Need Advice for Cartz and Throat Hit.

Ok,

I have researched and posting in other threads and get mixed results. I hope I get the right answers.

First off I have (2) Volt Kits from SI and I use their 24mg carts.

Issue - With the 24mg carts I get that peppery throat hit that is driving me crazy. These are the carts from SI, specifically Watermelon and Vanilla 24mg's.

In an effort to reduce the peppery throat hit, I was advised to lower the Nic level and try a 80/20 pg/vg blend. So I order 80/20 pg/vg juice at 12mg's. Should be here next week.

Questions
Will a higher VG content reduce the peppery throat hit? Or is it based soley on nic content?
How much of a VG ratio can I put in a cart 70/30 pg/vg? 50/50? These are stock blank carts from SI.
I heard others that use high nic 18+ carts without the peppery throat hit, anyone else encounter this? Or is the peppery TH just common for high nic carts/juice?
If my only option is 100 VG, do I have to get atty's and a drip tip for my Volt Kit? Any suggestions? I need to stick with the KR-808 batts. What are my options?

Nicotine = peppery TH

PG lets it through the best (as well as flavor)
VG dulls/smooths what PG lets through
Heat enhances nicotine's TH

A lot of people can't vape 24mg on a KR808D-1 (real 3.7v slim mini with cartos around 2.5 ohm)

Try 18mg - you won't have a nic fit. It will be more comfortable and you can take a bigger and/or extra drags.

Cartos -
Vapor4Life WOW cartos - hottest (their Coolcarts are a bit cooler), less vapory drag (tighter stuffing)
Bloogplanet (same as SI?) - less hot due to coil position but bigger more vapory hit, uses juice faster
Boge 3ohm not very warm (the 2.7ohm may be ones worth trying for you)

I won't use more than 20% in simple stuffing cartos - I can feel more degrade the drag. But the stuffing of the Bloog/SI cartos may be loose enough to use higher VG. I like getting 7 days use out of a carto and stick with juices that will give me that.

Thanks Dormouse. I was actually going to PM you before I posted based on your vast knowledge and past posts in the forum with excellent answers. I dropped down to 12mg's for juice, I may order a (5) pack of 18mg's just to test if the 12mg's seem to not qwell the nic fits. I dont mind vaping a little more or maybe using 18mg's when I'm at the bar. I'm hoping this works. Thanks for your advice!!!!
