If it's filled with some Ahlusion juice....sold! :)

That actually brings me to a question for everyone. I've never vaped any cola or soda type vapes before...but I am getting kind of curious about the Cherry Cola, and I'm definitely getting Sasparilla when its available, Is there a Vanilla Cola by chance? That sounds kind of good to me right now...as a vape (not beverage) :). Any thoughts there? Maybe from anyone who has tried the Cherry Cola or other Ahlusion cola flavors?

I love love the cherry cola.... asking Wlad about a vanilla cola is on my eventual to-do list. (If he hasn't blacklisted me by then, for asking about off-menu stuff all the time.)

Unfortunately, I've been vaping 50/50 for a few weeks now, and when I tried to vape some of my 70pg/30vg cherry cola it's incredibly harsh to me now. I don't think I can vape 70/30 anymore. Luckily there's probably less than 10ml left in the bottle, so it's not too much of a waste. I am really happy with my 50/50 juices now. I don't know why I was so concerned about TH before, I've found that I don't want nor need it.

Gotta re-up that cherry cola in 50/50 asap!

Speaking of cola...I almost hate to say this, but I'd love to try a Pepsi and milk juice. I know, I know. I can't help it, blame these two...

I remember trying that after seeing it on the show and thinking "OH, HELL NO!" or whatever the 9 or 10 year old equivalent saying was. I then dumped the rest down the sink and had Laverne&Shirley nightmares for the next decade. I would wake in a cold sweat with a horrible taste in my mouth

Thanks, Scarf-ace!

I started out with classical when I was young, then moved onto Jazz (which is my favorite). I have been playing at my Pentecostal church since 1986 - and we have a band there - keyboard player, piano, drums, guitar, bass and saxophone - we play mostly upbeat black urban gospel and contemporary Christian music.

At home, I play Jazz (although I play wherever my mood leads me at the moment). I've been thinking about re-visiting classical lately, as I've not played it in quite some time now.

I knew you were cool. ;) How about some Mingus? Yeah, Mingus!

I've tried two colas from two non-Ahlusion vendors -- one was 'meh' and the other was 'bleccchhhhh.' I haven't given up on the concept though, and will try Ahlusion's out at some point.

It's probably been decades since I had it (or watched Laverne & Shirley for that matter!), but I remember thinking that stuff was the cat's meow!

It appears the River Tree Blend liquids are the poor relations of the A+ tobacco line. Even their maker steers people away from them. That's a real shame because Maple River Tree blend is a really tasty and approachable slightly sweet tobacco. It has just enough maple to soften the edges of a bright but basic tobacco. I know this isn't a NET but THAT IS OK LOL. This is not as complex as some tobaccos, to be sure. But it's extremely satisfying and has a faint nuttiness that complements the maple. (Don't worry, this isn't "mystery nut" that leaves a greasy feel in the mouth, it's just an undercurrent.)

I would especially recommend this to new vapers for three reasons:
1) the throat hit is really something; and
2) it tastes great right out of the bottle; and
3) the sweetness is appealing, not cloying, and the juice as a whole is well-crafted. (This is A+ we are talking about.)

I've already vaped a clearomizer-full of this and it is rather addictively tasty. I plan to keep vaping it while I wait for my other A+ tobaccos to mature. I'm even tempted to try the cherry and peach versions;)

In any other vendor's line, this would be the star tobacco of the range.

I have very limited experience with the Apple River Tree Blend, and no experience with the other River Tree Blends. I thought ARTB was respectable, although I'm eagerly awaiting a bottle of Apple House Blend, for which I have higher expectations. The tobacco base in ARTB reminded me a little of the Vermillion River's tobacco base -- not mind-blowing, but probably still better than at least 75% of the tobaccos I've tried. Despite the caveat, I think a lot of people who like tobaccos but haven't taken it to the extremes that some of us here have would probably like the River Tree Blend line (if ARTB is representative of the rest of line), although I would probably steer anyone who is curious about Ahlusion tobaccos toward anything with "House" or "Criminal" in the title.

