Great. I appreciate the detailed answer... I kinda thought it was set up that way with analogue versions but didnt really pair Honey Cured with Gold Rising since the latter is an Ry4...

Gold Rising is an attempt at the original ry4, being honey and tobacco. If you like vanilla I highly suggest Vurley. It's an aro but less intense tobacco than the big hitters like Blue Grass Burley and Devil Dog. And if you really want an ry4 you could add a little caramel to it to achieve the holy trinity.

Ah. I've never heard that about the original ry4... I can see that from the blends I have tried to claim they were close to the original- couldnt really separate out a vanilla.... Thanks.

Oh, man. I HATE when Academicians make me embarrassed for having sold out.
Don't think of it as "selling out." Think of it as "facilitating the grand cru lifestyle that 'interesting' academics can only dream of while poring over freshman essays that would make any sane person fear for the future of our once great nation."

:)

Anyhow, I happened to be in a wine shop yesterday, and thought of you.

Have you ever considered doing a blog/thread/site that pairs eliquids and wines - or even eliquids and beverages generally? I think people would really appreciate your expertise in this area - I know I would.

Haha! Thank you for the graceful pardon.

In my admittedly short time as a vaper, I have only found one significant pairing of note. Just as with food, Champagne (or most any dry or slightly off dry sparkler) works as a tremendous foil, and significantly enhances my ability to taste the flavors of Eliquids. The combination of acidity and effervescence cleanse the palate beautifully and lay those chemoreceptors bare. Certainly not a "pairing" in the traditional sense, but I find that I can taste the nuances of an eliquid MUCH better when drinking a sparkler.

One inexpensive sparkler that I am confident to recommend to better taste your vapes, is the Prosecco from Zardetto. Amazingly affordable and a tremendous value at about $10/btl. I buy cases for an everyday wine to keep on hand whenever the mood strikes, which is probably TOO often.

I just received my latest order from Ahlusion today. I placed the order on January 31st, so a little over two weeks before I received it, and I'm only one state away from Ahlusion. The wait will be worth it though. I restocked my Smooth Criminal and Cranberry Pear Black Tea, so at least I know I won't rum out of those anytime soon. I'll need to restock Sleigh Ride pretty soon. The ordering never ends...sigh...

What a pleasant thought - especially for summertime.

I'll make a note of it. :)

I've found champagne/spumante/sparkling wine to be the perfect palate cleanser (and just a plain old good thing to sip..guzzle..whatever) with vaping too. 5+46

I would say there isn't a huge difference in the coil wrecking abilities of the two but the aromatics still are a little heavier on the coils than non-aromatics. However when it comes to flavor there is a considerable difference between the two. The non-aromatics are very mild in the tobacco department where as the aromatics are very much in your face and no holds bar in the tobacco department. A crafty idea, if you find the non aromatics to be too strong for your tastebuds or find the non aromatics two light you can always mix them as long as you have the non aromatic and aromatic counter part. Example, honey cured and Gold Rising, Cocoa Blend and Deal Maker. Smokin Cherries and Cherry House Blend ect.

Let's not forget the ever perfect combination of Smooth Criminal and BGB. SC really takes the bite out of BGB and the result is a near perfect vape. My favorite ratio is 25% BGB / 75% SC

Just received 60ml of Apple Berry Splash & Melon Berry Splash. The way the orders are backing up I might have to put in the next order now. Last year nobody knew about how good their juices were and now they are backed up. Thats what happens when your product is so good.

I agree. There are many newer juice vendors that seem to be getting hammered, but are also expanding. I think this is great news! Tells the old school vendors(can I call them that yet?) they need to step up their game. I hope to get an order in for some Blue Fairy today!

Now I am getting worried. I have had an account at Ahlusion for a few months, and asked what they would suggests for me with the set up I was using. That was about 3 months ago. I never got a reply. About a month and a half ago I asked again. No reply. I went to sign in this morning and now my username and password doesn't work. I used the forgot password button, and it says my email address is not found. What gives?

I had a problem yesterday there with it saying my username and password didn't match when I logged into my account..and yet was able to add something to my wishlist, which clearly wouldn't have been there if my username and password hasn't actually been active. I cleared my cache and restarted my browser and it didn't reoccur. I've had a similar issue there (as at other sites) from time to time with Chrome and found that I could switch to Firefox and be okay. I'd be inclined to suspect browser issues before anything else.

I had the username and password not matching issue before I placed my last order. Clearing my cache and changing browsers made no difference. Oddly enough, I could access my wish list and account info but could not order. Resetting my password fixed it. I included a note about the issue when I placed my order.

My order went in on Feb. 1 and got a shipping notice on Sunday, the 17th so it might be a good idea to plan your orders accordingly for the time being. I would actually rather wait a few more days for my juice than seeing Wlad working seven days a weeks to keep up. Even passionate workaholics need some down time.
