My sample of Lemon Vanilla Cake is now 15 days steeped and it's the bees knees! :bubba:

I forgot to ask for this one!! I know it's going to be a favorite. I can't wait for it to be added to the menu.

Lemon V. C.? How can I get that?

We have received some by asking in the small comments box for a Free Sample. I am anxious when they post it in the Main Menu as a regular staple.
Does anyone have an idea when this update to the Main Menu will occur?

Got my big bottle of Strawberry Banana Cream and my sample of Lemon Cream Cake. Any thoughts on Steep time for LC Cake?

I'm dying to hear more about that Lemon Vanilla Cake! I hopefully have some coming Monday (or so).

My Lemon Vanilla Cake is now one month steeped. It is amazing. I couldn't stop vaping it yesterday. ... I like it better than Lemon Cream because the lemon seems more prominent or somehow gives me the lemony satisfaction I'm searching for in a lemon vape.

Okay, I thought y'all mentioned Lemon Vanilla Cake before so what is it called?

I asked for a sample of LVC on my last order and nixed the glass stopper for my 30 ml juice and they didn't comply with either. Maybe just missed the note, so I hope they are that busy.

Yes, Lemon Vanilla Cake.

Sorry you didn't get your LVC. I think you have to use the "feedback" tab on the website to request the sample first. They will email you back with instructions on what to do, and a ticket number for reference.

You've really gotta try this LVC TexasVet, I have a feeling you're going to love it. Don't give up!

Sorry you did not get the Lemon Vanilla Cake Sample - I wish they would put it on the Website for ordering. Who has pull with Wlad to whisper a strong suggestion?

But hey, welcome to the Vanilla Vanguard :)

Just went back and looked in my steeping box for what I thought was my Lemon Cream Cake and was heartbroken to see that it was really only Lemon Cream. Guess they are not parting with the cake? Or maybe only for important peeps?

Ask for the Lemon Vanilla Cake as a Free Sample in the comments box.

I find it Very Unlikely that Ahlusion is reserving it for important peeps. I asked for the Lemon or Strawberry and received the Lemon.

I asked for Lemon Vanilla Cake as a sample and did not get it either. I am really, really bummed. Since I know they've done it for others I would've at least appreciated a "sorry Jenna couldn't do this because such and such reason." But nope. I was very specific. I need to go to the site - they did put a link in the invoice for sample rules. Sigh.

No, you don't have to be special to get it, but the Lemon Vanilla Cake was supposed to be a one-off fulfillment of a request from a repeat customer. Maybe they'll add it to the menu, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yay! I got vapemail today! I didn't get my Lemon Vanilla Cake, either. :( I did get a sample of Papaya Lassi, though, which I requested as an alternate sample if the LVC wasn't available. It smells fantastic! I also got droppers with my big bottles, even though I requested no more until further notice. I guess I'm not special, either...

They didn't send me a Lemon Vanilla Cake sample either. And I know where they live!

I dunno; based on these threads, I think they'd better add it to the menu, and soon, if they want to avoid a mutiny!

I've had two juices from them that have never made it on to the menu that I had heard were possible. I opened a ticket first and asked if they could do it, and if so how I would go about ordering it. I can see why they wouldn't probably give a sample of something that they don't actually sell.

I asked via feedback about the Lemon Vanilla Cake, as suggested in a few posts above, to find out if I could get some OR how I could get some, Wlad responded directly...

Hi TexasVet,

I'm not sure what's the folks on ECF are telling you, but Lemon Vanilla Cake was a one time creation for a specific customer. We did not receive feedback so it was removed from our flavoring bases. Lemon Vanilla Cake is not available and never was for the public.

Regards,

Wlad

No offense here at all, please, but it seems cloud.nine may have got Lemon Vanilla Cake created but the rest of us CANNOT get it. Period.
Everything else just added to my confusion. Film @11

NOT! :D

Orange Creamsickle 30 ml
Lemon Sunrise 30 ml

Some very noteworthy info regarding the FDA proposal, and the 75 day public comment period:

- The FDA recognizes that different tobacco products may have the potential for varying effects on public health and is proposing two options for the categories of cigars that would be covered by this rule. The FDA specifically seeks comment on whether all cigars should be subject to deeming, and which other provisions of the proposed rule may be appropriate or not appropriate for different kinds of cigars.

- The FDA seeks answers to the many public health questions posed by products, such as e-cigarettes, that do not involve the burning of tobacco and inhalation of its smoke, as the agency develops an appropriate level of regulatory oversight for these products. The FDA seeks comment in this proposed rule as to how such products should be regulated.

