If you read my recent posts/threads, you know that I recently upgraded from my eGo style batteries to an innokin itazte vv v3. I loved it, and I guess I got a little /too/ comfy with it. I dropped it in a footbath tonight while giving myself a pedicure (to save a few more $ for vaping). Anyway, it was firing like mad when I put a tank on it, and others in a vaping group I'm a member of on Facebook said it should b fine tomorrow after drying out. I had hope, but it's not doing anything at all now. Have any of you been clumsy too, and if so did it work after what mine has been through? I hate to think I should bite the bullet n cut my losses cuz I just finally pulled the trigger and got if cuz I had some extra holiday $. But I don't wanna have high hopes for nothing either.
Back to ymy fallback eGo types I guessh. Gosh, this is gonna b tough now that I've had a taste. :/

Don't do anything with it for 24 hours. Put it in a container with rice.
I second this...if you can do the triple click power off do it

Then get a tupperware bucket, fill it with dry rice, drop in the VV V3, close the lid, set it up somewhere for at least 24 hrs and let the rice absorb the moisture

Sorry for your mishap...if power wasn't applied and it got wet it might be salvageable

And don't kick yourself...stuff happens

Good luck

Sorry to hear about this, the most damage I've done to my ego batteries was drop in snow or a beer was spilt on it. I second the rice notion. Good luck and if you twenty bought it within 30 days, hopefully where you got it can do a return/exchange. My local shop does exchanges for broken product and it's definitely nice

I would put it in a bowl of dry rice, uncovered. I would also add if you have an oven with a pilot light that stays on, then stick the bowl in there without turning the oven on as the temp in there will be about 25-30 degrees higher and every little thing helps. Alternately, set the bowl in front of or under a fan that will move air around. the fast you can remove the water the better you are. I have also heard of someone taking an electronic device that got a bath and sticking it in rubbing alcohol, as alcohol will displace the water and then evaporate much faster.

Also don't "try" it to see if it works. Most of the electronics "blow" when there is a bit of water in it and you try it to see. Patience is the key. I usually do 24 hours uncovered in rice.. 24 hours over the register (the fan setting this allow the air to circulate through and slowly get rid of the water.

My daughter dropped her iphone in our pool (no case). It is a saline pool as well. Luckily I was there. Got the phone took the battery out and rinsed the phone lightly in distilled water. I didn't use the rice but put the phone and battery over the register for three days and periodically took a hairdryer on cool setting to both for around 10 minutes. Did that for 3 days. Works fine.

The worst past? Teenage daughter without her crappy iphone for 3 days.

Then I bought her a lifeproof case.

dropped my vamo v3 in bathtub but grabbed it fairly quickly. I know it's too late now but may save you in the future. The best thing you can do is get the battery out of there as soon as possible. That includes phones, etc. Quicker battery is out less likely to fry any electrical circuitry. vamo still works after sitting in rice for 2 days I decided it was time to try it.

And I'd vote down on whoever said do the 3-5 click to power it off...just pull the battery as quick as possible. If you do any clicks you risk frying some of the circuitry.
