So Cal
My new tanks arrived today, and I'm so thrilled with them. I've had the cartos primed and ready for a week, so popped them in for the perfect vape:p I'm amazed at how easy they are - how reliable, and how consistent the flavor is. No leaking, no mess (except for the intial priming and filling - but I'm a bit clutzy sometimes!). I can stick them in my purse and they don't leak, no matter what position they're in. Which brings me to my question: I have to take a trip by air in about 10 days - will they leak in my hand luggage? They're not part of my stealth vape equipment, but I'd rather not have to empty them out to fly, because I don't quite seem to have the hang of that:oops:

So now I have 4....but that doesn't seem enough...:vapor:

And, OCD, thank you so much for throwing in that extra tank with my order - what wonderful people to do business with - thank you!

I wouldn't take filled tanks you don't mind losing. There have been reports of filled tanks not being allowed past the TSA screenings, as the contents wherein are not easily identifiable. I just returned from a week abroad and only took empty tanks, in my carry on. Pre-filled cartos and Halo Triton tanks were enough to get me through 20 hours of travel to reach my final destination.

I have taken literally thousands of them on a plane, they will pull you aside for that many and ask some questions :) Imagine what a full carryon of cartomizers looks like on the xray. Never got two glances at all the mods in my carryon along with tanks with liquid in them. The tanks I put into a ziplock going through TSA. These were domestic flights so I dont know if international might be different.

Why would Halo Triton tanks get through screening and not cartotanks? (I have Halo tanks too, so just wondering!)

There's no better chance they would, but I don't care if I lose a $7 tank.

There was a thread about someone losing filled tanks at a checkpoint. I had a connection at Amsterdam last week. They were pretty curious and swabbed everything, but I got through, no problems.

Had no issues with full tanks, put them into the thingy and the air pressure will stay the same in there as it is sealed air tight. if you do have one for, um covert activities make sure it is full. It is the air in a tank that will give you troubles as it expands or contracts, more air, more trouble.

Here is a fun fact, water when it flashes to steam expands 1700 times. Air can compress quite a lot but not under atmospheric pressure differences at altitude, thing is it doesnt take much. If it can double or halve itself that will wreak havoc with the liquid in a tank as it tries to move the liquid out of the way to make room for its new self.

Remember the holes that feed the cartomizer Are in the bottom of the tank. if you do have a low tank turn it upside down when gaining altitude and all it can push into the cartomizer is air because the liquid level isnt up as high as the holes. The Mrs used to commute over a mile high peak between our home and her old job. She always had flooding issues, funny thing is they cleared up as she went down the other side of the pass, the upside down helped her when she forgot to fill her tanks before leaving.
