I just got my AGA-T2 from COV but I'm having a little issue. Has anyone else had an issue with the top nut on the center post acting like its stripped. Actually I should say its more like the rod acts like its stripped. The rod is almost flush with the top of the nut before the threads catch. I have tried swapping the position of the nuts and it is the same. In fact 28 gauge wire put to much space between the top nut and the center one so the top nut wont thread. It just sits there. I had one of the nuts go flying into the netherworld. Is this normal??

When the nuts start getting tight the rod starts spinning. When I put it together I put it tight on a mod then put the first nut on as tight as I can get it. If you don't get the first one tight you will run out of room on the top one. When I'm tightening the top one on the wire it wants to spin before I get it as tight as I want so I use two pairs of needle nose pliers. I hold the bottom two nuts with one pair while I tighten the top nut with the other. Gets nice and tight this and no slipping which will spin and screw up your coil.
