In other words, you have become a complete juice snob. :p

So what other Ahlusion non-aros do you consider worthy besides SC? I'm curious about Desperado and JG Blend.

That's a good question. Everything non aro I have tried has been good, really good.. but SC is head and shoulders above that still. The one most akin to SC that I have tried is Desperado. It's also excellent, but so close to SC, that I don't know if its worth owning both. Mind you, I've only had mine for one day, so that isn't really a fair assessment.

I've only had peach wildwood but found that I much preferred the river tree. Vecchio I love, but its VERY vanilla and less tobacco. Sahara.. well you know about Sahara.

Deal maker is probably next on my list.. I hear its the same base mix as Desperado/criminal but with COCOA notes... so thats a pure win, for me. Also want to delve into the house blends.. haven't tried any yet so I couldn't tell ya. I've heard good and bad things about them, so I guess I'll find out.

Gold rising.. um, probably not going to be your thing. It's different. Like, funky different. I say its a long shot.

Wow! Deal Maker sounds really nice, like something I would really like. I'm gonna try to beat ya to it. :)

So I guess my next order will include Deal Maker and Desperado for sure. Perhaps some Caramel WW as well.

SC is tops, but for me, Deal Maker, Desperado, House Blend, Caramel WW, and Cool River Tree Blend are close competitors.

Does the Aurora give a warm vape or would u say a cooler vape being a bottom feeder?

A bottom feeder forces liquid up through the bottom hole of a standard atomizer. It's just dripping from below. So warm or cool depends on how far the atomizer/driptip combo gets your mouth from the coil in the atty. I love standard atties above all other vaping methods, so bottom feeders have been a godsend for on-the-go vaping. I get the flavor and performance of 510 atties without dripping, leaking, or even having to watch what I'm doing. I've never used this device, but it sure looks like a cost-effective way of having a regulated bottom feeder -- since a VV REO is about $175. Stick this on a Provari or Ego (or Vamo, Zmax, etc.) and you have a nice, mess-free dripping experience at your choice of power settings.

And since Peraspera says it's good, it's good. She's always right. Seriously.

Just got my bottle of "ice kiss" and I'm not getting any mint from it at all:( I even selected the option for extra mint! I just get a bad burnt vanilla taste:( hopefully steeping for longer will help

Now that is odd. I've never ordered extra mint, and Ice Kiss is extra minty. I love it.

Of the 5 bottles I've ordered from Ahlusion in my life, I keep coming back to the Vanilla Black Tea. It's sweeter than I usually like (and that's without the sweetened option), but it's such a nice flavor, especially as an after dinner treat. Keeps getting better too as time goes on. It's about two weeks old now. I'm watching it "grow up."

Also ordered:
Chai Latte (like it a lot but it's not an ADV for me)
Sahara (really liked it OOB but not sure I like it *quite* as much now. It's taken on a different personality).
Tiramisu (didn't really like it OOB. Too savory/cake-y/not what I was expecting. Not like the dessert I know. Maybe time to give it another toot)
Devil Dog (I'm still afraid of this one. Spent a day with it early on. Will come back to it when I get tired of the sweet stuff. Or when my 60ml of Dragon's Fire runs out! )

Cool, then you can tell ME how it is. I'm trying to wait for my coupon anyways bcz there's a few I want too.. and I don't really mess with the little bottles. I like the pretty glass.. because I'm a vape snob apparently. :p

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. :)

I tried the House Blend once, but got some sort of anise note from it that didn't agree with me. I personally liked SC much more. I guess I'll order the other four you mentioned.

What's your take on Cool River Tree Blend?

I like this guy. Thanks for showing the link to this video. Can you use a regular 510 atty with this or do you need a specific type of 510 atty (i.e. bottom feeder type)? Have you used it with the coil yet?

Any 510 dripping atomizer with a hole in the bottom will work with the Aurora. All of the atties I have are like that except for a SmartVapes one with a sealed bottom. I would expect that sealed bottom atties will usually be noted as such in the product description.

