Nerds- I am not "getting" the v-mod........
Went through some of those threads - initially I was scared of squeezing too much... then I think I heard that slurping sound - so prob squeezed too much - but still dont see a "leak" - I am not good with atty's never took to dripping - could never get the right amount in there - then worrying about dripping more - Im sure it takes practice and I wont give up - but I am sad my Ole does not taste like Ole in this thing.........bummer!

:(:(:( I feel bad for you. I never did even try dripping....I knew what a screw up I would make out of it. So do not feel like the Lone Ranger. I have enough problems figuring out how to fill my tanks....and that is relatively easy.

Wishing you success.

I can help you out to the best of my ability, but honestly, Tex is much better at explaining vape-techniques (and I somehow managed to break 2 bottles in two weeks).

Hahaha thanks and BTW I was using the term nerds- as in "awwwww schucks"- NOT calling anyone a nerd- I just came back to see if this lovely team saw my sadness- read what I wrote and thought???????

I know you can use cartos too - which I am totally used too (sadly)- but the convenience of filling them and knowing I dont have to worry about it for a while is just so easy to me..... I did get the ce4's from Wlad - using on the twist and hoping I get the hang of this little v-mod! Seems cool - but making me feel a bit moronic!

What's wrong with nerds, huh? All the cool kids wear pocket protectors.

So, I just bought a ZAP. I'm going to play with that for a while, but all this talk of squonking has me quite intrigued. Do I need a V-MOD or will a REO do just as well? I must admit, that V-MOD on the Vapage site is looking pretty schmexy. I wonder if they sell an attachment for my Darth Vader helmet?

Nerd-up!

I chose the VMOD 2.0 simply because they were having a 50% off sale. I couldn't say no to that, but I was looking at REOs prior to that. I've never seen anyone say anything negative about them. They seem to be the Provaris of bottom-feeders.

That being said, I am perfectly content with my VMOD! :)

so i have my lids off for two days now..put caps back on and shake the bottles whenever i remember to...so now the big question is how long do i have to wait until i vape??...i have the provari mini and i'm thinking of buying a bottom feeder....any suggestions anyone??

Scratch that itch when you can reach its location! The steeping will happen whether you are vaping it or not -- just don't vape the whole bottle in one day!

No offense taken on the 'nerd' thing -- I wear it proudly! As for the flavor, some atomizers require a little break-in while the coil oxidizes. This can take minutes or days, depending on what you're using. With dripping or squonking, you should be getting the purest flavor, since poly-fil in cartos traps some of the suspended particles in juice.

Since the VMOD is fixed voltage (4.2v on a fresh battery), the atomizer's resistance and quality dictates the flavor/vapor/throat hit. I think low-resistance atomizers (anywhere from 1.5-2.0 ohms) give the best flavor and vapor. I like a hotter vape, so I typically go 1.5 or 1.7, and I like 306 atomizers (these require an XL 306 drip tip for use on the VMOD). That's just me, though. And it should be noted that while low resistance brings out more flavor in most juices, it over-powers some. While I use most of my juices in the VMOD, there are a few that I actually like better on an old 3.4v eGo battery.

Cartomizers will also work on the VMOD (like the Silo cartomizer that came with your kit), and should require a little less frequent squonking, but I'm not a cartomizer guy. I'm guessing you would want to keep an eye on the poly-fil and squonk to the point were it is saturated, but not flooded. The atomizer that came with the VMOD is decent -- not the best, but certainly not bad. A lot of people like the Shifu Slant-Coil Hybrid atomizers that Vapage sells.

A little gurgliness on the VMOD from over-squonking won't hurt anything, and you can just burn a little off or vape through it. I've gotten a feel for squonking it and I squonk to the point where there's just a little gurgling, but it's not flooded. Squonking doesn't require you to push the bottle all the way in or anything. I usually only depress it about 2 or 3 mm or so. And when the atty starts to get a little dry, give it another squonk. Stick with it and stay patient -- you'll get the feel for it soon, and it may help to read through the instructions again.

