I'm done harping on the FedEx thing now.. my conclusion here, is that making the switch was a big mistake and I don't like it!
It's just so disheartening to me because there have been so many positive changes in just the last few months at Ahlusion... The new website being open for us 24/7... no more setting the alarm early to get an order in. Also seems like they've beefed up their production staff and turnaround times are faster than ever... Even during the sales, where I'm sure they were inundated with orders. Even then, I personally never waited longer than 48hrs for my order to be completed. Then the SALES, omg the sales! I can only hope these surprise flash sales are indicative of things to come. If there's anything in the world that'll get me to spend money.. it is being made to feel like I'm saving money.
And then there's... FedEx. So all of the effort they put into faster production will now be offset by longer times in transit.. and the fact that it costs more (though only slightly) only adds insult to injury. If their reasoning for switching was based on "too many lost packages" as Alley has stated, I think they will be headed for a rude awakening. FedEx loses packages too.
I tend to believe its probably more due them trying to stay ahead of the curve of the impending regs... And perhaps it is true that someday, shipping these items via USPS will not be a possibility. But for the time being, it still is. So why not enjoy it while it lasts? Since they're faster and cheaper and so much more CONVENIENT for so many of us customers.
That's the thing... Most of the customers are either 1. Indifferent about the shipping method or 2. Prefer USPS. Very few people, at least on here, have spoken out and said they are happy about this change. And that's what I don't understand.. Wlad and Alley seem like truly concerned about making their customers happy. I don't think they realized the types of inconveniences that making this switch would cause for some of us.
I might be sortof a brat that just wants my crap faster.. but what about Jerms, who might have to catch the bus in freezing temps, or MVD, who either runs the risk of getting his package swiped at the door, or having to travel to a bad part of town where his hub is located. And I'm sure there's many others out there who have equally challenging situations. The way I see it, there's an easy way overcome all of these challenges... its called, a mailbox.
And that's it. I'm done talking about it now.