"Taken to extremes"? Whatever do you mean, Tez?:lol::lol:

No, I completely understand what you mean. A more seasoned tobacco vaper would surely like House or Criminal better (I am taking the word of people on this forum whose opinions on such matters I trust, like you) but I still say a beginner would benefit from the uncomplicated approach of the RTBs. Call them "gateway tobaccos" if you will;)

Mr.Mann was kind enough to send me a small package of two Ahlusion natural extract tobacco juices---a 4ml sample of Smooth Criminal and a 1ml teaser of Blue Grass Burley. Thanks, Mr.M! The first one's free, eh? (I hope that veiled reference is sufficient for the comic punchline intended; making it more obvious is not allowed here.) Or, in this case, the first two are free. LOL.

Over my two years of vaping, I’ve been mostly a tobacco guy. Yes, I also vape coffees, sweets, and fruits, but tobacco has been my mainstay, in all its variations from straight tobaccos through the myriad blends with sweeter ingredients added (RY4s and the like).

Although I’ve had some darn tasty juices made with synthetic tobacco flavorings, I prefer naturally extracted tobaccos and have followed their development with great interest. By and large, NETs taste better, in my experience. It’s that simple. In some ways, they actually get closer to fulfilling the carrot-and-donkey promise of great flavor that smoking tobacco was supposed to provide but never really delivered. Or did so with horrible downsides. The very best NETs are utterly wonderful vapes if one likes the flavor of real tobacco, and the availability of new and even better NETs is growing by leaps and bounds with each passing season.

I’m fortunate to have vaped many (a majority I’d imagine) of the NET tobacco juices in the retail marketplace. The list of good ones is far too long to detail here. Many of this thread’s denizens already know them all. My most recent favorites are two Frankenjuice blends---different NETs by the same vendor mixed together. Both are 50/50 mixes. The first is Natural Perique/Organic Tobacco #1 from GoodEJuice (christened Symphonie Fantastique by our cohort scarf-ace), while the second is Tobacco Haze/Conspiracy from Mom&PopVaporShop (recommended by the hangdude). They’re terrific.

Well, Smooth Criminal and Blue Grass Burley are at least on a par with those two, and just about any other NETs I have in my stash. For my particular palate, they might even be a bit superior. And that’s saying something, given how good Symphonie Fantastique is.

Smooth Criminal is certainly what the first half of its name states---a smooth, relatively light blend of tobacco varietals with just enough natural sweetness, but seemingly unadulterated by any wayward flavors. There may be non-tobacco concentrates used in the recipe profile (I don’t actually know), but they’re so well-blended that they don’t call out their names, instead performing quietly in the supporting background roles for which they were intended here. Great stuff.

As good as Smooth Criminal is, however, Blue Grass Burley is even better. I’ve had numerous Burley-based vapes along the way, and I have to admit that Burley is not at the top of my list of favorite varietal tobacco flavors (I’m a Turkish lover, and you can keep your Virginian). That said, Blue Grass Burley is downright amazing. Even though the core flavor is not technically one I love, the presentation here is astonishing and wins me over completely. The overall taste is ripe, round, and complex, and the natural sweetness shines through deliciously. BGB is the hands-down winner of the Burley Sweepstakes.

I’m undecided yet as to whether I’ll order a larger bottle of Smooth Criminal. I currently have nine liters of juice on hand, and I’m also knee-deep into DIY juice-making---I just created a Sesame Cake that's to die for... Basically, I need to buy more retail juice like I need another hole in my wallet. Even so, Blue Grass Burley is definitely at the top of my brand-spanking-new and already too-large Ahlusion Wish List. Given how good BGB is, I’m a goner for a sizable order that will have to include Devil Dog!, among numerous others.

If I end up bankrupt and living in a carboard box down by the bridge, I'll blame you, Mr.Mann. Thanks again!

Fellow Ahlusionati, let me tell you how not to place an Ahlusion order.

Last Cyber Monday I logged in to place a reorder for CPBT and Vecchio Blend but in my haste I must've put the wrong expiration date in for my credit card. When I placed the order a notice popped up, something along the lines of,

"There has been a ccv error. Please do not resubmit your order or your bank may place two charges on your card. Your order has been declined. Please contact your bank, etc."

I'm paraphrasing from memory but you get the gist. So I call my bankcard center, (after seeing the pending charge on their website) and the lady tells me that the charge was approved so not to worry. I say fine, then go on my merry way the rest of my busy week working a 12hr shift, until yesterday it dawns on me I've received no update on my order via email.

