Howdy ECF,
So I got my AGT in the mail yesterday and I'm having a heck of a time getting this thing set up well.

Current setup:
3/4" -ish hollow wick ~ 2mm (maybe a little smaller)

30ga kanthal 4/5 wrap metering at 1.12ohms

Fill screw in

50/50 pg/VG

I'm getting somewhat dry hits every few pulls. I realize that taking the fill screw out will probably help with wicking but I hesitate to do so for two reasons:

1.) Fill hole is about 90 degrees from the wick--I'm worried about leaking when I tilt.

2.) My PV lives in my pocket when I'm at work. I don't have a choice in the matter. Again, I'm worried about leaking.

Is anyone having any luck with setups where the fill screw is in?? If so, would you be so kind as to outline how you have your AGT set up? Any other pertinent advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

It's great to see you got it working. I left the screw out since the day I got it because I get more flavor from it. I'm currently using a hollow wick which seems to work a bit better for some reason. I used a blunt-tipped syringe needle for the size and 500 mesh.

I'm afraid that even with the fillscrew in it might still leak a little. Did you test it out yet?

Thanks xyanide! I've been running it for a few hours now. Nary a dry hit or a leak. I think the amount of space between the wick hole and the wick itself seems to be in the sweet spot that's large enough to allow the tank to breathe while being small enough to keep juice from leaking when I tilt.

I'm about to step out for a few hours so we'll see how leak-proof this setup is when it's rolling around in my pocket :p

Edit: been chain vaping it and the wick seems to be keeping up just fine :D

Rsst is too big for my 14500 mod :p

I like a wick-hole-filling solid wick in my AGA-T2, but I've not had any luck getting it to work in the AGT.

I actually prefer the look of the rsst over the AGA family of gennies--if there were a 16mm version I'd be all over it. Crossing my fingers that I made it onto the mini micro list in the meantime :p

My AGT is set up similar to yours genghis, except my solid wick is around 1.6mm and I leave the fill screw out. I can turn it upside down with a full tank (cap off) and no leaks (50pg/50vg) could be a surface tension thing due to the small wick/fill hole, I may have to try your set up next rebuild. The vapor and flavor are kickin' though!
