Either I'm getting senile and forgetting what I've read (highly probable) or great minds think alike!

Nah, I didn't really elaborate enough. I posted something similar and then deleted it. I had posted that Wlad had 10x the flavors in his vault that he has online, but I quickly deleted it because of it was a gross understatement! LOL. It's more of a "think alike." (If I could only be so lucky. ;))

I think i figured out what the mystery ingredient is in smooth criminal, its hazelnut.

I've been on an all-day SC kick for about a week now -- with two-month-old juice -- and I'm pretty sure it's just tobacco and caramel and cocoa. But it may be all tobacco. I keep reminding myself that he does some freaky things with tobaccos.

These first couple quoted posts are from me and Shatner in the NT thread. We were talking about this very thing.

So it's just tobacco?

"Basically" is the answer I got. It may be something steeped in with the tobacco. But it's not maple, chocolate, honey, vanilla, graham cracker, or cocoa or anything along those lines. The one thing I didn't ask him was if it was some type of coffee-ish elements in it. I don't think that's it, but it's something kinda sweet and roasted.

The reason I know those flavors are not in there is that W and I played a game where he said if I could guess it he would tell me. I guessed about 20 total things and he just kept saying "nope." Then again, he has access to sooooo many extracts, it could just be something very hard to identify. You see how quickly the Cha-Yens and Yerba Mates went up on the site after TCP requested them? That's because in his vault he has more recipes and extracts than anyone could fathom (and that's a gross understatement). I am really serious.

I remember when I was convinced it was maple. I saw Wlad I said "maple" and by the time my voice got the the le of maple, I no longer tasted it.

Vanilla cream pie with graham cracker crust? Sometimes I get something like gingerbread. You are definitely right about steeping SC. At four months it has gotten good!

Fret I did :) I also went ahead and restocked on Peachy and Smooth Criminal. Another day for the aros.

I know how it is! It's a mixed bag when dealing with a vendor that isn't simply mixing pre-existing liquids, or even just macerating/steeping tobaccos. Well, it's not so much that it's a mixed bag, but we do have to deal with prep time differently than most buyers.

I'm really lovin smooth criminal and tiramisu. Those two are probably my favorites ATM. For the criminal, on inhale I get a very slightly creamy/nutty tobacco and on the exhale I get a very nougatty tobacco with a touch of cinnamon on the finish. Downright lucious. Tiramisu is really balanced, i taste the chocolate, coffee, and even the lady fingers. I got it unsweetened and it's addicting at night after dinner.

Smooth Criminal plays in two different ways for people. For some (the minority it looks like) it's straight-up sweet tobacco and for others it contains notes of multiple things. Cinnamon and some type of nut seems to be the most common. Also have seen maple, honey, nouget, chocolate, and even strawberry. I think only lovely Hawaiian woman detect strawberry notes though.

Speaking of strawberry, I picked up a package of them at the supermarket the other day. I love strawberries, and even bad ones are good, but these were definately on the bad side. Since when are strawberries almost the size of apples?? Some of them even had what I would call a core! I prefer my strawberries regular sized. And the redder the better. And the sweeter the neater. And the juicier the... ummmmm... juicy is good too.
