I'm really enjoying Smooth Criminal today. I've enjoyed it all along, but it's really hitting me right today. It's at 24 days steeping. The difference in aroma between this one and my new 60 mL bottle is significant. Have about 1/2 of the 30 mL bottle left. I'm going to make it last at least another week to see how it is at 1 month+

I love the natural fresh tartness from unsteeped HHV fruit purity's. It's the alcohol/baking soda aftertaste I'm getting in ahlusion that i'm not used too. Also, I doubt the sweet syrupy taste will ever turn into a natural tart fruit taste i'm so used to getting from HHV. It's really not bad, but I was expecting something different.
Crazy. I've never tasted anything like that. I haven't tried sweet strawberry or berry potter, though.

I made the mistake of having them add sweetener to a bottle of the Chocolate Cream. Bad choice. The juice is good, but it is too sweet and does have a slight funny aftertaste, and is much better without the sweetener.

Maybe I'm over sensitive to the sweeteners they've added.

I have had one juice where I felt the sweet was borderline too sweet, but I did order it with sweetener added. I can't say how important this is, some of Ahlusion juices are vapeable, even enjoyable, right out of the mailbox - mainly fruit varieties in my experience so far (and I hear the aromatic tobaccos as well). Smooth Criminal is vapeable in that I'm not patient enough to let it steep for too long, and always have to sample it upon arrival before steeping. Even the fruit varieties benefit from steeping, even if steep time is suggested at 1 week (by whomever), I find that 2+ weeks or more make a moderate to strong difference in every juice I have tried from them (This is not to contradict anyone, just my personal experience and YMMV). If you have a juice that does not taste right when it arrives, let it sit and come back to it, no matter which juice it is. I have given up on 3 too early because I got impatient and didn't expect a transformation enough that I would end up liking them, but saved 1 ml of each one before trading for other juices and found all 3 were great and impressive after a longer steep than I would have expected. Odd aftertastes or strange notes often balance out in the steeping process, and Ahlusion definitely creates products that become well-balanced over time, with different ingredients blending and often mellowing (except perhaps the aromatic line, which I cannot say because I have not tried them yet). I have a bottle of raspberry sunset now that I detected a perfume-y/floral note to in the beginning, which has now diminished and the intended raspberry/peach shine through.

Did you ask for extra sweetener? I've never added it ever.

Certainly, I suspect that we all have different preferences as far as the variety of sweeteners goes. In this very thread, a few other people explained that they couldn't stand Ahlusions. In part because I feel bad for them and in part because I'm always on the hunt for yet another incredible liquid, I almost always end up placing an order at the vendor they insist is superior. And here's where it becomes clear that there are groups of people with categorically different tastes. For instance, one poster in this thread swore by GoodLife, so at his recommendation I tried English Bulldog, El Kamino, 925, and Deadly Sin. It wasn't that I just didn't like these as much as Ahlusion's liquids, but that I found them utterly wretched. So I steeped them and have been trying them in small doses now and then. Tried EB and DS again today and immediately emptied and cleaned the Protanks. Horrid stuff to my tongue. Another person recommended Hurricane, and in that case, I quite like the six or so flavors I've tried, and now have the rest of their options on the way. None beats Ahlusion's best in my mind, but I'm thankful to have found another range of great options in them.

Hmmm...I'll have to try that. A blast? Really? I've never tried any tea flavors. How pronounced is the tea?

Boy! That description sure looks like what you're after...doesn't it? Even still, I would shoot an email to Wlad first about your desire for bursting-cherry flavor.

Yes, but I've been seduced before.... Haven't given up on the "Contrary Cherry"...still flirting with it- it's lovely, but still a little bland.

Just yesterday ordered "Sweet Cherry Something" based on an earlier poster's description, and "Jump n Jive" (A naturally sweet fruit blend highlighting our Cherries.)

I love this juice, but I wouldn't say the cherries blast. They're delicious and they taste like cherries should, NOT like an enhanced or sweetened cherry flavoring. The taste is that of high-quality bing cherries from western Michigan. The tea is a strong, naturally extracted green tea. Pronounced? I would say it tastes like tea. If you don't like the taste of tea, stay away from anything Ahlusion that has the word tea in its name.

I agree with Mann. You should email Wlad and let him know that you want something with super-strong cherry flavor, rather than the typical Ahlusion flavor, which tends to hew toward the sensation of eating the actual fruit. He can probably accommodate you.

I didn't add sweetener. I'm letting it steep.

okay, I'm up at 7 EST so I can try to put an order in right at 8. Wish me luck because if I can't get an order in today you will probably hear me screaming in frustration from my house. =/

Well I see they are open right now so hopefully you had luck getting your order placed..

I don't know where you all got the idea that I'm looking for "super-strong" or artificial cherry. I'm just looking for cherry that I can actually taste and that actually tastes like cherry!

Somewhere out there
Let us know how you like Sweet Cherry Something, I had it in my wish list but didn't order it yet. I also think Contrary Cherry is a weak tasting juice, but for some reason adding it to Sweet Surrender brings out the cherry more for me. You might want to try that mix :)

I also think the peach flavors are bit too weak, I have peaches & cream and poppin peach and tarte tatin peach and they are all a bit eh to me. I have added some lemon cream to bring out more flavor to them. They seemed to loose something with steeping and were stronger out of the mail box. Maybe it is just my taste buds? bnrk

Definitely agree that your best bet of all is to email Wlad and specify exactly what you're hoping for and have him recommend something based on that.

I find Peachy Affair to be super strong natural peach. Might want to try that one as it's pure peach with a hint of melon.

I've considered doing some mixing too. I'll bet a little of Roar's "black cherry Oh Yeah!" Mixed with "contrary cherry" might fix it for me. Likewise, I've considered adding some of Roar's "Lazarus" (cherry/lime) to Ahlusion's "cherry cola". I know this is blasphemy!

Nope, that's not blasphemous, it's catering to your own tastes. All the kids are doing it. LOL
