Hi fellow Ahlusionites......I have been vaping Ahlusion in my Kanger T3 tanks now for 3 weeks...

My very brief take on some....I still have more to try. These are 50/50 6 mgs. Vaped on a new black Ego Epower 18650.

The Smooth Criminal and Desperado are two of the tobacco juices I ordered and have vaped. I like them both...with Desperado being favored due to stronger taste than Smooth Criminal. I have also vaped and love the Kona Kick and the JG Blend...both nice smooth coffee tastes with no chemical overtones. The two I have vaped and do not care for are the Carmel Pear Black Tea and the Carmel Coffee. So I have decided, I do not particularly like carmel for vaping even though I can sit and eat a bag full of Kraft caramels in one sitting.

I still have a four flavors I have not tried. I will report later on those. Sorry I cannot get more descriptive...I just do not taste all the things a lot of reviewers do. Do people really get one taste on the inhale and another on the exhale? And subtle tones of flavors...and nuances? My taste buds are not that complex. All I get is a certain taste which either I like or I don't.

Will be back another time with another riveting report on the four I have not tried yet. Until then, you will just have to wait, even though I know the suspense is very stressful and bad for your heart.

The two I have vaped and do not care for are the Carmel Pear Black Tea and the Carmel Coffee. So I have decided, I do not particularly like carmel for vaping even though I can sit and eat a bag full of Kraft caramels in one sitting.

I actually said pretty much the exact same thing in an email to Wlad a few weeks ago, and then I tried CPBT again and low and behold I love it! It's a tricky one, and I'd recommend giving it another try at some point because it will probably continue to change.

Hi Gramva, Thanks for the input. It isn't a question of the complexity of your taste buds, it's sheer numbers. The more tastebuds you have, the more sensitive you are to certain flavors, and the more you can "pick out" flavors from a melange of them. If Kale or Brussel Sprouts make you gag from the bitterness, or the thick icing on cheap store bought cake makes you want to claw it from the roof of your mouth, chances are good you're a "super taster". I'm middle of the road, but years of critical wine drinking has helped sharpen the senses I do have. My wife is a super taster, but has learned to appreciate the strong flavors of bitter and fatty foods.

Also, there are aroma kits, built primarily for wine tasters, that include dozens of different samplers that assist beginners in identifying various flavors. These can be a real help, because you have them there with you. You can taste the wine, and then sort through likely candidates to really nail down what you are tasting/smelling in the wine. Practice does help, and it is a subtle difference between blackberry and elderberry, but with practice, you can get a lot closer to being accurate than without.

There is a compound called TCA that forms in a cork after bleaching. It ruins a wine, the term used is "corked". TCA is an acronym for a really long chemical name. Anyway, it is measured in parts per TRILLION. In one study, at 1 PPT only 6% of a group could identify its presence. At 2 PPT, the number jumped to 23% . At 8 PPT, 60% could identify it, but even at 32 PPT, 3% STILL could not identify it. There is a band below everyones level of perception, where the flavor of the wine tastes "muted", but the corked taste is not yet evident. Anyway, it proves there is a very large range of difference in individuals ability to taste and identify flavors. Don't give up. You can't increase the number of taste buds, but you CAN improve your recognition of flavors by really concentrating on what you are tasting, and thinking about what flavors you have tasted that are comparable.

Bunch'a enablers! I've added Boba Tea to my wishlist, and of the flavoring choices, I requested Watermelon. NO idea what Boba tea plain tastes like, but I'm thinking that watermelon can't possibly overwhelm it, and would add a little juicy sparkle to it (I keep fearing that bland thing). Besides, I have no juices with Watermelon. Those with Boba experience, sound OK to you? Other than that, and Grape Vine, I'm going Chocolate City with Dutch Chocolate Mint and Chocolate Cream. Probably add another couple before I'm done. Sublime and Maple Dream look mighty tempting. Kiwi Sea too, anyone had it? Sweet or sour? Also, moving to 12mg as part of my master plan to reduce my nicotine intake.

Ooooh, this sounds like a mighty tasty little order! Boba Tea w watermelon...hmmmm? Well....I have never actually had real Boba tea (also known as Bubble tea) to drink (although I am desperately trying to find it now that I have been vaping it), but I'm not sure watermelon would be my first pick. This is just my own opinion though...I highly doubt Wlad & Alley would give choices that wouldn't work with it. I will try to explain my thought process here as best as possible though. I have vaped the plain boba tea, and obviously the honeydew version, which I am absolutely in love with. The Boba Tea flavor itself is a fairly subtle flavor, milky & sweet. Those are the two best words I can use to describe it. The honeydew adds a really nice fruity sweetness, on top of that already somewhat sweet milky tea. To me, honeydew is a more mellow flavor than watermelon....and for me personally, I'm not sure I'd want the milky/creamy combo with watermelon. Again....this is just personal preference. Other fruits I personally think would work well with it, would be maybe strawberry or coconut...just because the creamy combo with those fruits is something I personally like. I will also say this though....I probably would not have selected honeydew for this one if I hadn't done some research on Boba tea (the beverage) before ordering, and came to find out honeydew was one of the more popular flavors. Before reading that, I'm not sure I would have liked the idea of honeydew combined with a milky/creamy flavor. So just some food for thought here. Again...I'm not experienced with this actual beverage, and I doubt Wlad and Alley would give options for it that wouldn't work....but if you don't think you'd like the combo of watermelon and a slightly creamy flavor, you might want to go another route.

I don't know if this makes any sense at all...I find it really hard to put my thoughts about my tastes and these flavors into words at times, but hopefully it helps in one way, shape or form.

