Hi all,

Has anyone vaped these three and recommend one :

maple-house-blend
maple-wild-wood
maple-river-tree-blend

I might add a maple one to my next order. I'm looking for tasting both tobacco and maple equally if possible. And both having natural flavors.

Thanks.

Hey Chinook. While I really, really like Maple House Blend, of those choices you listed, I would go with the Maple Wild Wood. The maple is balanced well with a noticeable tobacco. Oh, and if you find too much maple going on at first, I GUARANTEE that it will relax after about a month.

Maple House Blend has a great maple, but the tobacco takes a while to awake.

I don't enjoy Maple River Tree Blend as much as the other two, but I still think it's a solid juice. The River Tree Blends are my lovable messes, LOL. This juice has a noticeable tobacco impact also -- it's just I find something going on with the tobacco that distracts the juice as a whole.

I think you are hesitant to go for Maple Burley (I lurk the Natural Tobaccos thread, lol), but it is fantastic to me. There's TOBACCO, but there is also the MaPlE. I found it just enough to take some of the bite of the burley. I would recommend this above all those you listed. :)

I was hoping someone could answer Chinook's question; thanks B&J! Some great info there for me too.

You're such a great poster B, don't be shy about posting in the NT thread! You have great insight when it comes to comparing flavors and describing them.

Thank you Jerms! I am shy about posting in that thread; you all know your tobacco there. I read the thread in awe, LOL.

Steeping, or rather, fresh liquids vs. aged liquids can be a trip--just ask DIYers. That's why one of the key things in DIYing is to not only document the exact recipes, but to also note the dates of mixtures. What's really cool (as long as everything was documented) is having a liquid turn out great that at first was not so; but what is really frustrating is having a recipe that at first tastes great but doesn't age/meld well--that aging part really sucks when you've made a big ol' vat after falling in love with a fresh mixture. I thought I had a perfect DK-TAB clone using Hangsen, but alas, certain Hangsen concentrates (like their TAB Blended) age poorly. Sorry Randy C for suggesting the Hangsen concentrate. What can I say? It was great at first. Mix small and vape it fast. LOL

Brings to mind an old e-mail conversation with Wlad about temperature, humidity, sunlight etc. that can impact the flavor of juices. Can't remember specifics but he said different times of year required tweaks to get the same flavor. The fact that he knew that, was aware and adjusted as needed gave me just another reason to be (and stay) A+!

BnJ- jump on in that thread. Great crowd over there. I learned a lot reading there and even asking a few questions. They were pretty tolerant with this "newbie" a while back. Probably still are.

For many of us it's all basically compare and contrast. Some of us knew very little about tobacco prior to vaping, and plenty of us still don't know a ton, but that thread--and ultimately vaping a slew of NETs and researching the tobaccos used--has made it so we can at least not get laughed out of a tobacco shop with our questions and or simple chatting.

Hey Apptiger, I agree. The posters in that thread, like this one, are very helpful and patient :) I suppose a little estrogen in there couldn't hurt, right?

Yeah this about covers it. The thread is really about vapes made from tobacco; actual tobacco knowledge is secondary and not necessary. Keep reading that thread though and you'll soon have a pretty solid base knowledge about tobaccos, extractions, etc.

Blacks_n_Jacks, Jerms is right. With your insight, you don't need to be shy about posting anywhere you want. If you are posting, you can bet I'll be reading. You put me on the right path with your opinions and advice, and your insight and descriptions helped me a helluva lot. (I'm sure I'll be needing more advice soon, too.)

Yes, great explanation fellas. I'll get in there one day, for sure. There's been discussion on a certain banana tobacco in there I could chime in on, ha ha.

Do you make your own NETs too?

Banana tobacco, hmm? I have a mad love affair with Gorilla Juice. I notice Ahlusion has Jungle Juice... can you do a compare/contrast for me?

Sorry, I have surprisingly, not had Jungle Juice. I have this feedback coupon, though and it is next on the list.

I like bananas in general -- it, like apples, are just two ingredients that don't 'turn me on' vapewise, however.

I do like Gorilla Juice a lot. I do find it loses its luster with a long steep. My 14-month old bottle now has almost no resemblance to when I first received it. It's like I have 2 bottles of Boba's Bounty - which is fine with me, because I like it as well.

If I were a betting woman (and I like to gamble from time to time, LOL), I'd bet Jungle Juice will take the top banana tobacco spot for me; it will be authentic and I love Ahlusion's tobaccos.

Fangirl out!!

Blacks_n_Jacks, thanks for the break down. This is exactly what I was looking for :)

Regarding Maple Burley, I thought this might be the best one, but I just want to give my coils a break here. I assume that Maple Wild Wood would be easy on the coils relative to Maple Burley. Am I correct here?

Cheers!
