I love that show so much, it's one of only a few I actually looked forward to and bothered to watch. Well, my satellite provider got into a slap-fight with AMC over a stupid rate hike, and they ended up dropping them. GRRRRR! I sent a VERY STRONGLY worded letter to Dish Network, expressing my displeasure. Yes I did! I'm sure they were feeling the sting of that one for a while!

No but seriously, I'm really bummed out about it. I would have paid extra for the stupid channel.

/off-topic rant

Just got an email from DISH tonight that I'm sure will make you happy!:

Dear Laura,

DISH is pleased to announce that we have reached a multi-year agreement with AMC Networks, which has restored AMC on channel 131.

All customers will be able to enjoy AMC in free preview on channel 131, and for fans of The Walking Dead, the first episode of the season will be available on-demand for a limited time*. Please check your channel guide for a complete listing.

We appreciate your patience during this time and thank you for being a valued DISH customer.

Sincerely,

DISH

Hi everyone,
My first batch of Ahlusion has been steeping eight days now (Honey Blue, Strawberry Shortcake, Zombie Repellant, Rick's Request). I tried the Honey Blue today and it's very tasty although the honey is almost too rich for me to vape it very long. Still, an excellent flavor. i also tried the Strawberry Shortcake and it's nice as well although a bit too much strawberry for me, not enough whipped cream (think i should have gone for the SVC which i will next time).
I know they probably all still have a little ways to go, but can someone tell me what's up with Rick's Request?? When I first opened it to steep it smelled (and tasted) like rosewater. Now it smells like some kind of medicinal perfume. Strange stuff! For anyone who has tried it, how long did in need to sit before it magically transformed into what it's supposed to be?
Thanks much :)

I left mine uncapped (meaning the dropper portion off) for a couple weeks. At first I thought that the flavor was probably the most chemically tasting, if the not the only flavor that tasted that way from A+ (my new abbreviation for Ahlusion). Now, I think the flavor is decent. I don't particularly like it, but I will vape it. I think that specific flavor combination is a tricky one to nail in ejuice. I also think it could probably stand to be a little sweeter.

Mine was pretty good after about two weeks, but the raisin was so overpowering and rich, that I put it away in favor of some other flavors I liked a more. I think it was Mr.Mann who recently mentioned how much his changed with steeping , so I pulled it back out a few days ago -- wowza, what a change! A little creamy, a little spicy, the raisin is still a bit top-heavy, but it has calmed down quite a bit.

So I'd say.... 6 weeks. Sorry!

Yeah, I forgot to mention that after the two weeks uncapped, I still steeped it much longer. After writing my last post, I was vaping RR at the time, I am left now feeling like I have raisin breath . It's a bit on the dry side BTW. I think it is an interesting flavor, but I will probably have it for quite some time.

Hey guys can someone help me, i went on the ah lusion website and tried to order but wasnt able to, it said closed now, is there any certain time of operations when they are open or are theyy closed??
Hey shawnski, they're in the process of opening new facilities right now, so they're only opening for orders when they have the ability to put them out in a timely fashion. Keep trying, it's worth it! I don't think it'll be too much longer before they get back to full capacity. In the meantime, if you watch this thread, someone usually gives a heads up when they catch them open.

Twilight Zone time! I just went into the living room and before I could even see what was on the TV, I saw something on the bottom of the screen that read "vapor." It is an infomercial (the long ones that run as a television show) that is about "Alternacig" or something like that. Oh bother! That stuff makes me a bit nervous, but it's kinda cool, but it's completely terrible!

It's definitely time to go to bed when ecig infomercials are running!

I saw that the other day! Of course I had to watch.

I don't know how they get away with calling it 'water vapor.'

Oh, the Super Shorty ain't cold! hahahahaha

I will take a picture of my custom glass tip tomorrow if anyone wants to see. It is remarkably beautiful, but glass, for me, is best for drinks.

p.s. With my SS potbelly DT, I love the contrast from the cold(er) steel next to the hot vapor.

I'm right there with you. I use my metal tips because of that cold feel contrasting the warm vapor. I got a metal composite demascus tip from Brett (Bullboxmods) that doesn't get quite as chilled, but that is the furthest that I can stray away from my steel tips.

Please do! I love glass tips! I also love glass tanks (gives best flavor IMO), however, I just get tired of fooling with them and the sometimes mess, and the syringes, etc. So I usually stick with the quickest and easiest - rebuildable mini nova's and stardusts (and direct dripping to first try new flavors)

Funny you should say that. I just spent 45 minutes clearing out my clearos. I got bored after a while so to help them dry burn at 4+ volts on my Twist, I decided to just take the blasted tip off and take some pulls without inhaling to get rid of any old reisdual flavor. DUH! Now I have a blisthter on the end of my tongue tho I won't be thaying mucth thith evening...HOWEVER - the residual juice did have a lot more flavor though:D

This just in: All that talk about drip tips got me thinking about when they are not simply aesthetic. I have a drip tip (super shorty) that I never used (I got it free and forgot about it). I also have been thinking about how the further away from the heating element I am, the less I taste the juice. I have a big glass tip that I am going to sale because it causes the vapor to be cooled down far too much and it gets me so far away from the heat that by the time I get the vapor, the flavor is absent.

Enter the Super Shorty! Today I have been using this tip with my CS Aero 510 and being that close to the heating element allows me to turn my voltage down to 3.3v while not reducing the vapor, but very much reducing the drain on the battery. Also, being so close to the heat provides a much better flavor and intense hit! What I decided to do next changed my opinion on something I said earlier. I decided to give Caramel Apple another crack. As it turns out, I do taste the apple! As Wlad put it earlier in an email, the juice was literally designed to taste like the first bite of a caramel apple (where you get more caramel than apple). While I do still long for more flavor (probably the atty, but maybe the juice), I don't think the apple is absent anymore.

It's so funny you mention this! I was one of the people who said they didn't like metal drip tips...except I have this exact same one, and this is the ONLY metal tip I use, and honestly...its the only other tip I use at all now outside of my stone tips. And I don't have any of the issues I mentioned with other metal tips like I do with this one...I love my shorty!!

Oh...and to your comment on liking the contrast of the cold(er) steel next to the hot vapor...I bet that exactly one some of the stone tip peeps said to try putting those tips in the freezer for a few and then vaping with it...and that apparently its a really cool experience (no pun intended). I haven't tried it yet though

I actually can't stand acrylic and plastic drip tips, especially when they have seam lines. I like a really warm vape, and actually got an acrylic drip tip so hot that it broke apart once. I don't care for anodized aluminum or chrome either. I'm agnostic on glass. I can tolerate delrin tips because that's what I have to use with 306 atties on my VMOD, but given the choice, it's stainless, ceramic, and tru-stone all the way for me.
