Damn, this really sucks for me. Ahlusion's my favorite vendor, but this may really limit how much I order from them if it's going to be a big hassle.

The hassle being that FedEx can't get into my secured building. That's how it is with UPS, and the shipments I got from them have been that I eventually find a notice of failed delivery sticking to the door (most of which end up disappearing fairly quick if the person doesn't get to it quick). Call them up and tell them to hold the package. Then I take a bus (I don't have a car) since it's several miles away, which the closest bus stop gets me within a couple miles of the UPS location so I have to walk that, pick it up which takes from 1 to 30 minutes depending on the line, walk back to the bus stop which has a bus once an hour, and pay for another ticket to get back home.

So yeah, a several hour affair that costs two bus tokens. If FedEx is as much a hassle as UPS... yep, I love Ahlusion, but won't be ordering nearly as much if at all.

Maybe you could change your shipping address to work?

Just so you guys know, Michigan did get hit with a major snow storm on Sunday & then the deep freeze, which has left all the roads, including the highways completely covered in ice. (Trust me, I know because I couldn't drive over 30 mph to work today on a major hwy because it was pure ice...this is the first day I even attempted to go this week.)

Nothing is moving quickly in this state & they got even more snow up by Ahlusion than I got here, which was 10"! Even FedEx's site says there is delays & it is affecting USPS also, because something I should have received from them today is delayed.

I understand people being upset, but please consider these things too. :)

Do you mean 10 FEET of snow, or inches? I can not sympathise with 10 inches of snow, but 10 feet, maybe. This is the Midwest.. we get snow here. And life still goes on. Unless you work at FedEx apparently, lol.

LOLOLOL, sorry SharonMM, this is rocking your world. It's going to be ok, though. ;)

Lol, This IS rocking my world and I'll tell you why:

Because FedEx is getting paid MORE to do a LESS good of a job.

Because I'm forced to deal with this nonsense, when I didn't pick it. I've been 99% happy with USPS and I wish I had the option to continue to use them.. but I don't.

I suppose I could just stop ordering from Ahlusion all together.. but that doesn't seem like a feasible solution for me either. They're my favorite vendor. They make my favorite juices. I can't get anything even remotely close from elsewhere.

So alas, I am stuck with it. But I don't have to like it.

SharronMM, it's not so much the 10" of fresh snow, on top of the 10" we just got a couple of days before that......as it is the ice. Picture below is of a lighthouse here in Michigan to give you an idea of just how cold it is here. (Plus it's just an awesome pic :D)

Did you still get your mail though? :D

I'm in the same situation as some of you here. I've got two orders out there somewhere, one from the December 27th and one from January 2nd. Even though I chose USPS delivery, they got changed to FedEx. Supposedly they shipped on the 4th. I just checked tracking on one of them, and it's still in Saginaw, Michigan. I'm only one state away. If they had sent them out USPS, I would have had them by now. Never had a problem with USPS. Luckily, I'm not desperate for juice.

Mine went through Saginaw too, which is strange. Saginaw is thirty miles north of Flint (where Ahlusion is), and I'm fifty miles south of Flint. I wonder if the airport in Flint was closed after the seventeen-inch snowfall and -20F temps that followed. Normally, I'd think stuff between Flint and the Ann Arbor/Detroit area would go by truck anyway. Weird.

I'm not speaking on shipping anymore, but I'll say this. It's apparent Ahlusion has changed their shipping provider. I've never thought to ask an online retailer to ship to me using a different provider than the one the retailer has chosen. Nor would I. Especially one that is paying the bulk of the shipping costs. It matters not to me who ships it, just that it gets to me in a reasonable amount of time and undamaged. It's not that serious.

Sharon's from Minnesota. She knows about ice and low temps.

P.S. I love those ice pics.

I can almost guarantee you nothing moved in this state Sunday or Monday. The vet hasn't even gotten their shipment of supplies & dog food yet, that was suppose to be here Monday. My county had an advisory that they did not want anyone even on the roads until today, because too many people were getting in accidents or getting stranded.

Listen, I prefer USPS too, but Ahlusion is only going to ship FedEx, so it has to be a personal choice to accept & deal with it or go elsewhere. I'm not trying to argue with anyone either, just trying to tell you all how bad it's been here. Sorry for any disruption I may have caused.....

Nope, sadly not an option for me. I'll get something figured out, but still hope Ahlusion might change their mind and be flexible with shipping. I checked for FedEx locations here in Fargo, they only have one and of course it's many miles from my place. Though it does look to be on a bus route so that helps.

I miss having a car. Don't drink and drive kids.... and don't become an alcoholic who loses everything and becomes homeless. Sure, it's a glamourous and sexy lifestyle, but there's negatives too.

Jerms, I would gladly ship to you if you ever need me to, ok? Just give me a holler if you need something like that down the road.

You're ok, we're all making valid points. The problem with accepting it or go elsewhere is hard though, because many of us consider going elsewhere to barely be an option after knowing how great Ahl juices are, so we kind of have to accept things we normally wouldn't accept with other vendors. I honestly wouldn't be willing to pick up my order from a FedEx location from any other vendor, but willing to go further for Ahl juices, even if I don't like it.

So that leaves the option of dealing with it and .....ing about it until I get it out of my sysetm, which I've chosen. Isn't .....ing one of the stages of acceptance?

Thanks! That's nice to offer, but someone already offered through PM. Just need to see how things go. I'm home a lot, would be nice if FedEx could call me and I could go to the door to pick up a package.