The heads for the first Aurora I ordered were gurgly but the others have been fine although I prefer the dripping atty. Right now I'm trying to talk myself into continuing to use the Aurora atties until they die before replacing them with HH.357s. However, I expect that my frugal intentions will be going by the wayside sooner rather than later.

The Aurora heads are rebuildable although I haven't bothered. My atties last for months and I find the HH.357s do a better job of preserving the flavors I like than my own builds. That said, most people seem to prefer their own builds on RDAs compared to manufactured disposable atties.

...
My equipment is still rather limited to a few eGo VV batteries, a lot of cartomizers and clearomizers plus a mini Kanger Pro Tank. I've wanted to try my hand at dripping but was feeling intimidated by the RBAs. I also go through at least 6 ml of juice a day, mostly while at work and need a delivery method that will keep up with my chain vaping! Thanks to this thread, I think I may have found a good alternative/bridge item--I just ordered the Aurora and should have it by next week. I don't like the cooler vapor I get from the bottom coil Kanger and it seems like this will provide a warmer vape, esp. w/a shorter atomizer.

Again, I just wanted to say "hi" and introduce myself.

Welcome and glad to hear you are enjoying your Ahlusion juice!

If you are going through that much juice I would think that you will probably prefer the painfully priced HH.357s quite a bit over the atty that comes with the Aurora. The HH.357's put more juice on the coil than other manufactured atties.

Also, I would strongly encourage you to look into rebuildable dripping atties (RDAs). They are much, much easier to build than the tank-type rebuildables such as the gennies. Some flavors such as tobaccos, coffees, strong citrus and anise hold up well to the coil builds needed to produce big clouds that it sounds like you might prefer.

Start with building micro coils with oHms high enough to use within the safe confines of a protected PV. You could start practicing your building skills on your Aurora heads.

Wow, tastes are odd indeed. No anise at all in HB to my tongue. Not remotely. It's a bit peppery, which I find perfect for nights out when the analog temptations arise. To me HB is an SC cousin but a bit harsher.

If you ever smoked menthols ever, like Marlboro Smooths especially or Camel Crush (or the awesome Dutch take on Camel Crush), Cool River Tree Blend is perfect.

Just got my first order in today, and going solely on the smells that whafted up from those awesome glass bottles, this place could be very bad for my bank account. Not to mention they are only about an hour from me. I'm itching to crack into the Devil Dog. Desperado is on my list now too. Thanks for all the fantastic info everyone!

I have never been much of a tobacco vaper with the exception of Mom & Pop Tobacco Haze. Then I tried Velvet Cloud White Beard and loved it and decided to try some non-aros from Ahlusion. The WWs came highly recommended, so I decided to give them a try. The Vanilla and Caramel WW are mild, sweet, well-balanced and just tasty. I highly recommend them!

Gold Rising....bad funky? Bad funky how SharonMM?

I would 've willing to give Deal Maker a shot, too.

Bryan, all of our tastes differ and I can't speak for Sharon, but I know our tastes our fairly similar. I place Gold Rising, Sahara, and Vechhio in the Halo (Tribeca excluded) family of musty perfume arti-baccos. If you want a caramel tobacco, get Caramel Wild Wood. Those three are among Ahlusion's few failings for me. I find the aromatics nasty and beer can ashtray tasting, and their strawberry isn't close to the fruit -- rather it's the same one used in Mambo and Starburst candies. Other than that everything else is great.

Hmm.. anise? What kind of atty were you using?

(Sorry, I just had to)

Ice Kiss is one I always have in rotation, don't let it steep and I get mint...but more of a buttercream mint then peppermint...if that makes any sense

B, now YOU might actually like Gold Rising. When I say funky, think like white beard, burley beard. The funk in GR is fermented honey. It's not something everyone will appreciate.
