70VG and sweetened, Sorry :( I think your Maple Dream is going to need a long steep. You might want to try another sample in 50/50, unsweetened. If you can't wait. It really is an amazing flavor but I'm afraid the sweetener is covering the maple. Give it about 6 weeks to steep and the cream will come out and hopefully some of the maple will start to shine through, too. I've had one flavor, Raspberry Cream, sweetened, that was super sweet and I couldn't stand it but after 2 months it settled down and was amazing! I'm sure you're going to to be able to vape it and like it but it's going to take time before it is ready. With the higher VG it may take 3-4 months. Just don't give up on it. I just finished a bottle of Chocolate Cream that was over a year old and it was the best flavor I've ever vaped.

I really wish the website did a better job of explaining the sweetener option. Every flavor will taste the way it should. For example the Cherry Cola. Do you put extra sugar in a can of Cola? That's the best way I've come up with to describe it. Most flavors don't need sweetened. The old website only allowed us the option of adding sweetener to about 6 flavors so we didn't have to think about it. I do like the chocolates sweetened and the coffees. I can't stand sweetener in the black teas. I never thought I would like a black tea vape and I absolutely adore every one of them. They are wonderful. The Berries in Berry Shangri-La is delicious and I love the Pomegranate Black Tea not to mention the Caramel Pear Black Tea. You must try Caramel Pear Black Tea. It is a work of art and shows what Ahlusion does.

I just looked and my Piña Colada is sweetened. I like sweet but 2/3 of my favorites are unsweetened. Most get every sample unsweetened and stay that way. Some get everything sweetened since they started with Ahlusion when the option was available. Everyone has different tastes. You just have to find what works for you. Once you get to know the flavors you'll know which ones you want sweet or sweeter. :)

You're definitely set up perfectly to vape. Wlad will love to hear that. Be sure to mention all of it in your feedback. It goes into your profile, too.

I do that, too. Be sure to get Fijian Nights if you haven't tried it yet! Everyone has been talking about Bananas Foster lately. I've got to try that one.

Yes, bukket, those are the two that got me started on the banana thing, lol. They're tasty!

I think have have a thing with peach. It just does not come through good for me. I was hoping Ahlusion was going to be the breakthrough for peach flavor. I still do not taste it properly. This is the same as with other vendors' peach so it must be my tastebuds. Funny how it comes through beautiful for some and I can't get it to taste good for me.

The maples come through beautiful for me though, better than even the caramel. How funny tastebuds are.

Highbrow's Peach Thymbra with extra flavor is amazing in peach flavor.

:offtopic: angelphyre, you are a kindred spirit of sorts. I lived in Long Beach MS as a kid, until a cat 5 took our house and drove us to California. I returned there decades later and was astonished to find our friends still there and warm and lovely as ever. My dentist / neighbor / friend was still there and he greeted me with an enormous bear hug (nearly literally, since he's as big as a bear) when he saw me. Remarkable considering I was 8 when I left, and returned at 30-something. He remembered like it was yesterday. Anyway, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the MS Gulf Coast. And New Orleans, too ;)

Now back to your regularly scheduled program..

That's great advice. But, to accomplish that, I would have to vape no Ahlusions for at least a week or two, to get ahead. Therein lies my problem. I always end up tasting it fresh and then I cannot seem to restrain myself from continuing to vape it. Even FOOB, it's better than most of my other juices. Additionally, I'm in that "trying new flavors" stage with Ahlusions and you know how that goes.

Yes...yes I do. I have 8 30ml bottles of A+ juice. These were ordered in the last 30 days. Previous to that I had 2, Zing and Peachy Criminal. everything else I have/or tried is in 10ml to ferret out a list of faves.
In order to make room for new, I had to discard about a dozen old 10ml empties. I hated parting with them as they are great little bottles.

A hoarder would have a stroke :D

Wow that is insane customer service! Thanks for letting me know, I will definitely do that!

Yes, I'm a girl and I use a Mech! :)

Yes, that is what we do here. :) pssst, I think rabernet is Wlad incognito hiding behind a A+ juice cloud. Such a pitchman

From various ONLINE sources... "The tongue has 9000 taste buds" - "The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds" probably why you never see a catfish tuggin' on a Kayfun:)

"The number of buds varies from person to person. An adult has on average 9,000 taste buds and this affects the way the individual perceives the tastes. Some persons have maximum 500 buds. More buds means the individual perceives more types of taste."

"Taste becomes 'weaker' with the age." is this Reverse Steeping?

Anyway...
Glad to read the 'cakes ' need a bit longer steep. I've vaped my recent Strawberry Vanilla Cake and the more recent Blueberry Vanilla Cake, herefore known as SVC and BVC and they're ok but nothing makes them great yet. More steep time might change that.

Lime Cream on the other hand is WOW, FOOB. I mean AMAZING and does it get even better? I can't actually imagine that.

My latest FRANKENJUICE effort is adding Zing to some Lemon Cream. Some improvement, must play with percentages. Don't mis-understand Camp followers, Lemon Cream is dabomb, I'm just looking for more lemon, real lemon, like the lime is already real lime. :)

Ah, so you were here during Camille then. That was a bad one. I've been here since 89, so we went thru Katrina. Luckily I live above I-10, so just roof damage for me! Although my workplace was wiped out! I do love it here though. When we first moved here, we lived in an apt. in Long Beach. I love that's just a quiet little town. I live in Gulfport now, but I work in downtown Bay St. Louis, so I still get that quaint little hometown type vibe here! Plus my drive to work everyday takes me down Hwy 90 and I love looking at those beautiful homes and the water! It's nice and relaxing! This really is a great area to live! One of the best kept secrets! :D

And I love New Orleans too...I'm there every weekend! :)

Ok, hijack over! Go on about your business! :p

Yep, Camille she was, and she was no lady. Will never, ever forget that experience. We were only a couple of miles from our house, and more inland, at a friend's house. Lucky to have been where we stayed - only a branch through the roof. Next morning our home street looked very much like an atomic bomb had been detonated..

