I'm still waiting on my last order from Ahlusion. It seems to be stuck somewhere! But it has Boba Tea with chocolate and another with coffee. Next order will be one with honeydew and another with watermelon. I think it will be great with watermelon. Going to ask for a sample of it with coconut. I'm working my way through the options!

Awesome, Bukket! You're going to be the Doyen of all things Boba! Definitely interested in the Chocolate and Coffee, although for my first, I'd think that was going out on a limb. Coconut tempted me, as all their coconut things have such a wonderful creaminess to them. Alas, I have lots of coconut and don't want to get stuck in a rut. I say that, while I order yet more chocolate vapes. We're going to have all have our own expertise with the various flavors it seems! Mann and Tez are our resident tobacco experts, CinnaMonkey our Strawberry expert, and we need for Eleanor to order EVERYthing, so we know how long to steep each juice.

Thanks for your input too! Unless someone with Boba Watermelon experience thumbs it down, it's a done deal.

Thanks for the input Daniele! I'm imagining a piece of honeydew with a dollop of Cool Whip, and thinking, MMmmm... But if I imagine the same with Watermelon? I'm still thinking, MMmmm... But I do appreciate the perspective. Keep it coming, I can be talked out of it!

Order I just received last week has Boba + Watermelon. I like it. It threw me off at first as the only watermelon vapes I like are more on the light and refreshing side. The creamy milky texture with the watermelon was odd at first. But it is definitely delicious. And their watermelon flavoring is great not overly candy or artificial like some. It is really tasty but I'm letting it steep some more.

Moueix- just reporting in on the kiwi sea - I went with sweet as Kiwi is naturally sweet to me - and while this is a totally flavorful vape- wait till you only sniff it.......it is a bit TOO sweet for me & next time I will try it with the sour option instead:)

Now as for what IS too sweet for me so you can compare (and I know I will get some skillets for this one).......SVC (eeeek) and Car Mal Mambo (eeeek) - both are wonderful juices - just too sweet for me to vape for any length of time......

As for watermelon - I have yet to have Ahlusions - but will most likely try the watermelon juice on the menu Watermelon Jubelance
"A naturally sweet and crisp Watermelon and other fruit flavor" I thinks omeone mentioned this juice on the thread at some point- so maybe someone could chime in.

The Melon berry frost satisfies my melon cravings - along with the boba honeydew. I also have the honeydew wipeout and while good it does not blow me away:)

I truly want that grape vine - so Im excited to see what you think

Thanks NewB, Kiwi Sour it is! Sounds REALLY good to me, and "flavorful" is what I'm looking for right now. I have more than enough subtle juices for those moods.

SWEET! The Jury is IN. THANKS JP, I'm going to try it. Would you suggest any specific changes to the standard model?

Well, I don't brush my teeth with Petrus, and sold some after the "Chinese Invasion". It just got ridiculous. When I grow up, I'm going to drink Burgs! It is SO hit and miss, and the prices! I love them, and stick to top producers to avoid the crapshoot, but Burgundy is absolutely THE most challenging area to get to know. Everything is so micro.

That is exactly why I love it! So much to learn and explore. I am fascinated by the minute differences between producer, and terroir. Burgundy can get really addictive. You taste a Vosne-Romanee and think "wow that's really good" then you think... hmm well if I like that will I like something from Les Suchots even more? Or what about this producers Gevrey vs. someone elses.

And yes it does get very pricey, but working for a Burgundy importer helps some. The wine that got me hooked on Burgs, 1976 Leroy Pommard Les Rugiens. Absolutely mind blowing.

Ok now I will stop derailing this thread sorry lol.

Hmm. I confess I'm agnostic on the whole concept of watermelon vaping. I'm the wrong person to ask, I'm afraid. :( Maybe Axolotly has an opinion?

 Upon first tasting your Melonade, you must have thought I was crazy!

When i first got it and took a whiff....2 things crossed my mind "either they listened to Eleanor and added A LOT more lime" or "The Steeptress Savant is at it again...and this stuff needs some alone time!" Definitely glad it was #2....because I love it!

Sadly this is the first Boba I have ever had. So I have nothing to compare it to. A friend recommended Boba with Honeydew which I was about to order... but I love my watermelon vapes (the good ones) so I switched it. Happy I did, it's really tasty.