Second, congrats on dropping the nic level! I went down from 18mg to 12mg about 4 or 5 mos ago, and to be totally honest, I did not notice any difference at all. Maybe a difference in TH with some specific juices, but not overly noticeable. I am actually thinking about going down to 6mg with these juices...but have been hesitant to bite the bullet just yet.

Lastly...I am also super curious about Kiwi Sea....i think that will definitely be a part of my next order. Would love to hear more about it from anyone who has tried it though.

Many also believe that overwhelming your smell can help strengthen it. Find something with a very strong aroma (lemon oil, vanilla extract, etc) and hit your sense of smell with it a few times a day. It's a theory but it does seem to make you more sensitive. But most of all, time and practice improve tasting, super taster or not.

When I first started tasting wine I was baffled and thought everyone was making up what they tasted. Now I can pick out all kinds of secondary and tertiary flavor notes simply due to training. Quitting smoking also super powered my nose and palate in a major way.

Welcome JP! I'm a big fan of Moueix's Pomerols, and Dominus. I have a lot of his wines, and got a rare invite to tour their "secret" new winery in Napa before it opened. VERY cool winery. Made with baskets of rocks that let the air through. The rocks heat during the day, and the air passing through warms the winery at night. They cool during the night, and provide cool air during the day. It was awesome. The tasting afterwards didn't suck either. If you friend me, you'll be able to take a look at my personal cellar.

I was able to order some Boba tea with Honeydew a week or so ago, as recommended by my buddy Marc, and I love it, tastes like the real thing. My other buddy let me try his Tiramisu, which is delicious. Alusion says they will be back in full time order mode tomorrow, Wednesday the 7th, so I hope that is the case, as I can't wait to try more of their juices.

That's awesome. I have only had Petrus twice but have had a number of Dominus vintages. Amazing wines. Personally I am a Burgundy fanatic. I appreciate Bdx and Napa but for my money it's all Burgs all day!

I agree 100%. I used to work for Gary Vaynerchuk. While he has a very good palate, his laundry lists of 10 to 20 notes per wine are a bit ridiculous.

Well, I don't brush my teeth with Petrus, and sold some after the "Chinese Invasion". It just got ridiculous. When I grow up, I'm going to drink Burgs! It is SO hit and miss, and the prices! I love them, and stick to top producers to avoid the crapshoot, but Burgundy is absolutely THE most challenging area to get to know. Everything is so micro.

Sorry, Scarf; there are just SO MANY terrific juices on A+'s menu, I'm only now getting around to their tobaccos! Also, what Mann said: I'm BGB curious, but not terribly interested in the "River" line-up. Smooth Criminal, OTOH . . . (I also already have a fav maple tobacco, although I haven't touched it in months -! - Vermillion River's KPB Maplewood. )

I'll comment quickly on the Melonade...the first couple of weeks I also felt like I could taste anything except the lime. That has since really mellowed, and now its much sweet, very real honeydew flavor, with hints of lime. It did take a few weeks to get there though

Ya know, I could've told you that, if you'd only asked . . . Now I'm having to take my own bitter advice, waiting for the honeydew to finally bloom in my Boba's!

I've never had Boba (Bubble) tea either . . . something about those blobs of tapioca floating in the liquid just -- urgh -- 'nuff said. My first Ahlusion Boba was the coconut, which is delicious. I'm glad you mentioned strawberry, because I think that will be my next Boba "experiment." I'm currently waiting for the Honeydew in my Honeydew Boba to assert itself, but I'm sure once it does it will be heavenly.

As for CPBT: I TOLD YOU SO!! Now you guys know why I chose CPBT to get me through that one recent very long very nerve frazzled day. There are just so many wonderful, soothing, satisfying qualities to CPBT (18mg, 70/30).

In other news: O frabjous day!! Callooh! Callay! Last night I found a whole 30ml bottle of Smooth Criminal hiding in my stash, completely forgotten! Deo gratias!!!

Yep....that's exactly how I was trying to look at it. I can't get my arms around that combo, and I'm not sure if its just because I have never seen that combo? Is it the "watery" aspect of real watermelon that makes it less appealing, but if we remove texture and just think of the flavors could it be heavenly? There is obviously a part of me that is getting kind of curious now! LOL

Yep, I'm pretty sure it was your enthusiasm for CPBT that had me put it on my very first order. I've been getting more kisses than kicks from it lately, so I think it has a major steep curve. It is just shy of two months old now for me.

So what would YOU think watermelon would be like in the Boba, Eleanor? Seems like Honeydew is the preferred mix, but I have Melon Berry Frost, which I seem to get more honeydew and Cantaloupe from than Watermelon. I'd like something a little more crisp and red and I already have lotsa strawberry stuff.

I'm still waiting on my last order from Ahlusion. It seems to be stuck somewhere! But it has Boba Tea with chocolate and another with coffee. Next order will be one with honeydew and another with watermelon. I think it will be great with watermelon. Going to ask for a sample of it with coconut. I'm working my way through the options!

Moueix- just reporting in on the kiwi sea - I went with sweet as Kiwi is naturally sweet to me - and while this is a totally flavorful vape- wait till you only sniff it.......it is a bit TOO sweet for me & next time I will try it with the sour option instead

Now as for what IS too sweet for me so you can compare (and I know I will get some skillets for this one).......SVC (eeeek) and Car Mal Mambo (eeeek) - both are wonderful juices - just too sweet for me to vape for any length of time......

As for watermelon - I have yet to have Ahlusions - but will most likely try the watermelon juice on the menu Watermelon Jubelance
"A naturally sweet and crisp Watermelon and other fruit flavor" I thinks omeone mentioned this juice on the thread at some point- so maybe someone could chime in.

The Melon berry frost satisfies my melon cravings - along with the boba honeydew. I also have the honeydew wipeout and while good it does not blow me away

I truly want that grape vine - so Im excited to see what you think
