I'm starting to appreciate Gold Rising after some more steep time. We'll see what happens with the Vechhio. The vanilla isn't appearing just yet. Reminds me a bit much of Vapor Station's Texas or Tampa.

My god, to me Vecchio is like a vanilla salt. It's vanilla with a big V!

I received my first Ahlusion order today! I only bought one small bottle of Maple Dreams because I've been having such a hard time finding juices I like (wasted a lot of $$). Anyway, I can't quit taking the lid off and smelling it... it smells so good! I can't wait to try it. :D

With all the other vendors I purchased from, I've found if I don't like how it smells, I'm not going to like how it tastes/vapes.

Adding Deal Maker, Strawberry Boba, and Mango Lassi to my recommended list as well. I suspect you might love the Maple River Tree Blend (which I love as well).

Got my first order today. Five of the top recommended juices and tried them all. Back in the drawer and will hit them again in a couple weeks. I let them all air out for 20 minutes and sampled all. My initial feeling is thorough disappointment and that I may have dropped a hundred bucks on hype... Hopefully this changes after some serious steeping. Not what I expected at all and I'm not afraid of bold tobacco. Darn. Back to hurricane Vapor until then..

Can you list the liquids? Also don't despair. Plenty of us here will buy them from you. By your description I'm guessing you got all aromatics (and yes those need steeping).

I also got my first order and obviously haven't had any steeping time but I already like them all. Sahara, Peachy Criminal, Cool River Blend and Contrary Cherry. With some steeping I suspect they will get even better. I learned for me personally if I don't like it before the steep I won't like it after, if I like it before the steep I will love it after

The way we're getting XPress liquid is by knowing someone that can physically go to the Ahlusion Cafe, grab a bottle and mail it. Honestly there's no difference except for a 2-3 week head start on the aging process.

I guess I was thinking maybe wholesalers were recognized by the website and they could order the Express line. I want to make the three-and-a-half hour trek to the Ahlusion cafe someday, but this summer has turned out to be real busy for me. My son is getting married in two weeks and my daughter is having a baby in September!

I used to think this. What changed my mind was Boba's Bounty which went from make-me-nauseous to immaculate, and every one of Ahlusion's aromatics. I've also discovered that every one of Ahlusion's liquids with a strong fruit element mellows and improves significantly with a steep. The fruit tends to be tart at first and can smother whatever else is in the recipe. With a steep the tartness mellows and blends.

I got Smokin' Cherries, Devil Dog, Smooth Criminal, Gold Rising, Apple House Blend, and Grape Vine.
Here's the deal. When I opened them they almost all smelled the same. Seriously, I could barely detect any distinct differences. As advised, I let them all sit open for over 20 minutes and shook the day lights out of them several times. I expected Devil Dog to be harsh, and it is, but what I didn't expect was the ashy acrid taste and burning in my throat and nose from ALL of them. The only exception was Gold Rising, which has a note of the expected buttery sweetness of a good RY4 but still has the taste of a burnt wick. So.. I broke out three brand new atty's in three devices and tried three more. Same thing. The same acrid base taste with a lot of burning in the throat and nose, and even my lungs. Ok.. So I still blamed my simple little eRolls and their finicky atomizers. Thinking such, I shook out a tank, cleaned and filled it with my trusty and mild Sunset Cavendish from HV, using the same atty. within five or six draws I was back to a smooth and clean vape and experiencing all the flavor sensations I was seriously wondering if I had lost..
Here's the deal. I was THRILLED to receive my first order from Ahlusion. I know these need to steep but figured they would at least be halfway decent out of the box. They literally almost all taste the same to me. I took two devices with Smokin' Cherries and Apple House Blend and gave them to my wife to try, not telling them what they were. She couldn't name either base flavor in either and simply said they both tasted like an ashtray. Jeez guys, help me out here. I WANT to like these juices and mean no disrespect to the maker or to fans of them. I'm seriously wondering if there is an allergy or something going on. I'm not into candy as flavors and was a heavy smoker until making the switch seven months ago. Saying a little prayer and putting them away for now. I actually feel sincerely sorry for posting this but maybe someone else has had the same experience? Thanks.

Surely someone has. Hell, look at all those people that love The Best Damn Tobacco from Virgin Vapor . There is no consensus but the fact that there is no consensus. Oh, and I can tell you each one of those liquids off of a blind smell/taste test--I've done it. No ash to speak of. If you want ash, see The Best Damn Tobacco or any TA juice.

I've been there. This was my initial response to Boba's Bounty: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...pressions-someone-who-has-waited-forever.html You'll see how much i changed my tune towards the end of the thread.

Anyhow, I have all of the liquids you name except for Grape Vine and each is very very distinct to my tongue. The Smokin Cherries and DD definitely need a week with the cap off for the transformation to happen. I wasn't sure about either of those aromatics at first either. I didn't taste ash at all, but I wasn't a fan of the somewhat wet tasting pipe tobacco flavor. This went away entirely. I taste tested a well steeped Smokin Cherries on a friend without telling him what to expect and he loved it and said cherry pipe tobacco after two drags. As for the others I personally haven't had to steep them. Gold Rising is my least loved Ahlusion liquid out of the 20 or so i have here but Smooth Criminal, which I'm vaping right now, is tops. Same for the Apple House Blend. Also, I was a heavy smoker and hate candy flavors. There's only a few fruit flavors I can handle and these are all from Ahlusion. What I like so much about Smooth Criminal, Cherry House Blend, Cool River Tree, and Deal Maker, for instance, is that I can vape them all day, enjoy excellent throat hit and flavor that while smooth and rich is never cloying. I use the aromatics when I'm drinking as they go especially well with whiskey. In the end you might not enjoy them the way we do, but speaking from recent crow-eating experience it is worthwhile to wait a bit. If that fails, make some trades. I have stock from Halo, HHV, AiV, Backwoods, Want2Vape, AVE, Vermillion River, VaporStation, MBV and I bet others here have far more on hand to trade.

The burning taste you're describing is really confusing to me, too, as silky "smooth" characterizes most of their liquids for me. What ratios do you have and with how much nic?

Thanks for the insight. Like I said, I totally expected to like them. Maybe I has a preconceived notion of perfection when patience is in order. I have no intention of tossing or trading them at this point even after my pretty horrible first impression. They will be left to steep for at least two weeks before I make any kind of further personal judgement. Still, it's sure hard to be so let down at the onset.

Nothing Ahlusion sells has anything remotely resembling ashy taste, and I can't think of a reason that you might get that. There is no ash. The aromatics -- which do NOT require steeping at all -- are strong straightforward tobaccos, and may be shocking to someone who has never had powerful extracted tobacco before. The non-aromatics DO need steeping -- for me, some need 8-12 weeks to reach their flavor peaks. But immature Smooth Criminal is SO FAR from ashy (it's sweet and creamy) that lack of steeping isn't the issue you're having.

Smokin Cherries is strong burley cured with cherries, and it is deep, lush, delicious, BIG tobacco, just dripping with real cherry flavor. I'm vaping it right now, and it's beyond wonderful. If you taste ash in it, I'm sure you're reacting to the strong tobacco flavor, which simply may not be to your taste. Not yet anyway.

Good luck. I'd say come back and try again after making sure you're well-hydrated. If you continue to get an ashy taste, you'll have no problem selling these.

Fresh Sahara is great, old Sahara is great. It's good in between too.
