The company I work for won't even hire anyone that smokes. Crazy.
They do the same thing here they say it's to reduce the health care cost
Well mine is because the CEO is super anti smoking. But as you know I work with tons of hospitals and a lot screen for nicotine now. I always give people a heads up before we send them for a test. I stall it for 5 days.... well, because I can.
And I thought it was funny way back when I was a RN that patients would drag their IV poles out to smoke. Not now unless they want to go off property. Haha
Oh people vape in the hospital. Nurses, families, patients. Nobody says anything. Of course there's always at least one rule follower ....... We tell them just don't broadcast it and we won't say a word.
. My dad was recently in ICU for 6 weeks and my mother vaped the whole time. So did I when I flew there to visit. People just have to be smart about it and nothing is said.
I don't smoke anymore. I might sneak a vape in a restroom somewhere but there's so little nicotine in my stuff anymore that I can go without with no issue.
