For me, genesis atties reduce any complex juice to its strongest flavor element. I am not a fan at all. Rebuildables that use silica or cotton wicks don't have that effect for me.

I don't get the hyper-sweetness thing. I can't think of any reason someone would taste that in an A+ product. But then I don't know why people like the taste of Pluid at 60 watts either. So. . .whatevah.

True. I've converted all my gennies to cotton wick micro builds and the flavor is much more even. When I first went to cotton I thought the flavor was muted, but it was just the strongest flavor moving back to blend with the others. The net effect is much better flavor overall. This was particularly evident with Smooth Criminal. I was worried that it would suffer because it's subtle. Turned out to be one of the flavors that benefited most.

I think I said in the comments that any one of several different samples was fine, in case any of them weren't available for samples, since I was aware some weren't. I wasn't fussy about which one I got, I just wanted the chance to try another juice and get a feel for the flavors. I know at least one of the ones I asked for was available as Xpress, so I don't understand why they wouldn't be able to do a sample of it, you know?

My flavors:
Deal Maker (meh.)
Berry Shangri La (slightly better, but nothing to write home about)
Xpress Tiramisu (bleeeh, this is the first time I've hated a tiramisu ejuice)

All are 50/50 and 6mg.

I mean, it's great that y'all love them and feel they're worth the hassle. But I had a nightmare of a time just opening my stupid account on the site to make a wishlist, let alone getting an order in, because their hours are so incompatible with mine. And then it took a while for them to even get my order together... and then shipping time... and now I'm supposed to wait several weeks or MONTHS before I can use them? I don't have time for all of that! Add to that the lack of samples, free or otherwise, and the price, and the nauseating sweetness of the otherwise "just okay" juices, and I honestly don't understand why anyone would subject themselves to that. Especially not when I've got one fantastic online vendor and two brick-and-mortars within easy driving distance that make juice that tastes a lot better to me with absolutely none of this bizarre hassle. It's cool they're not doing this to make a profit, but for my own sanity, I think I'd rather order from someone who is. I'm glad other people like them so much, but trying to deal with the company and make the ejuices work for me is just too much for me, lol.
Bummer it didn't work out for a BioShock fan. That's the name of the vaping game, though. I have almost no tolerance for overly sweet blends which is why Ahlusion's is among my all-time favorites. But different strokes right? Worst case scenario, you're at least aware that you needn't feel as though you're missing out on something special when you see others rave about Ahlusion. I'll try every top vendor for that reason -- whether I write them off or add them to my short list of suppliers, I find it well worth it. Now four or five months in I'm finding there's relatively few I like. Ahlusions, HHV, AVE, and Halo's Tribeca. Nothing else comes close.

OK let's see. Here is my paltry list of tries so far

Strawberry Vanilla Cake
Gold Member
Pineapple USD Cake
Plain Boba Tea
Contrary Cherry
Rick's Request
Banana Cream Pie
Cha-Yen Orange Blossom
Lemon Cream
Ginger Candy
Orient Whisper

Gotta plot my next one.
How do you like Rick's? It never gets love here, but it's phenomenal and one-of-a-kind. I haven't found anything like it at all anywhere else.

Order came in today :mail:

Only new flavor was Apple WW, had to drip that as soon as I got it unwrapped. Definitely smokey, and very light on the apple - does the apple get stronger with steeping? Does anyone know what type of tobacco is in this flavor? I would be interested in trying more NETs with this specific tobacco profile.

The apple does indeed get much stronger with age. I was surprised how light the apple was at first, but was so impressed by the woodsy tobacco flavor that I was happy with it. Since then the apple's moved up quite a bit, but it never overpowers the tobacco.

No idea what tobacco is used, but Huntsman from HHV (based on memory) has a somewhat similar woodsy feel.

OK, I have to sound off in fear that I'm the only one who loves the hell out of Rick's Request and am terrified that Wlad will remove it from his listings. It's a true-to-flavor rice pudding with raisin, and it's among the very few non-tobacco/menthols that I can vape all day every day. There's nothing like it anywhere else (the closest anything comes is something with raisin/plum/current notes such as Grumpy's Hooch/Voodoo/unsteeped Boba's Bounty, but this is totally distinct). Am I seriously alone on this?

I did! :) It was a bit..perfumey? Dunno - my first reaction was to steep it. Using the Wlad steep method, I'm at three weeks this Saturday. I'll try it and Smooth Criminal then.

Yeah, Sahara stayed perfumey for me even after the 8 week mark. Let me know if it does for you, too, cos chances are we have similar tastes. And they have so many brilliant non-perfumey tobaccos to try.

Here are the ones I've tried so far:

Mango Lassi
Tiramisu
Lime Cream
Smooth Criminal
Cafe Au Lait
Vurley
Pineapple Cream
Strawberry Vanilla Cake
JG Blend - dark roast
Kona Kick

Fav's perhaps in order, but it varies with my mood:
Smooth Criminal
Strawberry Vanilla Cake
Lime Cream
Vurley
Mango Lassi
Cafe Au Lait

Ones that are really growing on me as they steep:
JG Blend
Pineapple Cream

The only one that's sort of "meh":
Tiramisu - haven't given up on it, but I think it's just too subtle or something

Most notable up and coming is JG Blend. I'm starting to get the coffee notes and it's evening out. I like it and I think it will continue to get better.

Edit: forgot to mention Kona Kick. It's still got a fair amount of alcohol aroma for me, and not so much coffee yet. Not vaping it for a few more weeks. I have high hopes for it.

You have to be specific to get a sample. Including the mg and ratio. You'll get the exact juice you ask for in 10ml. Xpress flavors are not available as free samples. I'm sure it was overlooked because of the choices you included. You want to say "Could I have a sample of Lime Cream, 6mg, 50/50". If there are any options for the juice include them. No sweetener, no mint or menthol. I always put the sample flavor I want in my wish list so I can see all of the options I need to include in the comment box.

Wow, are you serious? I'm sorry, but everything about how they do business seems insane. I think I'm just used to way better communication! The other vendors I use would either tell you that you need to do something like that up front or else shoot you an email to clarify afterward... or usually both. I really can't tell whether I'm having incredibly bad luck with ahlusion or if everyone else in this thread just has the patience of a saint. I can handle one or two quirks in a company, but the list just keeps growing and growing. Whaaaaaat. But that just means more juice for the rest of you, right? :)

HHV is actually within easy driving distance of me, so I may pay Heather a visit soon. :D And yeah, it's a bummer, although I actually feel more like a weirdo than anything else. I don't think it's necessarily that I'm impatient, or that the juices are bad, but every policy the company has makes me want to spam Devil's Kiss on my computer. ;) But so far, VapeRite has the one juice I can vape all day (VR4), and I have other places to get stuff I only want occasionally, so I'm not too sad about Ahlusion. Just annoyed I wasted so much time and energy on it, heh.

So I just looked back at my order confirmation from my first order. I requested a sample of Blue Fairy and I received it. I didn't specify my mg or ratio, I just said, "May I please have a sample of Blue Fairy?" I did that on my second order with Black Peach Tea, so we'll see if that one comes.

There are a few of us longtime Ahlusion fans that enjoy Rick's Request, but you're the only one I know that prefers it fresh. Ha! Even it's gone from the menu, you can always ask for it. It's likely that Wlad will still have the flavoring ingredients on hand.

Cotton IS where it's at! I will never use silica ever again...
