I was recently recounting my experience in a new, local vape shop in small town, TN. A college age kid was behind the counter with a like buddy visiting. I am an old lady. They were sporting magnetos with nimbus RBAs. The kid bragged his was .34ohm build. The shop was empty except for a handful of egos and Innokin products behind glass. Being sold for 2.5 to 3x online prices.

So kid brags how all high school kids are buying up everything. I say, what about over 18??? Response: no law that we have to limit sales to under 18; we can sell nic to under 18 if we want.

Of course my blood is boiling. Are kids bragging to an old lady or is this their business model. How involved do I want to get? I will talk to store owner and then decide. Greed is rampant. Some kid is going to get his face blown off.

/end rant

That is truly a shame. If only someone smacked the cigarette out of my hand when I was 14 and if I wasn't trying so hard to be a badass in a jean jacket, I wouldn't be spending money on this addiction today at 36.

Just last week I sold an ego starter kit with juice on Craigslist, and I got no less than 4 inquiries to buy from 16 and 17 yr olds. I obviously refused to sell to them, and found someone in their 30's to sell it to -= but still! I was shocked, but I guess I shouldn't be...two of them didn't even know it was illegal for them to buy it. Now I know they can easily get cigarettes, drugs (hell, weed's legal here now for those of age), but I just couldn't in good conscience contribute to that.

There is a three-month hurdle to get over. The cravings can show up right at this point for some reason. It was like this for me too. Hang in there, it will pass! I hope you can get some express MT in the meantime!

3 month hurdle? Never heard that before but apparently it's something that smacks you in the head, whether you've heard of it or not! Hope it doesn't last too long

Do not know how to make this short and sweet. But, I trust Ahlusion. I am sensitive to cinnamon, their Smooth Criminal I tasted a spice I thought might be cinnamon, Wlad said no. I wait 6 weeks. Yup, the spicy taste has receded and no taste of cinnamon and no reaction that I get from cinnamon. Whatever spice it is, I trust Ahlusion to steer me right.

I can not say that for all others. The longer I am here on ECF the more I treasure Ahlusion. I know I am dealing with a quality vendor that I can trust with my allergy limitations. If they say it is not in their juice, it is not there be it cinnamon or diacetyl.

I just went to the Nicoticket subforum and it looks like they are still there to me-posts as recently as 10-15 minutes ago. They are under Forum suppliers now. Unless my computer is behind. When they first started I read their thread every day. Then I got behind last fall when I became a grandma, so I gave up. It's easier to keep up with the Ahlusion thread and much less chit chat. I don't mind a little chit chat, but pages and pages of what did you think of the football game last night drive me nuts on a vape forum!

Thank you Jingles. See, this is why I hate to repeat something I am told. It may not be true. I can not track down all. I am just going to try to keep my mouth shut. I hate to pass inaccurate info, period.

Do not know facts but lots of speculation. So all I can say is that there is politics involved according to some. I do not frequent thread enough to know. Someone will be able to enlighten you that does know. From what I hear this is not the only instance. What worries me is talk that PMs are read and monitored. Open thread talk is fair game.

Oh yes, and PM's are edited...

How so? As far as I know people receive a PM from me as soon as I send it, how could it be edited?

I would like to find out if mods can read PMs. I've been under the assumptions that PMs are private unless someone posts a PM from me on the forum (which is against the rules). I highly doubt they do read PMs, but if it's true I'd like to know.

Respectfully and with much admiration :) I find your statement most surprising. This forum runs a script called VBulletin and for over 7 years I owned and managed a very busy Forum using this very same script. Not a chance in heaven or hell. I was asked numerous times and the answer was always the same, a respectful NO.

Just saying

:)

I sent a PM to a buddy, and was relating a funny personal story with a quote from my 92 year mom. Her quote contained a four letter word that would not have written in open forum, even though it not a very bad word. When my buddy received the message, it had been replaced with ". . . ."

I am started to feel like maybe I was sucked up into something that was speculation and chatter and I should know better than to trust anything said by anyone on the computer. I hate dirty little games, especially if I am the one being made a fool of by thinking I can trust something said by someone I am familiar with. I had always believed here on ECF that PMs here were just that: private messages. I am sure that there is someone (admin) who has access, but that is to be expected. There is more, but you will not hear it from me. I think another publicity cheap shot and I do not want to play.

I think I was punked. I think that is the term for it? I am not sure. Not up on the latest lingo. I feel like a fool. Should know better. I have been out of high school for many decades.

That's just the same censuring software that automatically replaces expetitives with a ..., even when you see that in a post it hasn't been edited, it's automatic like it; .... Van .....

Not sure what situation you're referring to, I doubt anyone's trying to trick you. Misinformation gets spread easily and often unintentionally in person and on the internet, it just spreads easier on the internet. I've certainly made claims that later turned out to be false. I try not to, but it happens.

Those are two separate things. I also ran a vb forum for a number of years. I had set it up to filter out certain words, i.e. someone would try to say s... and it would auto replace it with poop - which led to a lot of fun posts, actually

2nd, yes it is possible with vb for admins to read pms. it's not part of the official package, but I when I was looking for mods on an unofficial site for a few things that I wanted to do (like IP tracking to prevent those booted from getting another acct), I saw many for admin add-on pkgs that allow the reading of all pms. I would doubt they do that here, I assume they have better things to do with their time, but it certainly is possible.

On another note, after all the hoopla with the colorings in liquid today, what do we think is in the Ahlusion shamrock that was just released? :p

EXACTLY! :)

It's global in nature. Posts and PMs. Period.! It's called a profanity filter and can be tweaked by the Senior admins and only them so they could add a any word/term or any language if they so desire. After that it's automatic, NO ONE is reading your PMs. Have you any idea the number of hours and number of Mods that would entail? HUGE HUGE and it's not going to happen assuming that vB even had the feature which IMHO it does not and never has had.

I get that, but what I don't understand is why sometimes you see the same four letter word replaced with .... And the later in the same thread the same word is just deleted. If I always saw the same .... I would recognize it as the auto filter.

I not trying to create an international incident, just trying to understand why the filters seem to change.
