Whats up everybody :)? Been lurking for a week or two. Just trying to read up, New to this whole E-Cigg. thing. Friendly bunch here (@least from I've seen so far). Cool, My kinda place..
Nice to meet yas.
Anyways.....Here's my situation. Placed my first order last week for a Vapor King Ultimate Ultimatum Shorty Kit from V4L,a Extra Batt., Carts, Some Nobacco 555 (4Mg), Wow Vanilla (0Mg).
Everything was good so I fig. I'd jump right in .
Did some more reading, Made what seemed like a somewhat educated guess as to Nic. level (18Mg), Pg-Vg Ratio (80/20 Pg/Vg), Etc
Placed orders from Gourmet Vapor, Backwoods Brew, Freedomsmoke usa, & another from V4L. More Batts., Carts, & juice, juice, juice . Awesome except  So far everything I've ordered with those specs is killin me!! Wow, just feels sooo dry. Feels like I just lit 4 Marlb. Reds (My Anolog)stuck one in each finger & smoked em all @ once. I dont mind the TH but... Just :-x, Blaah.... DRY.......Just on the exhale & Just on the Carts containing the above liq. ratios
So. My ?s are.
1. What the hell did I do wrong? I'm guessing its the Pg/Vg Ratio?
2. How can I alter my juices to... I don't know. Moisten em up I guess( I'm a couple, acouple $$$ in here first week so... HELP!!!!:p.
3. Is it a possibility that these might smooth out after sitting abit?
As far as fixing the juices. This is what I've got. USP VG, 30Mg Nic.,Distilled water, & Most of the juices are 2x Flavor so I dont mind cutting a little. ( Some of them could use it hahaha. I'm a Newb)

Yeah, Please help. Thanx in advance
Ohh, & Just to put it out there.. I think I might have a small Internet crush on a certain MistressNo.....ohh Nevermind :p. JP. Cool Chick tho, Thanx for the vids. Congrats on the Freedom smoke Position.
Thankx in advance
Chris

First off, everybody has a small internet crush on MistressNomad....she's just awesome. One of our favorites for sure. She is just a delight and so very helpful. Dryness: for one thing, you have to drink, drink, drink water. Way more than you're used to drinking, I'm guessing. Also....could be the mix...PG dries me out more than VG does, and you're weighted pretty heavily on the PG side. I'd suggest diluting your stuff with VG. I started out vaping 50/50, but have since moved to almost all 100% VG. I just like it better, and vapor is more important to me than throat hit, so works for me. If your present juices are affecting you that way, you may just want to add a little VG and not even worry about adding more nic juice to balance it out...your nic level may be too high, too. Try it with just added VG, then if the nic level is too low, you can do some fancy math and add a little nic juice if you need to. These things are notorious for drying you out, so everybody will tell you to drink more water. And water is good for you anyway.

yup, Sure am. The things I ordered & I didn't have a chance specify Pd/Vg) Feel fine, Maybe lacking alittle.. But overall, feel alright.
I haven't gottin in touch with them to see what the ratio of the juices I ordered were yet tho.
maybe I should.
And to anyone reading this. If it's just a matter of " Stop being a ***, Man up & Vape like a man than just say so lol. I
I can take it haha.

If you do try mixing in a little VG to your juice, do it in small batches, keep track of the ratio of
pre-mix to VG, and find what mix like. May take a little experimentation with more or less
VG to PG and / or possibly more or less nic strength.

If you are getting too strong a hit, be careful adding the 30mg juice, that's major strong stuff
to be vaping straight. Think, inhaling a good cigar!! :)

Wow! U guys are fast, Cool. Its not that it dries me out (i'm sure it would). The hit just feels really dry. I hear ya on the water thing tho. Waters good.
Alright, Just addind some VG was kinda what I fig. may help too. The VG's pretty thick, should I dilute that with the water? Does Viscosity play a role in " that dry taste".. Feeling?
Haha Yeah, I only bought the 30Mg for occasions like this, In case I had to dilute something then build it back up.

