups are difficult, fussy, and generally not worth the trouble. You will need dual air holes in your cap for this to taste any good. That said; you can share connection points. The wires can both start at the pos. post, and for that matter, they can share a neg. screw as well. BUT they need to be exactly the same length. Shorts are usually a different problem. Try running a parallel dual coil down one wick first, just to get the hang of it. Did you know that dual coils cut your resistance in 1/2? A DUAL 3/4 wrap of, say, 32 Kanthal is going to give you a Super Low Resistance coil. If your using a VV device, it won't fire. Is that the "short"?

Thank you for the reply. My wires were not of the same length. Would that cause a short? I got about a 0.9-1.0 ohm coil. Funny thing is it would fire the first time i pressed then always on the second press it would say "atomizer short". Then i fiddle the coil or touch it and then it would fire again once and short on the second press.

I was using 32 awg twisted kanthal, will try normal 32 kanthal instead.

I used the smaller post with the hole as a negative post for one of the wicks while using the normal screw negative for the other (both are also attached to the center post on the other ends).

I was under the general impression that knocking out that post to be used as a second wick hole worked the best for dual coils on an AGA.

Perhaps one coil ended up shorter than the other?
If you add the total resistance of both coils you need to divide that by 2 for the atty ohmage, is it above 1.2?
Since you're on a VV mod, maybe a small gauge wire setup would work to increase ohms?

I think I did the math right on this, Pdib will have to double check me tho

Dual Coil AGA (3/32 wick) with 32Gauge Kanthal A-1 6/7 wrap should come out to 1.5ish ohms.

Dual coil + eVic = no good.

The eVic has an 11watt limit. You're looking for 16+ with a dual coil.

Edit: and pdlib is wrong about needing a second airhole, though you may want one. Mine taste fine with one airhole, it's just that the throathit is monstrous (with a 24mg juice) - just they way I like it.

Your right, Grindle. I should have said a second air hole would be good, unless you like a "monstrous throathit". ;)
