Fixed. Apologies.. No, Mr. Mann, DD is my wake up vape with a mocha espresso every day. Double jolt. :)

Damn! Okay then, maybe instead of me trying to coerce it out of you, I should just recommend another liquid to you? hahaha. Have you tried Apache from Mountain Oak Vapor? It's DD's half brother (they have different fathers).

Lol. When vaping Gold Rising I sometimes get.. yuck pee!.. then continue to vape it. That one and another honey tobacco I have gets complaints that it smells like ferret piss.. not sure why ferret, not familiar with that specific pee scent.

Mildew, feet, sweaty sock, dirty hippy.. never thought I would use those terms to compliment a flavor; but there you have it.

It's funny how GR is so widely received. I am head-over-heels in love with GR, but some folks just can't go near it. Although I get "pungent", I don't pick up any offensive tastes/aromas.

One of the first things that hit me when I opened my first bottle of GR, was that it smelled very much like an aromatic- specifically BGB or DD. While it vapes nothing like BGB or DD, my brain tells me that it's definitely a second or third cousin to these aros. It has some aromatic qualities, but it's definitely a much more refined and a much cleaner vape than it's "raw tobacco" aromatic cousins. I never get any honey taste from GR (which is ok with me), rather I get a sweetness that would normally be present as a result of fermentation

Just dripped Grape Vine after approximately 3 weeks of steeping. Perfect Welch's grape juice flavor with a slight carbonation/soda taste, but not fake like a grape soda and not that soda-y, if that makes sense. Not an ADV, but something to add to the line-up every few days for a few minutes.

That carbonation effect is the sensation of the grape skin. You taste the skin first in Grape Vine (and when you eat a real grape), then the meat of the fruit. Despite the very real taste and mouthfeel of GV, for some reason it isn't a juice I like a lot. Can't explain why.

Agree 100% on all fronts. It has that "ooh, wow" factor and the "hey, you got to try this" effect, but not the "it's Friday night, just got paid, going to vape Grape Vine" fate.

prior to finding ahlusion i had no idea it was possible to like so many juices from one vendor...right now GR is competing with Smooth Criminal, apple house blend and the mother OF ALL JUICES EVERYWHERE PEAR CARAMEL BLACK TEA

I just got a big bottle of GR about a week ago....im usually in the camp of "steeping is nonsense" but this particular juice does benefit greatly from it as i compared some GR from an older bottle ...on the newer bottle i notice the honey right away whereas on the older one its more on the exhale...odd

my latest order should arrive tomorrow with a big bottle of Smooth Criminal....i have no idea why i waited so long to try that one...it seems like outside of the aromatic line to be Ahlusion's signature juice...mannnnnnnnnnnn is it ever good...

Just dripped Sahara Blend for the first time after approximately 4 weeks of steeping- it's very tasty. Dry is my first impression, yet a little sweet. It's similar in body to a light analog, I would say. I cannot say this liquid successfully competes with SC for an ADV, but I will keep in my daily rotation until it is gone. I have noticed with Ahlusion flavors that some really grow on me after a few days. Liquids that I am not sure of at first can become my favorites. Mango Lassi did that to me. It began as something odd that I could not seem to put down, and transformed into a 'I gotta have this' juice on a regular basis.

One thing I have not seen mentioned yet on this thread is Ahlusion's new drip top on their PET bottles. I love this change.
Yes! And they're perfect for avoiding gurgling in Protanks (which I finally realized occurs when you refill a tank and get any liquid at all on the center pipe).

Yes, I do love those and its a huge improvement. The one thing on the bottles is that the smaller plastic ones are not very squeezable, i dont know what kind of plastic it is but there are better alternatives lol. Also, and this is an admittedly minor complaint, I wish the big bottles came in plastic also.

Go to the Ahlusion site and so a search for "LDPE" and you'll see why they don't use it. I am a fan of PET. But mostly I am particular to what goes in to any kind of bottle. Damn the plastic! I just want good liquid! :thumb:

The PET bottles Ahlusion uses are actually my favorite. I save my PET bottles from any vendor and put juices from the squishy plastic bottles in them right away. The PET keeps juices fresher better, much less tendancy to leach plastic into the juice, and I like how transparent it is. Didn't take long to get used to how they drip.

I didn't know Ahl switched drip tops? What are the new ones like?

wow.. this is weird. When I first started vaping I was on a mission to find true tobacco flavor. Nothing came remotely close, so I pretty much gave up. Even Smooth Criminal doesn't really remind me of tobacco. It's just a subtle, somewhat complex, flavorful vape. i really like it. But Vurley, that's really reminding me of analogs. Tastes far better, mind you. It's weird tho. I even got a slight head rush. It's only 12mg 50/50. and no, I didn't chain vape 3mL. lol. I've vaped 30mg without feeling that. I'm assuming it's a NET?

I'm not sure if I like it. About a month after I started vaping (I had dropped analogs with my 1st real e-cig experience), I took 3 puffs off a Camel and couldn't stand it. I have not had even a remote desire for one since. So maybe I just don't like tobacco any longer. Still, vurley is more pleasant than an analog. It tastes kinda nice. I'll give it some time.

All the Ahlusion tobaccos are NETs.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I wasn't sure I liked the aromatics at first either. Then I suddenly loved them. THEN I started tasting the tobacco in the non-aros and liking that too. Now I'm a tobacco vaper probably 85% of the time.

You'll taste the tobacco in Smooth Criminal if you give it 6-8 weeks. Set a little aside, mark it on your calendar, and see if I'm right.

I'm having a time trying to find an explanation of aromatic and non-aromatic. I have juices from nite-lite, backwoods, alien visions, five pawns, and more. I'd like to order some from Ahlusion, but before I do, I need a better understanding of this process. Would someone please offer some insight? Thanks.

best regards, larry mac

I still have about 10mL of my first bottle of SC. It's been steeping for 30 days. I also have an untouched 60mL bottle that's 17 days steeped. I don't plan on vaping that until 4-6 weeks. I'll leave the remaining 10mL of bottle 1 for another couple of weeks. I still have some in my AC9, too. I'll miss it when it runs out!

In other news:
- JG Blend with dark roast smells nice. The vape is very different than the nose at the moment, and I can't place it. Maybe a hint of tobacco, slightly floral? heh.. not sure. no coffee detected. This one will need some steep time.
- Strawberry Vanilla Cake. Smells great. Tastes pretty nice right away. Definite fresh strawberry with a hint of cake that I think will come out later.
- Pineapple Cream. smells like creamy pineapple. Vape is similar to the other creams. Tastes pretty good out of the mail. Gets really good at 1 week+. That was Lime Cream for me.
- Kona Kick. The nose reminds me a lot of other coffees I've tried. A fair amount of alcohol and maybe a hint of coffee. I haven't vaped it yet. It will probably develop with steeping but I have to say I'm skeptical based on my other experiences. However, my Ahlusion experiences have been exceptional, so that may turn out to be the case here. Again steep time needed.

I fully anticipated needing to steep all but Vurley. It's just fun to sample them right out of the mail.
