Soooo apparently a little patience is in order. Just tried the Apple Tarte Tatin after letting it sit for a week. Totally different liquid that seems like it will only get better in time.
I still wish it was a little more apple forward but really good now.
I must resist the rush to stockpile 60 ml's of my favorites. I think I need to give them all some time before I decide.
Also think my next orders will be unsweetened and 50/50.
Beautiful, complex and true flavors. This now tastes almost exactly like a Tarte Tatin I would make.
I feel a trip to the B&M aka Mecca in my future lol.

My Tarte Apple is at about 2 weeks and I am sitting on my hands waiting for it to get 3 weeks steep. Have Mango Lassi waiting with it

LOL, yes. Celery. Mark me down as one who tasted celery in CPBT. For me, I'm not sure that every really steeped out. I still think it's kind of weird, although many (for whom I have high esteem for their taste in A+ juices) love it a lot...
Yeah I think my mistake was my ratios and tasting the Bananas Foster first. Since that was such an in your face flavor foob I mistakenly expected the others to be the same.
Patience is not a strong suit for me but if this Tarte Tatin is an indication of what patience will get me, I am going to suck it up and wait.

I haven't heard all that much on people here's thoughts on the tarte tatins. (Thanks, COGamerGirl, for your thoughts! Glad to hear them!) I've been looking at them for quite a long time. Anyone else care to weigh in?
Oh, and in case anyone wants to know... In case of Zombie Apocalypse (I have kids in their 20's. This discussion can't be avoided.) I think I've decided on my two vapes. Boba Tea and Moonlight Serenade w/Breeze. Pretty sure all of you know how I feel about Boba Tea (unicorn tears, and all), but if you are looking for a mango or peach vape and haven't tried the Moonlight Serenade, you might want to give it a try. I'm very much in love with it right now.
Lol..it's been a thing for a long time that some people taste celery in the fresher CPBT. The consensus was that it goes away and I forget who 'solved' it but it seems to be that the taste of very fresh pear skin is in fact like celery.
I love the tarte tatins- peach and also pear now which I'm new to, I haven't tried apple as I'm not much on apples. I fell hard in love with the peach when I first had it; my favorite Ahlusion desert. I'm not good with descriptions but I love that I could taste the peach, the slightly buttery crust, the carmelized sugar and even the teench of lemon juice that should be in a good tarte tatin. Not peach pie like my grandma made but a peach tarte like you can have for dessert in one of the high end restaurants down town. I liked it young (as I like the pear I have) but I loved it with a month and more when it seemed like the flavors were perfectly balanced. It's one that I wonder at the sweeten option being offered for though- like, would you go to some chef's place and ask for extra sugar on your tarte tatin? Anyway it's one that reminds me strongly that Wlad has a fine dining background; it's a fine dining desert in a bottle. I can only imagine that if you like apples the apple version would have to be wonderful too.

I did my feedback thing and said I wished my Strawberry Banana had more flavor.
I got a response saying 'In the future we will make your Strawberry Banana with double flavor'
I then responded and said "can we just make all my AHL with dble flavor'
and I got this back
While we have added the notes to your profile, this cannot be applied to every flavor. The main reason is that with upcoming regulations ALL e-liquids will be uniform, plus any changes we've allowed were shared on forums resulting in hundreds of requests from random visitors. While we'd like to accommodate everyone's wishes, it simply cannot be done with the resources we have available.

hmm I hadn't thought about the proposed reg's in that light. They will have to document their ingredients and stick to them, I guess. So gone will be individual profiles? This won't affect me personally cos I told them that I prefer to taste them the way the geniuses intended, but wow

Yikes. Hadn't thought of that either. Loss of individual profiles would be terrible.
This whole FDA thing has been a lot to process. I wonder too the exact definition regarding free samples and whether that means handing them out at the store to random people or something more sinister like every sample which I would expect from the FDA.
Yesterday I recieved an email from Wlad in response to my question about clickable links from ECF to the Mother Ship not working. I'm not comfortable posting the email but it went into significant detail about Wlad's current views on these issues. Nor due I wish to point fingers at myself or anyone else.
So here is my own takeaway from the email:- The above thoughts from @P more accurately reflect his current views. Myself included, just dial it back a bit outside of this thread and continue the great job we all due with new folks who drop into this thread.
- His focus is not the number of sales but rather the QUALITY of the User experience
- The Forum "Hype" is a huge burden and he is trying to reduce the number of "impulse buys"
- His mission at the start was a portal for deployed Marines. This spread to family and friends. He never intended to cater to the masses or folks who never heard of AHL.
I'm reluctant to talk about the FDA regs in detail in this thread since ECF already has lots of threads on the issue and a call to action and analysis from CASAA is expected in a week or two. What I wish to say is:
The free sample is a revenue play and the letter and intent of the FDA legislation is reasonably clear on the issue. This issue, in the context of all the other provisions of the Draft FDA regs is small potatoes.
The financial burden (A "New" application) on a given ejuice formula/recipe is huge. As drafted, alter the formula/recipe for a single ejuice and a vendor must submit and pay a large sum of money for a "New" application.
I remain convinced that all of us have a reasonable chance of helping the connected in negotiating a more reasonable/favorable series of FDA regs during this comment period (which closes on 07/09/2014) and during the critical Congressional approval process. Most folks (myself included) are waiting for CASAA guidence before we submit comments.

I'm not good at descriptions like so many of the lovely folks here but I can say I will probably never be without the pear tarte tatin EVER in the forseeable future
I vaped it non stop last week and that is quite unlike me, as is ordering a 60 ml At my work we charge .01 for a beer sample bc due to the states laws we have to charge SOMETHING.
I will be sad to see flavor profiles gone as well