All of your descriptions are perfectly familiar to me, as well as the sentiment. Funny how highway 90 seemed the same, even after everything had been rebuilt. Thanks for replying. Made me smile huge :)

So yah, hijack over for reals ;)

Ok guys/girls, here's what I'm dealing with. I ordered the following from Ahlusion: 1 bottle of Contrary Cherry 70PG/30VG 18mg, 1 bottle Lemon Cream 70PG/30VG 18mg, and a bottle of Peachy Criminal as my sample (70PG/30VG 18mg). The juice was manufactured on April 15. Tied them all out of the mail, and hated the Contrary Cherry and Peachy Criminal. Tolerated the Lemon Cream, but did not like it. All of them are so harsh and rough! Almost like there is perfume in them or something. There is some kind of flavor/spice/etc. that is common to all 3 flavors, and it reminds me of a bad burning incense.

Let them all steep for a while and tried the Lemon Cream again this weekend (since I figured that's the one I liked the most, so I have the best chance with it). Same old story. Scorched rubber. Cheap perfume. Bad insence.

I really want to like this stuff. Is it normal for certain people to have an aversion to Ahlusion? Like I said, there's just something in the liquid (in all 3 of them) that doesn't seem to belong. Something not right.

Any suggestions/soultions are welcome.

Thanks.

Sorry to hear that.
I haven't tried any of those flavors, so I can't be sure, but your description is not at all common for any Ahl liquids. Every now and then we get someone on here complaining they don't like them, but it's rare. I guess it's possible that you got a bad batch. I know it happens sometimes. It's also possible that, yes, something used in the manufacture of these liquids doesn't agree with you. It's odd because those are three totally different flavors and there isn't any common thread between them that they should all share the same repulsive quality. I would highly recommend contacting Ahlusion and explaining it to them. I don't know if they would replace them for you but it's worth a try. Even if you have to pay for another bottle, of any flavor, I think it would be worth it just to know for sure if you get the same reaction. I don't think you'd have any trouble finding someone to take them off your hands.

Out of curiosity, what liquids were you vaping previously that you like?

I would suggest checking your vape gear. I'm not saying that it couldn't be that you got a bad batch and/or that Ahlusions is just not for you. But, I've never heard anyone have this kind of reaction to three very different flavors and their juices are honestly some of the best I have ever had. What really has me wondering is that you seem to be getting the same unfavorable profile from 3 very different flavors. What are using for equipment and what numbers are you running it at (ohms & volts OR Watts)?

Yes, I was thinking this too but neglected to mention it.
This could very well describe an overheated wick/coil, melting grommet, etc.
Especially if you're accustomed to higher VG blends. More PG = thinner liquid, and IME, easier to cook.

I haven't had an Ahlusions juice that I would even come close to calling "rough". Let alone the kind of result you're describing. I troll this Ahlusions' thread fairly thoroughly (and several others where they are often mentioned) and I can't recall anyone reporting a single instance of them putting out a "bad batch". I'd check that vape gear first and maybe have a friend that vapes try it on his/her rig too. My gut tells me that you've got a bad atty/carto or over-voltage situation going on. There are a lot of things that can go south with gear too. Insulators get melted, attys and cartos come defective from the factory, etc.

Your tag shows you as fairly new to ECF. If you are also relatively new to vaping, you might benefit from some attention from a vet that can look at what you're using and offer some feedback to you. Do you have any friends close to your location that also vape?

Yes, that's my standard ratio. My ADV is Blue Voodoo by MEL, which is known for its strong TH. But this stuff from Ahlusion is ROUGH !! Do you think there's something wrong with the batch?

I used the same vape gear that I use for other juices. I run 2.5ohm kanger/evod style coils at anywhere between 3.4V to 4.2V. Usually not higher than 4.0V. This is on a Protank 2. This last time, I dumped out the tank full of Lemon Cream down the drain, dissassembled the tank and washed it, washed the coil and let everythinf dry. After a few hours filled it up with Green Apple by MBV (30VG/70PG 18mg) and it vaped like a dream!

Did you also clean it and put a fresh atty in it before trying an Ahlusions' juice in it? It doesn't sound like your watts are unreasonable and getting good flavor with another juice makes me doubt that you have an equipment failure like I originally suspected.

It is also possible that your tastes simply don't work with Ahlusions. I have run into a few vendors (like VCV) that I just can't stand and others love them. I don't do MBV at all. So I have no idea how they would compare. Anyone else in here vape both MBV and A+?

I have 1 protank 3, 1 protank 2, and two protank 2 minis. Had them in both minis 2-3 weeks apart. Different atty. I have had an atty go out on me in the past, and I know what that tastes like. This is much worse than a burned out atty.

Never ever ever have I had any juice taste like this. I have had about a dozen flavors from MEL, about the same from MBV, and probably a dozen more from B&M shops. Nothing was as rough as Contrary Cherry, Peachy Criminal, and Lemon Cream.

I got my feedback from Ahlusion last week and I have been holding off on submitting it before I tried the flavors again this past weekend. Now I'm not sure whether to provide the feedback or just contact through the website.