Then I log onto Ahlusion and check my order which has a status of declined. I log onto my CC website to see the charge is on my card, not pending, but listed under charges. So I fire off an email to Wlad and off to bed. When I awaken that afternoon I find a response from Wlad saying, "Most banks see the transaction coming through (whether declined or not) and they put a hold on the funds in case they approve it. They usually release it within 24-48 hrs. Not all banks differentiate between holds and actual charges and simply list them all as charges. If your order was declined then no further processing will take place on our end in regards to your order."

I call the CC center again as as I'm talking to a gentleman I realize looking at the website that the charge is no longer listed. It must've been removed while I slept. I return to Ahlusion and very carefully reorder but add a bigger bottle of the Vecchio Blend with strong tob. Five days behind the ball but hey, it was all my fault and at least my 15% discount was still active.

Lesson of the story for me... take your time when you check out and try not to shop after working a 12hr night shift.

Gotta say, I'm loving the VB. After 2 weeks (I think) the vanilla has receded a bit and the tobacco seems to be a bit more upfront. Perhaps the strong tobacco option will nail it for me.

cheers

Hey Scarf, the River Trees are NETs, but they are not "based" on Ahlusion extracts. How it all works out is kinda wonky and beyond my vape grade, but it is designed by wholesaler, but Wlad is its maker. It is made by Ahlusion, but with someone else's recipe. APparently, at some point and somehow, some customers tried it and wanted more so Wlad obliged them.

That would be great, but I'm usually at work then. I'm a teacher. I don't/can't get my cell phone out then, but I do appreciate the offer!

Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2

You are an hour before me, so if you get off at, say 5:30 or so, that will be 4:30 here and they will still be open. I can send you a reminder at the very least.

Glad you were able to sample those, bill. I felt terrible about sending such a small sample of BGB, but it was my last mL and I figured you could at least try something that may have not been on your radar. I also didn't want to send it in its original bottle cause that would've made that mL look even less and it would've effectively been an even worse tease. ;)

I'm starting to find out just how much better some of these juices taste after a much longer steeping time. My example being Sweet Surrender. I love how flavorful this juice is and my 10 ml sample was gone in about 2 weeks and then I ordered a 30 ml bottle. But there were times vaping it when it would have a harsh taste or a different flavor would be in the forefront. I remember Daniele trying to pick out flavors from the sample. Then I got on a Chocolate Cream kick and vaped it mostly but still tasting all the other flavors but not vaping them for long before going back to CC.

Before Black Friday I decided to refill all my carts and tanks to get a good idea of what I wanted to reorder. My Sweet Surrender was 6 weeks old at that time and it is absolutely the best fruit vape I have ever tasted. There is no picking out flavors here. They have all melded into one super flavor that I have not been able to stop vaping. Even my beloved Chocolate Cream has taken a back seat. The down side is that I've almost vaped it all and I am 6 weeks out from that same wonderful taste. It won't happen again. I'm keeping enough in stock to make sure I don't run out! And I have lots of wonderful flavors to keep me company during the wait.

Also, keep in mind that I vape 70PG/30VG so it may take longer for the flavors to smooth out.

Hey B5, I feel you! Last night when I decided to pop on my new EM attys, I gave my Caramel Apple another go. What in the world is this? Where is the juice that I was luke warm toward? Seriously?! This juice is sooooooooo damn spot-on and the caramel apple is exactly as Wlad described: like the first bite of a caramel apple when you get more caramel than apple. I love that first bite and I love this vape. I will always strongly recommend people hold onto those juices that they may not like/love for at least 2 months. This juice was born on 9.28 and today is the 12/1. So stoked that I kept this one!

This may be good with a tobacco base! Hmmmmmmm

Mr.M,

Don't give it a second thought. I'm happy that you were able to send me even 1ml of one of the best eliquids I've ever tasted. Blue Grass Burley is truly extraordinary, and I might never have tried it otherwise. I don't think I could vape a lot of BGB---it's just altogether too much for ordinary, everyday use. But that's OK. If I were a wine-connoisseur, which I'm not---heck, I'm not even a wine drinker, since alcohol has never been my drug of choice---but if I were, I wouldn't chug the most special wine from my cellar with every meal, either. A good, solid table claret would do just fine for that, something equivalent to Smooth Criminal or any of the other 75 juices in my melangerie of most yummy daily vapes that sit loaded up and ready to go at my desk and bedside.

Thanks again for your kindness, generosity, and friendship. I guess I'll have to start hanging out on this thread, to learn the skinny about all of Ahlusion's juices.