This thread CONSTANTLY derails. It's not an official vendor site, it's our home. I live in a rural area without access to good stores, so I have to rely on reviews to avoid the potholes. I'd subscribe to BurgHound, but man, I know what that subscription would end up costing me. This isn't like 1985 anymore either, by the time a good review is published, poof, wine's gone OR you'll pay through the nose. With Bordeaux, I only need to know which vintages are tops, I already know my favorites there. But I stopped my trophy buying after the 2000's. The Chinese have driven that market to dizzying heights. I keep a couple of my old CaliCult list wines going, Pinot and Rhone varietals only. Rochioli, Sine Qua Non but I've gotten rid of the rest. New producers are fun, like Rhys, but once they get a long wait list, they'll go all Harlan too, and I'll drop.

My Burg epiphany was '85 La Tache. Gift from a friend in my wine circle. I tried to buy more, and fainted. And that was YEARS ago. I like Dujac's CdlR, but found his lesser wines to be much better value for the small difference in quality.

I wonder if Wlad can make something that tastes like Leroy?

Hey all! Well, I am just about out of my Ahlusion stuff. I have enough to keep me going 4 days tops. Wishing and hoping that my order on hold will possibly go into preparation/shipping in the next day or two. Hope you all are doing good! I am hitting on some Ginger Apple Tea this afternoon and it's lovely! The ginger actually tingles!

Oh my what I would give for an 85 La Tache. I have had a few DRC's and they are truly magical. But rarely would I choose to spend the $ for them when I can get 4 or more bottles of amazing Grand Cru wines from other producers. Dujac is amazing, and yes their Premier and village wines do offer some (relative) great values. Some personal fave producers that offer some good value: L'Arlot, Confuron-Cotetidot, Esmonin, Lamy0Pillot. All really solid and not fetching the DRC, Rousseau, Roumier type prices.

As for Burghound... do it. I love his writing style and his palate is impeccable. I also love that his scoring is not inflated at all. The 100 point scores he has ever given can be counted using 1 finger. Perfection is perfection as far as he is concerned and it happened once... 1945 Romanee-Conti.

Are you going to make it, Crafty? If Ahlusion is your only supply, PM me your address and I'll shoot you a list of what I have, and mail you some of whatever you'd like. Don't want to see one of my friends fall back on old habits, ya know.

Does he supply a good amount of <$100/btl reviews? I'm not a spring chicken anymore, and can't shelf them for 20 years before touching them like I used to. If I'm going to go baby-killing, I want to do it on the cheaper side of the spectrum.

Hello there All Ahlusion fans! Even tho ahlusion was not a good fit for me I do need to give them huge credit for carto friendliness. I just noticed today that my EMDCC has lasted a whole month!!! I have been vaping a 50/50 mix of Serious Cider (which i do love btw) and my carto is still white on the inside and even when I top it off the liquid that does come out is barely tinted. I feel like I should get a new carto, but why? The flavor is still good and it still fires. Maybe I will vape a whole 30 ml, who knows!!

Also I do have a few flavors I would be interested in trading if anyone has Serious Cider they dont care for or have too much of, I would be happy to trade! :) I have Carmel Mambo, Boboa tea w carmel, Ricks Request, and WA Sasparilla, and a couple others.

Glad to hear your getting extra life out of those cartos! That's always a plus!

Which recipe of the Serious Cider are you enjoying? I have both, and they just aren't for me unfortunately.

Here is my take on how to approach Boba Tea, Moueix:

Boba Tea (the actual drink, also referred to as bubble tea) is one of my favorite things in the world. I've tried countless times to make it myself (I still have a bunch of tapioca balls in my cabinet that I need to try again with), but I prefer to go to the pros. I would constantly get straight up black milk tea bubble tea in NYC and Jersey whenever I was out and about. The concept of a Boba Tea vape brought me to Ahlusion in the first place. :)

Just like with anything, bubble tea has so many different configurations it is crazy. In any bubble tea cafe in Chinatown, you'll see a menu like this:

ELAnP.jpg

You'll get anything from taro to guava to red bean to [insert anything you can imagine] bubble tea flavors. I've tried so many, but I have always gone back to plain old black tea (or green tea on occasion).

The taste of a base (tea) with sweet milk and tapioca is an experience unto itself. That is why my first order (and my reorder) was unflavored.

I might eventually order a small bottle with a flavor added to see how it goes, but in my mind starting with an added flavor would be like smothering a steak (or seitan in my case!) in ketchup. Sure, if you don't like the magic that makes steak taste like steak, throw a bunch of ketchup on that #*@^#! But definitely try it without the ketchup, first. :)
