Hi Lauren! I went ABD last spring, and I've probably got 2 or 3 years to go (hopefully 2), but partly because I'm simultaneously working on an MA in another discipline (Art History MA -- my PhD will be in Anthropology, more specifically Archaeology) on a totally different topic in a different region -- glutton for punishment, I guess!So what did you get your PhD in?
Are you having any luck with the VMOD?
I was a glutton for punishment too MA was is Counseling Psych and PhD is in Instructional Technology/Distance Education.... I taught at a college - helping professors and students from all over the country get their MA's through their "long distance Master's programs".
A good friend of my family was an archeologist - digs in Egypt you name it - really fascinating women! Cool cool stuff!
Vmod sits unused- I said I would own it - but have a fear of not it but disappointment.... so I will - just havent yet! Will try the other tip/ that carto included instead of the atty included and see if that works any differently. Thanks for inquiring

That sounds like a tough job, but an interesting field, especially in light of the ways that learning in the university setting is changing.
Yeah, digging's a lot of fun! I had an open invitation to work in Egypt, but was never able to make it happen. I mostly work in Mexico and do more interpretation than actual digging. I like to let other people do all the hard work and bring me the nice stuff!
I was thinking, it might help to boil that atomizer that came with your VMOD. Sometimes that helps with the oxidation process, and it could remove any nasty flavors that you got from it. I've been using one of those AMG Hybrid slant-coil atomizers that Vapage sells, and I've been pretty pleased with it so far. It's producing pretty good flavor.

Ah... yep. It has a lot to do with that. Plus, instead of one of his feet, Tezcatlipoca has a smoking mirror, and I always thought that was really cool (and perhaps somehow appropriate for vaping discussion too)! Way more interesting than that "muscular bearded guy in a toga" thing that the Greeks and Romans had going on, if you ask me. And when you get to the point where you can say it 5 times fast, you really feel like you've accomplished something!
I'm still trying to figure out DirtyPaws, though!

Yeah..but it's the juice from hell with coffee...Peppermint Mocha...that sounds good, but no matter how I spin it, I just CANNOT vape coffee and mint. It just makes the back of my tongue roll up.

You know..aside from the occasional snarky comment...ECF as a whole has a pretty civilized group. Yes..fanboys abound..but compared to alot of forums out there...I have seen a helluva lot worse. Yes fanpets abound, but I don't have the urge to reach through the screen and choke people on this site yet. That has to be a good thing.
I wish Ahlusion was in Georgia. I swear, that would be my go-to for places to enjoy. Well..at least I have this thread to prowl around on...

Yeah, the mods do a really good job of keeping it clean and civil here. I was initially opposed to the censorship (as I am occasionally prone to letting the expletives fly) when I first started out, but after reading through some other vaping forums, I can honestly say I'm grateful that the mods keep everything at a respectable level here.

With my last order, I got some various fruit and tea liquids with mint added to see what was what with that. (Stardust, Luna Fortuna, Cantal Berry Ice, and Ginger Apple Tea) My reasoning was: I love fruits, I love mints, and I'm really finding my niche with sweet and "fresh" type vapes, so it seemed like I couldn't go wrong.
Well, I should have maybe tried the mint in one juice first. My mistake. I can't remember who it was upthread that said when they vape mint+fruit, the mint seems to cancel out everything else, but that's exactly what I've now found to be true. All of these juices seem low on flavor, mostly mint, and they taste very similar to each other, with minor variations.
This is my own fault, I really should have tried the mint in just one juice first. Oh well, live and learn. I'd like to revisit the mint issue in the future with a flavor bump, too see if that can compensate. And they don't taste bad by any means, just not as vibrant as I've gotten spoiled by. I'd even say that if I had received these juices before I tried anything else from Ahlusion, I'd be pleased with them. But now I'm spoiled.
There is an upside, however! Most of these juices have very little odor. So I've found something to vape for my upcoming torturous car trip.

I'm a fairly new Georgian. Still haven't met a vaper, and no vape meets around here.
That might have been my gripe with Jade Dew that you read about 4000 pages ago. I'm actually vaping it right now and I can say that the mint will calm down with time, but it still overwhelms my sense of taste. I'm left with a pleasant, muted mint flavor. It's quite good and I will probably reorder, but I don't taste much of the tea coming through.

I REALLY want a green tea without mint.
