I just tried the Tiramisu for the first time, and I had the same reaction. Great smell, odd flavor. Surprisingly not sweet at all.
IMO Tiramisu is one that you need to have with extra sweetener to get the full experience. I don't feel that the chocolate really pops enough until Wlad adds that extra bit of sweetness to it.

50/50 blend is best and helps it to hold onto the creamy notes longer (in a 30/70 VG/PG blend, the choc & coffee overpowered the cream after about 4-6 weeks). But IMO it was the addition of sweetener that really made the Tiruamisu work for me (by making the chocolate POP) and taste like a true Tiramisu should.

If you have any sweetener handy--I like to use a liquid stevia which contains only stevia, VG, water--then you can test the theory yourself and see if it helps. (Like I stated b4 tho, and this was right from his mouth, Wlad's way of "adding sweetener" is usually a little more involved than just adding straight up sweetener to a joose but it should at least get you in that direction.)

PS pls forgive me if I'm babbling or being overly loquacious. I'm on pain meds from breast surgery earlier and having to "stay on top of the pain" has made me a little loopy! I had to revise the above a few times b4 I could read it back and have it make sense even to me.

I love the Mango Lassi. I got Papaya Lassi a few weeks ago as a sample and I think I might love it even a little more than the Mango!

I'm scared....I'm am SUPER addicted to this stuff. It keeps getting better as it just sits in my tank. It has turned into a ADV for me already. I will order more of this and the Papaya. This stuff is AMAZEBALLS!

WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO TRY AHLUSION????

gotta add a third thumbs up :thumb: on the Sweet Cherry Something... it's definitely a nice REAL cherry flavor, nothing artificial to it at all.

I've already given my feedback on that one and because it's so good--and I'm a big fan of cherry when done right, was not afraid to ask for a little extra cherry flavor next time around too. Wlad said by default they keep the cherry reigned in a bit to make it more palatable to the majority of vapors... my sister was surprised she actually liked it too when she tasted mine (regular recipe) because she usually doesn't like cherry flavoring either.

that said, I've yet to re-order my profiled version... it was on the list for this most recent order placed monday, but had to be cut out for now due to to things being a bit tight this month... I've still got some from my 10ml, but have been babying (drip only, no tanks) that to make it last till I know I have more on the way. :)

I ordered Tiramisu and Peppermint Bark yesterday along with a few others.... now CheriePie has me worried that the Tiramisu and Bark won't be as good without sweetener (which I did not add). I just sent them an email but I'm well outside my 30 minute modification window per the website but hopefully since I haven't gotten the "in process" email yet they might be able to do something. If they aren't able to change my order does anyone have a way to make sweetener at home?

Most of A+ flavors I have tried have not needed sweetener, but I can't speak for the Tiramisu as I have not tried that one yet. It really depends on how sweet you like your flavors, but also, some liquids just need it, so I would go with what other Tiramisu buyers say. There are available sweeteners you can purchase in the DIY area of many vendor websites. You can get either liquid or powder form. If you have a set of vendors you normally purchase from, if they have a DIY section, check that out and see what they have.

I have also heard of people using stevia at home. I will check how much per ml/10 mls and get back to you.

Try browsing this thread for the amt to use, but also what sweeteners are available and how others rate them:

I was about to chime in with a full agreement about Ahlusion's Tiramisu. I had been trying it at various stages of steeping, and it stubbornly remained the one and only Ahlusion juice I did not like. It never tasted odd to me, just virtually no flavor compared to a really nice smell. Well I figured I'd better give it one last shot before commenting again and, finally, after 2 1/2 months, it actually tastes quite nice. The flavors have come forward. None of them are particularly dominant, but it's a pleasant, albeit subtle, blend of the flavors you find in the dessert.

So, I can finally say I never met an Ahlusion juice I didn't like, and I've tried 17 of them.

This is encouraging. I'll keep it around and try it again sometime around New Year's Day. :p

Waiting for my friend to come over and took some quick tastes of my Ahl juices...they need to steep longer. CRAP! And wish I got more fruit/dessert flavors!!!!! Normally stay away from them because they always taste fake/gross....but Ahl knows how to do it.

I wonder if I can pretend I spilled all of my Mango Lassi since I'm a pig & want it all to myself...

Last night, I was driving with my Poldiac between my legs, with Smooth Criminal in a Squape, and I somehow managed to press the button for an extended period. This burned the wick. There are few things more depressing than having your beloved and trusty SC tasting like @#$@! I tried to just vape it for a while to clear the nasty taste, but to no avail. I replaced the wick, dry burned the coil, and brushed it off real well, but when I put it all back together it still tasted bad. Had to drain the Squape, disassemble it, rinse it, along with the new wick, reassemble and refill it. That did the trick. SC tastes fantastic again.

It's the 2nd time I've burned a wick by having a mech fire inadvertently for too long. Last time it was the Chi You in my pocket, just briefly. If it were going to be an extended period, I would have locked it. Guess this is all just a word of caution for you guys.

Well I've loaded the Honey Cured in an EVOD..just out of the mailbox and I like it;) It's a nice change from the sweeter juices I like. I need to get the Cocoa Blend loaded up tonight. I tried dripping it a little, but I just don't know how to do it right ..always end up with more juice in my mouth than vapor with dripping:laugh:

Speedracer...I always try the juices when I receive them...if I don't care for them tuck them away and try again later. Taste is so subjective.

Root - my understanding is the Xrpess are pre-steeped, but not sure of how long.

Raspberry Cream - oh yeah...but I'd better wait a couple of days before I order again or hubby may not be happy:)

OK, how long do you allow your Allusion juices to steep or the new term now age?

That's a hard question to answer, speedracer, but I will take a stab at it.

I personally find all of their juices benefit from steeping, except the aromatic tobaccos, which I hear are grand right out of the mailbox. The fruit flavors develop layers and complexity and meld together over several weeks - same with the desserts and drink varieties, I think ( I will let someone else answer these steep times as I have not tried many). Non-aromatic tobaccos are tricky. Some can be decent to delicious right out of the mailbox, but they change over time to mellow and bring forth the intended tobacco variety flavor. For example, Smooth Criminal is more of a sweet, borderline dessert vape at first/fresh, but after a few weeks, it changes dramatically with the tobacco background coming forward and the sweetness tapering off. Some steep it up to 8 weeks for optimum taste. Sahara Blend is one that also changes over time, so a decent few weeks while sampling all along will give you an idea of how it transforms over time. You may like it at week 2 while someone else may like it fresh or even at week 4. Teas, from what I have tried, are similar to the non-aromatic tobaccos with steeping. They will balance with the paired flavors over time and also develop the intended tea experience inherent in a juice.

In general, all of their flavors balance out, meld together, and deepen over time.

Thanks Iowa Gal. I do know the express liquids are all a 50/50 mix and more then likely steeped for a few days.
