Now that's all TA (actually TE, but basically the same thing). You remember how I was saying that SC and tobacco Haze could be in similar categories? Add Vermillion River's Kentucky Premium Blend. Don't know why I never thought of it before, but it's pretty close to T.Haze without the clear usage of TA. Yep, M&P got ash on lockdown.

RC, I couldn't handle RYO and I wanted some ash in my life to go with NETs, but it was too much. I may try it again to see. Sometimes we think we know and will say so, but there's always that possibility of "getting it" later. It will still be ash, but it may just be doable.

Well I'm glad to see you group tobacco haze and kpb together.. I think the same thing and love them both.

What I'm struggling with tho.. is that these are both ta liquids. I thought I hated ta. Is ta the same thing responsible for making the aros taste like...well you know.

We can talk about it on the other thread.. I just didn't know how to get the ball rolling?

2. havent had the usual feedback email from wlad with the coupon

have any of you heard from wlad about these things? are they just not offering discounts or coupons now?

Ok, I can't take it..I just wanna say I'm totally addicted to Mango Lassi..this stuff is so good that I can't stop vaping it and not sure if I will have any left for my friend to try tomorrow. This is my 2nd juice I tried from Ahl and I'm already hooked.

I will admit, at first, I wasn't sure. It didn't have as a sweet taste I expected but then after I continued to vape it, I could appreciate the fact the mango flavor tasted like the REAL fruit versus some fake flavor. It's VERY yummy!

I wouldn't say one is superior to the other as that's a matter of personal preference, but they are every bit as different as a candy flavored vape and an authentic fruit flavored vape; and they both offer something the other can't (until you muddy the waters with NET/arti-bacco hybrids).

I will say it! Muahahahahahaha!!! Ahlusion NETs are better than any Halo artibacco.

Umm, count me as lost, but what does the ultrasonic cleaner do? Just curious as to what the purpose of this is.

A lot of vapers use it for steeping, but it's handy for other purposes as well. They're great for cleaning RDAs. If you happen to wear eyeglasses or sunglasses, they're brilliant for cleaning those too.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. My Mango Lassi has been steeping for about 5-6 weeks and I finally put it in a tank last night. Half a tank later and I can't get enough.

Sure.

But, Tobacco Haze and KPB (though KPB is not an absolute unless Vermillion is conflating hydrosols with absolutes). KPB and T. Haze are very minimal with extracts and heavily flavored with "other" stuff. For you to really get it, you would have to try a liquid like RYO or Bud's Blend (from M&P) or Straight-up from Moondrop where there's not added flavoring, or very little, to mask the notes. Heavy handed absolute in those.

I sincerely believe that the whole notion of ash is what you all are getting from the aros, but then again, it ain't the same "ash" vapers have been talking about since vaping's inception. Tobacco Absolute is embedded in vaping and that's the ash that was oft mentioned in the forum; it died off (but not totally dead) as the go-to ingredient for tobacco liquids from more modern vendors over the past 2 years or so. When you do a search for "ash," "ashy," or "ashtray" on the forum, you'll get many hits dating back very far. Most of those posts were in relation to DIY absolute or a vendor using PA's absolute (the same thing); Ahlusion don't mess with the stuff.

Once again, if you all taste it in the aros, so be it. But "ash" is, as I mentioned in the PM, inextricably linked to TA--TA has a patent on ash. LOL

Interestingly, I wrote up that thread (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vermillion-river-e-juice/371830-lets-set-record-straight.html) in the Vermillion sub-forum because I had been convinced that they used TA. TA is only TA if it comes from a concrete that was made through a solvent extraction (some people call a steam distilled hydrosol extract an absolute but are misinformed--I won't mention all those vendors). A steam distilled tobacco (Darth Vapers and Vermillion) can taste and act like an absolute a bit, but it isn't one (Ahlusion has employed the usage of steam distilled tobaccos in some non-aros, but not in the aros--those are CO2 extracted, but some of the non-aros are also CO2 extracted). So it's mainly technicalities (between steam distilled and true absolutes), but legitimate distinctions nonetheless.

Some of my research/epiphanies and corrections about tobacco absolute:

Tobacco Absolute -- What I Have Learned.[Post]

What a difference perception makes! [Post]

As it turns out, that last link is from January of this year when I talked about the similarities between KPB and T. Haze. That was when I first decided that because of the similarities, Vermillion was using an absolute; then I learned about hydrosols, i.e, stem distilled extracts.

One more interesting thing: the terms ashy/ash/ashtray have rarely been used in the NT thread unless we're talking about TA (and that thread is 18,0000+ strong). The aromatics have been talked about in there repeatedly since early/mid last year and, if I am not mistaken, were never described as such by us NET vapers. I only say that to draw a distinction between us that vape NETs all the time and everyone else. So I think there is a huge difference for those of us that vape majority of NETs with how we taste. There's been some talk of ash in some NETs, but those have either been hybrids, the rare NET (and sometimes not so rare) or from a passersby. The very first mention of "ashtray" was from the OP (maybe the most versed in NETs and tobacco IRL) and his post was about 10 Forty Tobacco from Mom & Pop. He said he didn't really get it, but on M&P's site here's how they describe it:

"Many juices claim they capture a true tobacco flavor, this one does. Not sweet, a little dry with just enough ashtray to satisfy. This juice doesn't overpower, it ploughs {sic} you through a 'bacco craving. ..." M&P

That's a tobacco absolute liquid. Many old school vendors will actually market the tobacco absolute liquid as "ash" (likely just a way of covering their butts and "priming" the customer for the coming sensation).

Sorry for the long winded-ness of this post, but I have been deep in extractions for a while now. Back to Ahlusion.

I'd love to hear about Peppermint Bark from anyone who tries it.

I had it in my cart yesterday but had to remove it to stay in budget. Also because I definitely prefer the Tiramisu sweetened vs non, I'm wondering if I should do the same when I try Peppermint Bark too since I definitely like the sweeten option for the chocolate vapes as it tends to kick up the chocolate flavor a bit for me.

Well, my conservative juice ordering style prevailed and I chickened out on ordering big bottles of the two I haven't tried. So order placed for 30ml of Smooth Criminal at 30vg, 10ml Boba Tea 50vg, and sample requested of Desperado at 30vg.

I was this || close to requesting my Smooth Crim made to Mann specs, but wasn't quite sure the changes made so left it at original recipe.

What's a good aging time for Maple Wild Wood and Sahara Blend?
Just received them both in the mail today!

Ok this you will hear some different opinion's
And also where dripping really helped me with certain Ahlsuion flavs
In being able to drip a little put it away and try it again a few days to a week later and again

some say both are great out of the mail
I first tried maple wildwood 2 week after getting it felt the tobacco started to come out more after a month and a little more at 6 weeks
however it was not a monumental difference then 2 weeks but I preferred it that way

Sahara I did not try till a month out found it sweet not dry and not enough tobacco flav but then I loved it a few weeks later
not that it changed all that much the flav itself was kind of close but just felt more tobacco (if that makes sense)
However I hear it really hits that drier note out of the mail and will try it then next time

I got the xpress maple wildwood today and tried it out of the mail since I think it's pre-steeped, right? It needs more tobacco flavor to me, so I'm not sure if it still needs steeping time or if it's just the juice.

Blue Fairy, on the other hand, was perfect. Throw in some sugar cookie and a little cinnamon and it would taste just like a biscochito!

Ive seen many posts describing xpress line as a 2 week head start on steeping
and for many of their liquids that's perfect
