You need to have your order be over $20 and Express liquids do not count towards the $20 total. Express liquids also can not be your free sample. There is a place on the website that explains this. My first order I ordered a 30ml bottle of juice and an Express one. My order was over $20, but because I ordered the Express and not from the regular menu, I did not get the free sample. Hope this explains it for you. You need to request what you want in the comments section when ordering. "Name, mg level and vg/pg ratio for sample please"

Thanks for reminding me about TH! It's been missing from my cabinet for quite some time now... I never really noticed the similarity between SC and TH, but now that you say that.....you've got me thinking!
Four and a half weeks of steeping and my Vecchio still isn't "there" yet
So what ratio do you guys like your Smooth Criminal at? I'm on the last little bit of my 10ml sample size of that and planning to reorder a larger size of that one, and several others, in the next couple days. The ratio on my current one is 30/70 VG/PG but Wlad said the following to me in one of my feedback replies:
"I also recommend a slightly higher VG ratio on the Smooth Criminal as it will bring out sweeter notes. The higher the PG, the more of a smokiness profile you'll bring out. So it can either way depending on your preferences."
Also, for anyone who's tried it both ways, do you agree with the above sentiment? I'm kinda liking it at the current 30/70 but might be interested in trying it sweeter as well.
Hmmm perhaps I should sample another small size but in the 50/50 this time instead of getting my big girl bottle just yet. Input? and TIA.

I've ordered from Ahlusion one time before a while back.. probably sometime last year? Overall, I have to say I was not that impressed. All of the liquids seemed to have this harshness to them that didn't appeal to me. I got honeydew boba tea, strawberry vanilla cake, sweet surrender, and pink label.
The SVC was probably the most disappointing to me after all the hype I heard. I dunno... it wasn't terrible, just not what I expected. The "cake" part of it tasted weird... like stale and spongey rather than a buttery vanilla cake, which was what I was hoping for. The boba tea wasn't bad but I didn't love it... same with the sweet surrender. The pink label was also kinda synthetic tasting to me and had that harshness. Yes, these were all steeped for at least 2 weeks and ordered in 12mg nic which is what I always get. I think I actually did finish the SVC at some point and I still have more than half full bottles of the other juices. I'm vaping them again now because of this thread and I still feel the same way about these juices. The harshness doesn't bother me too much now however, but it could be because I'm using it in a clearo and the TH is a little weak so the 'harshness' actually adds a good amount of TH to it now.
But I do see many people love Ahlusion and I want to give them another chance. I see others also aren't impressed by what they got, so maybe its some base flavoring they use that just doesn't agree with some of our tastebuds?
Anyways, on my next order, I want to try the Lemon Cream, Mango Lassi, Caramel Pear Black tea, Strawberry Shortcake, and either Gold Member or Peachy Criminal. I don't normally vape tobacco but I enjoy it occasionally. Its definitely grown on me and may not be an ADV but I do find myself using up all tobacco samples given to me from other vendors.
Can anyone distinguish the difference between the strawberry vanilla cake and strawberry shortcake? And does anyone beside me think the cake one just tastes weird?? And which is the better tobacco vape in your opinion? I generally like sweet tobaccos... don't really know much about the other attributes like cigar/pipe/extracted. Right now the site isn't working for me so I can't look...
Anyways... if I don't like what I get this order I probably won't order from them again. And how long of a wait do you think it'll be from ordering to receiving it in the mail? If I recall correctly, my last order was not exactly a short wait...

I've always gotten it at 50/50. Sometimes I'll get hints of sweetness, and sometimes I'll get more of a tobacco flavor. Only occasionally a bit of "smokiness" but much more subtle than from an aromatic like Vurley.
I might try higher VG myself later. I'm currently steeping a 60mL bottle while going through an XPress 30mL one. On the other hand higher VG might suppress the tobacco, so maybe a balance is better. Can always try it both ways, of course.
Hate to question or disrupt your excellent discipline, but at least a few of us have no trouble with a juvenile SC. In fact, I don't think I ever found out what six week old untouched SC tastes like. My 60 ml bottles are usually about a third to half gone by then. I don't think I ever made it past two weeks on an SC steep and it is normally more like a week.
Don't forget to shake them every now and then. And like Mr. Mann said, recommend opening them a couple of times.
Kyi, I don't think there is a lot of hype. In my opinion, "hype" is when you go to all other threads and exalt a vendor in all contexts, or live to keep a thread bumped in the nite lite (LOL). This is just a thread for a vendor. Hell, as you pointed out, some people even in this thread don't love all things Ahlusion, just as no one ever will with any other vendor (unless you are a die hard fanatic). The one thing I think is happening with this thread is that some newer vapers to Ahlusion are trying to find what suits them best and more experienced vapers of Ahlusion are attempting to assist.
Honestly though, if you haven't changed delivery devices, I would say don't order from them again. Count your losses from the first order, trade or sell those liquids, and find something better to you. If you liked nothing from them, I don't see that changing.

I never understood this mindset. If I tried something and didn't enjoy it, I'm on to the next one.Maybe someone else is, but I'm not here to convince anyone to order from a vendor or give reasons why you aren't enjoying something the way others are.
It's ok to not like Ahlusion. Not like you're missing out on a few folks' favorite juices.
Everyone's tastes are different. Newby at work said everything she tried was so harsh it burned her throat until I gave her some Ahlusion to try. Life is funny like that sometimes.
Could be Ahlusion's just not for you. Not the end of the world if you have other vendors you like. Might recommend some feedback e-mail first and if you decide to give them another try. I think a lot of us have tried juices that others rave about and wondered what the fuss was all about.
Like Mr. Mann said the delivery system could have a lot to do with it. The VG/PG ratio on a particular juice could too. Also not sure about the harshness but it could be the delivery system or combination of the power/resistance. Most seem best between 3.7 and about 4.2 volts. Longer steeping may help on some particularly the baked goods. I stay away from baked goods in general because the cake type elements always taste bitter to me. That is not just for Ahlusion's juices but for all.