Seems they are being quite sensible about e-cig regulation

Please report back on the Rune - I consider a sample every time I order but for some reason wind up grabbing something else instead.
I'm always the same way about Rune. I decided to go for it because i've gotta try it some time and no better time than the present i suppose! I will definitely report back. It's not one that gets a lot of mention.

I'm having trouble finding clear info on the "no free samples" thing. Some articles say this would be for tobacco, some talk about it along with preventing the sale of e-cig products to minors. It may turn out to mean they can't give free samples to non-customers to try to lure them into trying e-cigs. Maybe it will be ok to provide samples along with orders. I'm speculating, of course. I don't think anyone knows. Also, these rules are just proposals and subject to change when they begin the process of putting them into effect. This is at least a year out, and maybe more, considering it took 3 years for the FDA to come out with the proposal, and they were under enormous pressure to do so.

I don't think the FDA will take away Ahlusion's free samples. The way A+ works is like a discount: order a certain dollar amount and you get extra. I think the govt. regulations will pertain to companies giving free samples at trade shows, festivals, etc.

Sad sad sad sad! :( I'm so sorry that those who wanted some now might not get to try it. Just today I was thinking that since my bottle is a month or more steeped and it's really good, that I would send feedback about it. Now I will certainly have to. It really should be added to their regular line :( I'm going to write a glowing feedback in fact.

I'm vaping Zing! today. I got the 'sweet lemon' option in 50/50. At first it tasted like the white inner rind of a lemon, sort of bitter and not the best part of the fruit. It still does a little bit at one month steeped. Next time I would order it sweetened. It doesn't seem sweet at all the way it is right now. Kind of bitter... but a good, authentic lemon flavor too if that makes sense. I have it loaded into a protank, and also into the IGO-L to compare, and the flavor difference is huge. Definitely better in the igo.

I agree. It's rather like tobacco companies packaging cigarettes in a 25 pack without charging more. I read the actual text of the proposal and I think the intent of prohibiting free samples is clear.

• Prohibition of free samples of the proposed deemed products (section 102 of the Tobacco Control Act): This prohibition would eliminate a pathway for youth to access tobacco products, reducing youth initiation and therefore short-term and long-term morbidity and mortality resulting from these products.

Hardly applies to customers of age who are already buying juice.

I'm vaping Light French Roast for the first time. I loaded it into a KFL that had Café Au Lait, again without rinsing or messing with the wick. As it's replacing CAL, I'm finding it to be milder than CAL, but similar. A bit smoother, while still providing a rich coffee experience. When I say rich I don't mean strong. I like sweetened espresso, with no cream, and also Turkish, so I know strong, and LFR is not (as you'd expect with "Light" in the name!). I got my LFR sweetened and it was the right call for me. It's only slightly sweet. Wlad knows how to do sweetening without diminishing or distracting from the flavor. All in all, a definite keeper, rivaling CAL for my favorite coffee vape. I would like it a wee bit stronger, but maybe it will develop some. Even if it doesn't, I would re-order.

I will tell you the truth. Ahlusion has hundreds of ejuices not being marketed or sold to the public. They just don't have the man power to offer all these juices. There are juices that most of you have never tried or heard about. Only a few have. The orders are taking longer to complete by Ahlusion and they are getting bombarded with requests. Don't feel bad that they didn't send you the lemon vanilla cake. To be honest, it should have not been even discussed here. I am not cutting down on anyone, just telling you what is going on. That's as much as I can say.

Mozzer, I really appreciate your feedback and info on the FDA. Not to get into a discussion, this is not the place. I was just curious on your take on the samples and what you say makes sense. Yes it will be months maybe years before all is said and done but one reason I value A+ is the fact that they have the forsight to plan for the future from the start. Up front and honest.

Thank you.

For the grand finale tonight, or dessert, I'm trying Orange Nocturne. This is the last one one for me to try out of the latest order of flavors new to me. I loaded it into the Doc Dave Mini Micro that had Summer Tide, but this time I rinsed it thoroughly, along with the wick. I can't imagine it would mix well with Summer Tide. Anyway, it's another great "sipper". Tastes very much like Terry's Dark Chocolate Orange Ball. No sign of the slight booziness I was getting from the aroma. It's more of a candy orange than fresh, but I think that's the intent. It's slightly sweet, without having requested additional sweetener. It's only the 2nd orange vape I've liked. The first being 5P Gambit. It's a very different animal than Gambit, but very enjoyable. I don't think it needs any more time to steep. I wouldn't want it to get much milder.

Someone started a White House petition about FDA regs Here is the link for those who wish to sign.