Ha. You're funny. It's not about "manning up"....it's about finding the ratio that works for you....both nic level and PG/VG ratios. And it really just takes experimentation. Everybody is different. Having said that, there is an adjustment period. Most of us had a little sore throat at first, I think. And it does seem to take a little getting used to. We've sorta come to the conclusion that the body does strange things when it's coming off of cigarettes, so it's hard to know what symptoms to attribute to getting off cigarettes and which to attribute to the vaping. Keep with it....your body will adjust when you get the right juice, the right nic level, the right PG/VG ratio. You are probably vaping, vaping, vaping.....I did at first. Maybe give it a little rest every now and then. lol

Chris - a great post. We are just glad that you finally stopped lurking around, and decided to join us. We saw you lurking, and might have said something to you, but we didn't want to interrupt you while you were intently watching the MistressNomad videos. Most of us guys here have a crush on her, so you are not alone. Anyway, Welcome to ECF.

No see, I can pop in a different cart & not have that dry feeling. I guess I should have been more descriptive. It just feels dry on the exhale with the new juices that are 18Mg. 80/20 PG-VG. If I pop on a different cart (One that wasn't ordered to those specs. Pre mixed too whatever???) It doesn't have the same feel.
Maybe that doesn't help lol.
I guess I'll have to see if I can find out what the ratio was on the pre mixed carts & then try that mix. If that doesn't help than I guess I'll know that it must be the increase in Nic. Mg.
Thank you tho:D

Ohh Boy,Now I'm really confusing ya. Haha Sorry. No It's all been Pre mixed from the distributor so far.
Some of it I was able to specify what PG/VG mix I wanted, Which is the juice I'm having issues with.
The stuff that feels alright (My origonal order) I was only able to choose what Nic. content,%. I wanted (The Pg/Vg was pre determined) I chose a lower %. It was my first order so I went waaaay low, Between 0-8 Mg. As apposed to the newer orders ( The 80/20 PG/VG) orders which I bumped too 18Mg.
Hmmmm. Why do I feel like this little post isnt helping me explain myself???
Sorry,LOL . It's gettin late here .I don't think the Heinekens are helping much either haha.

Pardon me, I speak buzzed. Maybe I can help? ;)

I'm guessing what you're feeling is the kind of "ticklish" feeling I sometimes feel when I vape a nicotine that's a bit too high. It's a distinct feeling, and maybe a guy would say "dry" where I say "ticklish." Try backing down on the nicotine again.

I've recently discovered an interesting trick. I have a bunch of zero nic juice but was finding myself a bit, uh, prickly vaping zero only - so I kept vaping it but grabbed a piece of nicotine gum I had from my last quit-attempt. Worked like a charm.

I've found that letting off the button on my battery after about 2 seconds on a 4 second draw tends to give me cooler vapor and a better taste on some of my juices. The hotter the vape, the more I feel it as dry and harsh on my throat. If you have an automatic you might try a shorter puff and see if you still get enough flavor. One thing you should definitely think about is setting yourself up to drip. It's a pita to drip three drops, vape seven or eight puffs then repeat, but you get excellent flavor with a minimum of the dry-harshness.

I had the same prob with my initial order; they only offered menthol in PG formulations, and I've worked around
fog machines for several years, entertaining onstage. PG (albeit a more refined grade than the industrial used
in the machines) leaves me with that same dry throat hit, and an almost perfume-y aftertaste. I ordered some VG
juice from another supplier. It pretty well took care of the dryness, but I found that particular company's menthol juice
to be cloyingly sweet and it just REEKS of vanilla. So now I'm awaiting another company's attempt at VG menthol, and with
any luck it'll be closer to regular menthol than a third-grader's Christmas Cookie...A lot of companies are beginning to realize
that a lot of potential customers don't care for the dry/aftertaste effects of PG, and are starting to add VG lines after the
first of the year. Keep your eyes open, and good luck! ;o]
