Exciting day, my order just arrived. Wlad gave me a free 10ml bottle of dulce!!! However, i'm a little disapointed with the aromatics. The tobacco flavor is great in all of them! The only thing is, I don't taste any of the other flavors. For example, no vanilla in vurley, no maple in maple burley, no cherry in smokin cherries, etc... The flavors might be there but sooo faint. They all kind of taste the same. I knew they were gonna be tobacco dominant but I thought i'd at least taste the other flavors. Do you guys think that will change with steeping? I sure hope so!

ash..man, I'm trying out Ahlusion. I'm using an eGo-c Twist and a cisco 306 lr atty with a cannon drip tip. I have some VG/H2O plain no nic for 'cleansing'. Few drops until the last flavor is gone, etc.

One thing that is pretty solid is that tobacco flavors need more heat to bring out flavor and fruit flavors wash out or get burnt on high heat. I have the Apple House, Apple River Tree House and the Peach River Tree House flavors. I have more but this pertains to them. If I crank up the voltage to 4.0-4.2V, the tobacco flavor comes in strong with the fruit being just a note. If I go to 3.4-3.6V the fruit becomes prominent and the tobacco only a note. I can dial in the 'blend' so to speak.

One other thing you mentioned earlier on the 'ashtray' note on some of the non-aro flavors. Some of your other notes are real close to what I'm also tasting. One thing I noted early on in sampling is that IF you can find someone that is describing what you taste in a flavor, then there's a good chance that what that person likes, you'll like. It isn't 100% but I found someone who was getting the same notes off Janty RY4 - the piney, smoky, caramel cream with some other mystery note. :) Not everyone tasted that but the people that did and liked it, I also tried and liked other flavors they were vaping. Finding someone with the same 'palate' is much more important that reading all the fanboy exuberants of this flavor or that. Taste is subjective BUT when you find someone who tastes the same as you, then some "objectivity" or at least agreement enters in. That said....

I taste that 'ashtray' on almost all the non-aros at first and for a while. I've never been a fan of steeping and never had to with what I have vaped steadily for over two years - Decadent Vapours.... However, BWB Espresso does seem to gain flavor with some steeping so I haven't dismissed the idea out of hand (like I did ;) ) Ashtray is most evident for me on Gold Rising and I've had that open for a while now. I did taste it on Smooth Criminal and JG blend (a favorite now - check the avi ...) but that has dissipated now. Deal Maker still has some but less than at first. House Blend had very little, now gone. Vecchio - still has it, but again less than at first. I have all caps off, after reading this thread lol. Thanks Mr. Mann and others....

So.... IF the 'like palate' theory is true or a good guide, then there's a good chance you might like DV's Habana Reserve, Ylang Ylang and Real Tabs. :D ... and Absinthe if you like absinthe. Ahl.'s Blue Fairy isn't quite there for me, but it's steeping. DV's is a bit more complex and much like the drink.

Dropping into this thread to disclose a sinfully good combo I have just discovered:

Combine in a bottle or your favorite atomizer:
4 drops Vurley
2 drops Smokin Cherries
2 drops Sweet Georgia Peach

Vape. Swoon. Repeat.

Eek! I have Smokin Cherries, but no Vurley and just a minute ago dripped my last drops of SGP. I'm sure I'll have all three on hand one day to try that. SGP and Vurley together sounds amazing, vanilla peach aromatic........ WLAD!!!!!!

Awesome advice everyone thanks, I'm gonna build a new coil right now and re-try everything, maybe at lower voltages as well.

A good dry burn (three seconds or so with the button pressed while blowing on it, alternated with three seconds of rest) until all the black stuff on the coil turns white and ashy and can be gently scraped off usually does the trick for me. It only works on 32 gauge or lower for me though, because I always seem to end up popping thinner coils when I try to dry burn them.

Just a quick question to you Ahlusion vets. In some of the descriptions it says not recommended to use in tanks. I use a Protank so should I really not buy anything with that statement in the juice description or would it be ok?

All palates are different, some are similar..... but in my experience, Tabac BCC/Kanger T3 tanks are the closest to dripping I've gotten. And this is with flavors (DV), I've been vaping for going on three years now. I know these flavors. I know what wattage is best, what they taste like in dripping with 1.5, 1.7, 1.8, 2.0, etc. coils... with eGo-t's, eGo-c's, cartridges, cartos, stardusts, and the T3's and others. Some can taste the plastic, I don't. I can taste any filler in cartos, some don't. And some taste metal parts, I don't. Find out what affects your palate. Go with it, instead of the blurbs.

I've gotten into the Kanger eVod recently, which I'm guessing is a similar experience to the ProTank and T3, and agree with this sentiment. I've been a dripper for years, but used cartos on the go knowing their limitations and how much they effect flavor. I've tried a top coil clearo and found the flavor extemely muted. The eVod (and probably T3 and ProTank) are easily the closest experience, as far as flavor, to dripping for me. I would happily use Ahl juices in it.

I think Wlad just wants to make sure people are using a device that can pick up most the flavors intended for his juices.

Finding the right wattage is more important than the delivery device UNLESS the delivery device is imparting some other flavor... The Ahlusion flavors I've tried do pretty well across the wattage spectrum - one picks up more of the tobacco above 7-8W, and more of the side notes below that. BTW, as you may know, not all oem T3's or Evods are the same. Some vendors pack them with 1.8ohm coils (good prophets/heaven gifts) and some with 2.4-2.6Ω (and they can read 2.8 on the meter)(many other vendors). So you can really choke off tobacco unless you have the 1.8 coil or are on a VV device. Of course you can always get the replacement coils no matter what comes with the unit.... but if you know you're going to be vaping the stronger flavors you can save yourself a few bucks by getting an 'oem' 1.8Ω unit.

Well guys I've made my decision. I'm not crazy about the aromatics. I guess I don't really like the taste of tobacco after all. Trial and error lol. Anyone wanna trade, aros for non baccos? If so shoot me a PM.

Don't write off tobaccos just because you don't like the A+ aromatics. They are "manly" tobaccos and not everyone will like them.

Sorry to see they ended up not working for you! At least you gave them an honest try.

You may still like the taste of tobacco ejuice, just not Ahlusion's aromatics. I think it's fairly common for tobacco vapers not to like that specific line.

That's not what I meant, let me rephrase it :) The aromatics aren't for me, but i still love all of ahlusion's non aros, maple hb and smooth criminal in particular. I have smokin cherries, sweet georgia peach, vurley, cocoa blend, honey cured, and maple burley all in 70/30 pg/vg 12mg nic. All up for trade.