I actually prefer the VMOD to the REO for a number of reasons. REOs are incredible, but if I owned one I would be afraid to take it out because I wouldn't want to scratch the finish or anything. The VMOD can take a beating and if the shell gets trashed, you can just buy a new one for $20 or $30 (or cheaper on sale). The other gripe I have with the REO is the drip cup system that it uses. It fills with liquid when you squonk it, and liquid is pulled up into the atomizer through the little holes at the bottom. If it's full and you tilt it, liquid will drip out of it onto your shirt or whatever. I can vape my VMOD in any position or throw it in a pocket, and I don't have to worry about any leaks. It comes down to personal preference, but for me I'll take a VMOD any day.

During my absence and subsequent catching up, I saw a few posts about some unhappy customers and advice seekers on getting help with Ahlusion juices. So this is just a bit of a tiny rant about that (not anything deep here, just needing to write this):

While there are not many of you, there is and always will be a few. The thing is, when you come to this thread and ask for advice about juice, aside from the typical steeping advice, NO ONE can "fix" your problem (except, maybe, Wlad). No one juice or vendor is for everybody and netiher is this thread. We like to comiserate on flavors we like or don't, but getting "help" on juice (you already purchased) is a little goofy. Maybe telling us your likes and dislikes can help us point you to the right juice, but this is not some new fangled Genesis atomizer here, it's juice. I know the impulse with the forum is to seek out tips and things, but hardware this ain't! If you dislike Ahlsuion and their juices, PIF them, sell them, or move on; but don't expect that somehow anybody here can provide you with a secret juice delivery system that is going to magically reveal what we get. If you are not digging Ahlsuion's flavors, well, you know what they say about taste: some people got it and some don't! :D

I am of the mindset that pound for pound, Ahlusion is the best juice vendor for customization, flavor options, flavor clarity, CUSTOMER SERVICE, and many other things that would make my usage of commas look excessive!

Chin up lil boo-boo..eventually you will get the hang of it. Use what others say only as guides to nudge you in the direction and then take it from there.

When you get a little slurpee...hold it upright and give the bottle a couple of taps to suck some of the juice down. The v-mod does have a little bit of a learning curve, but all of us that have a new mod or device have definitely been there. Don't give up and don't let it intimidate you. I had the most problems with the v-mod when I was trying to overthink it. Now it's just squonk and vape...no thought needed..but occasionally I still get juice mouth...I have had the leaky bottle..I have had the dry ~gag~ vape. It happens..and trust me, it happens to us all. If anyone says "never had a problem", they are either extremely lucky..or fibbing like a toddler that broke a window ("Mommmeeeeee, I didn't do dat..I pwomise!!"). That's YOUR mod!! OWN IT!!! Don't let it own you!!!

Above all..have fun with it. :)

Wishing you all the best,

Okay, so I couldn't wait on Mimosa! I am not really ready to "review" it (nor am I ever really ready), but I can say that this flavor is truly awesome. The juice is crystal clear (think water) and the flavor is totally champagne with fruit (I got stronger champagne). If you dig OLE!, you probably would dig this. I think I have found the juice that I will play with in the "profiling" department. I would love to try this with different aspects amplified, added, omitted, or accentuated. I am giving Mimosa the green light for anyone that has even considered it!

p.s. If what I have is stronger champagne, I would advise getting it. I don't know if my juice was profiled, but my code is 17870. (I love being able to offer my code...tell me another vendor that can do that kind of thing!!!!!!)

K- I'll own it - or sell it - hahaha! But not this quick :)

Could I have ruined that darn atty that came with it?- by being afraid of the "smoosh" Maybe I will try the carto that came with it if it still tastes the same throughout the evening!

I wont quit- but I keep trying to vape it and it keeps tasting gross- haha! and I keep thinking - my god I dont vape this much - what the hell are you doing- put it down- hehehe! It's quite funny!

Ahlusion juice wise - I am finding myself reaching for certain flavors that I MUST buy in larger bottles:
Caramel Pear Black Tea
The Cantalberry Ice

Even the kiwi sea- which I thought might be a tad too sweet - seems to be mellowing in that dept. and I am reaching for it way more often than I thought I would! Big bottle- maybe!

SO happy with my juice!