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/veto-fda-restrictions-e-cigarettes/kdKtpFH4

This seems a bit premature to me. It's also not totally correct when it says e-cigarettes contain no tobacco. They certainly don't necessarily contain any, but you could say that NETs do. I also don't think they will "severely restrict their use". It wouldn't be a terrible thing for them to regulate what is allowed in them, as long as it's sensible, and not limiting flavors. I think the same thing can be accomplished by simply finding a vendor you trust, like A+, but there are plenty out there that may be selling questionable stuff. Does the president even have veto power over the FDA? I have no idea, really.

Thanks very much for the link, though. :)

All good points Mozzer. Was just putting it out there for folks to see.

I think Ahlusion will survive the regulations,I do worry about being able to receive shipments to Wisconsin once they are deemed tobacco products. I know I can't get snus sent to me.

On topic, my newest order on the way to me includes Blueberry. Has anyone had the straight blueberry? Should be delicious.

So has anyone liked the cherry Ww and apple Ww , I'm thinking I might as well have all of the wws lol

I have not tried the Cherry so someone else should comment. My response on the Apple WW should have been expanded; I found it quite lacking in flavor in comparison to the Caramel, Maple, and Vanilla WW's.

I happen to like the Apple Wild Wood. I can definitely taste the sweet apple mixed with the wild wood base!

Well, dag...while it is certainly my least favorite of the Wild Woods, I didn't think it was bad, per se. I am already not big on apple vapes in general, so when I tried Apple Wild Wood, it was serviceable for me. I think they use a red apple in this juice, and I don't really eat red apples like that, so I kind of expected my reaction to be as such.

I like Apple WW too. It's also a fave of (I'm pretty sure) RPad and (I know) our long lost NET aficionado Tezcatlipoca.
Where are you when we need you, Tez?

As one can see, peeps taste budds are subjective.
I have tried Apple, Caramel and Vanilla Wild Wood. I definitely tasted the apple at 50/50, not stupendous but solid.

The Vanilla was solid also but meh!
The caramel likewise, budds didn't like it at all. It's the caramel.

so, in summary, candy and nuts are not to my liking, fruits and criminals are. :D

Your budds may vary :)

got my first ahlusion order in. smooth criminal was very good, can't wait to try it after some steeping.
strawberry vanilla cake, an lemon cream both taste just like they should right out of the box. can't believe they can get even better with time
sleigh ride is good, but a bit sweet, glad I didn't sweeten any of my order.
cherry cola- can definitely taste the cherry cola, but there's a slight soapy taste that's putting me off. will this go away?
orange creamsicle was a bit sweet for me. hoping it mellows. comparing it to five pawns queenside, I pick five pawns.

all in all I'm impressed.
what should I try next?
boba's tea for one(meant to order it this time).

Does anyone have sale codes? I have a feedback coupon, but no other code to stack with it...

They seem to be having random, basically unannounced (?) sales. I don't know if they have been doing this all along, I only "found" A+ a few months ago. Just seems someone checks for a sale applied at checkout and lets the group know.

Perhaps a longer-time customer can give better information.

You have all the information there. There's not been a sale recently that required a code, the discount shows up in the cart. So when people are talking about stacking they are referring to using your feedback mail code along with unannounced sale for an extra discount.

Thank you for all the info. I've gotten a few emails from different vendors about this today wanting me to sign the petition. I see no reason to sign it, yet. So far it all sounds very fair and reasonable.

Ahlusion never puts out any other coupon codes. They will have sales that are automatically applied to your cart but they aren't advertised. Usually it is on or around a holiday. Sometimes they are stackable with your feedback coupon code. Most times they aren't. We never know until we try!

:offtopic: The FDA proposal finally came out:

I also wish to thank you for the heads up yesterday and it took me by surprise. The last prediction was potentially October.

After some review time and thought this is On Topic since it will affect all of us in this thread. On face value it appears reasonable and non heavy handed but there are large concerns with what I have reviewed.

I am hoping that everyone in this Ahlusion thread joins CASAA. I will donate funds to CASAA soon, since I believe comments should be delivered to the FDA as a unified front, plus they have the legal expertise.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=12957972

I hope that Wlad and Company are up for this future challenge since they are my main Vendor. Love everything about Ahlusion and I desire to be a Customer for some time.

It seems to me like many people feel this is a "victory" due to the fact that they don't ban e-cigs outright, or prohibit online sales. However as I understand it it will be both difficult and expensive for e-liquid vendors/manufacturers to get approval to sell. It may also prohibit and or stifle innovation of e-cigs. The actual deeming regs are 200 pages long, do we really think that it's 200 pages of good news? Sorry to ramble on something that is not "strictly" on-topic, I just hope we all mobilize sooner, rather than later.
