It all boils down to the genesis mode. I took the AGI out of the box, washed it, wrapped a 1.6 ohm coil in genni mode, worked out my hotspots, and tried to vape it. Key word here, is tried. I had a freshly charged AW IMR 18650 and it should have been an awesome vape. It was incredibly weak. First thing I did was check my battery. It read 4.2 volts fresh off the charger. Next, I put it on my TeleZMax. Even at 15 watts of power with two freshly charged 18350's, this thing sucked. So, I wrapped a second coil with 28 gauge kanthal wire. Even a .8 ohm coil was performing awful.

After all that, I decided to try it in drip mode. Oh dear vaping Gods! A 1.2 ohm coil and I was in vaping heaven. I decided to inspect my tank section and I found that the internal spring was badly heat discolored. On a quick side note: for those of you that are having leaking issues in drip mode, wrap teflon tape around the small hex head screws and the ground screws. I took a razor blade and cut the strips to the proper size and no leaking since! Teflon tape is vape safe.

So after I discovered the discolored spring, I tried several different workarounds. I played around with different methods while still in drip mode. I had some very small copper and brass springs that I tried. Both of them became incredibly hot and discolored. I also tried the central air shaft from a CE2 clearomizer. When I pulled the CE2 rig apart from the top, I could not hold onto the CE2 tube. It had gotten incredibly hot and was still that way.

So somewhere between the drip mode 510 connection, the screw post and grounding spring, I am getting a short. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for taking the time to read my late night ramblings.

Sincerely,
D

I'm tired so no pictures. Just a mock up on MS Paint! Enjoy!:oops::facepalm:

you need to get rid of the spring. take it out and replace it with something else. u-tube has a few alternatives. I took out the little tube out of a cartomizer and used that. you know when its good because the resistance will be the same in dripper mode and genny mode. make a coil and check in dripper mode, you want the same resistance in genny mode. good luck
