Im looking to buy a new atomizer and i think im fairly proficient in the genesis style but im interested to try a silica style tank. The only genesis i have is a chid but I've gotten a great vape out of it. So is the aga t+ that much better than a chid or should i try the terminator?

Two very different devices with very different benefits and complications. If you like Genesis stuff I would go for the T+, the Terminators are nice too but it's nothing like a Genny - also, if you're going to get a Terminator, do you have a VV device? Of course they aren't necessary but the coils are a bit finicky sometimes and it's nice to be able to correct mistakes, as once you fill the sucker it's a pain to recoil it.

The IGO-L will leak like crazy in a pants pocket though. I thought "tiny air hole, how much could it leak if it stays upright in my pocket while standing?" The fabric apparently wicks the juice right out of the air hole. It literally left the wick dry, and my wick doesn't even contact the air hole. Slight tilt + fabric wicking made for a messy pocket.

I still carry it though. I cover the air hole with a fat rubberband while it's in my pocket and take it off to vape -- no leaks.

I have both and use them differently. The terminator is mostly leak free. It takes longer to rebuild though. I've used cheesecloth, but I found strands would come loose and get caught in the threads. I now use cotton yarn instead, which fits perfectly in the channels. The vape is cooler though, and the taste can't match a low ohm coiled Aga-T or T+ on a mechanical. But the gennies can leak if left on their side. I love both, but the Aga-T gets the nod for flavor and vapor warmth.

I love my Term-C (I use 2.5mm wick, by the way... I find 3mm to be too bulky for it). Generally it's gennies when I'll be stationary, and the silica atties like the Term-C, Penelope and iAtty for on-the-go.

And I find that not every juice really is better in a Genesis. Some of them taste better to me with silica.
